Quidditch. That word had become so so familiar to the young lion; so familiar that she didn't flinch anymore when her grip on the broom loosened for a second; so familiar that she didn't hesitate to get on the broom anymore. It had become a passion, something she suddenly enjoyed doing after being reluctant about. And now she couldn't let it go. One after another, the unofficial Quidditch matches kept finding their way to her, and she, of course, participated most of the time. Now she was the one moderating it. The thought sent chills down her spine. She know could feel how the other moderators were feeling when they were standing here. For the first time in quite a while, many months, she felt scared when it came to Quidditch. What if she messed something up and someone ended up injured? Oh, no. No, no, no. That wouldn't, shouldn't happen. The match couldn't be that brutal, right? There were just a bunch of first- and second-years, with the exception of Luuk, a fourth-year student from Castelobruxo. Was he going to go easy on the younger students? Ophelia didn't know the answer to that, frankly, she also wasn't sure if she wanted to know the answer to that.
"Alright! I hope everyone here knows at least a bit about Quidditch! Be careful out there, and please don't die!" Oh, the responsibility that would come with that, she cringed at the thought of having to deal with unconscious students; nope, no negative thoughts were acceptable at the moment. "The game will start at my signal. Mount your brooms, everyone, and have fun!" She mounted her own broom, a Nimbus 1000, and moved to the side to have a good view of the match. And the game started.

I stepped onto the Quidditch training pitch with the school broom in my hand looking around the pitch for a moment.
I had watched Quidditch matches before so the sight of the pitch and the players was nt completely new to me. But being here as an actual player felt very different.
This was my first time trying quidditch.
I was not exactly an amazing flyer either. I was fair with a broom though. I could stay in the air without falling offq and I could control my direction well enough. That was something at least.
I walked towards my position and looked down at the broom in my hand. It was just a school broom nothing particularly special but I didn't mind. I wasn't here to show off.
I was here to play.
And somehow I was not as nervous as I thought I would be.
I took a small breath and placed the broom on the ground beside me. Then I carefully swung one leg over it and setled onto the seat.
My hands were wrapped around the handle.
I shifted slightly until I felt comfortabl then gave the broom a small push with my foot. It lifted just enough for me to feel the movement of the air around me.
I smiled faintly.
Okay I can do this.
I slowly rose a little higher keeping my broom steady and making sure I did not drift too far from my position. My eyes moved across the pitch looking at the other players.
I tightened my grip .
I was a Beater now.
Al I had to do was wait for the game to begin.

Evgenia was not one for balls, parties, or any kind of social event that was not a skating competition. Even so, she had chosen to attend the Fall Ball - for one thing: the unofficial Quidditch match.
A second-year named Ophelia Vanderbilt was organizing it, and Evgenia actually remembered her as an opposing second-string beater in the September unofficial match. Evgenia had played against two of her new teammates for the Fall Ball then as well - Denisse, then the first-string seeker and now a beater, and Riley, a first-string chaser both matches. To put the icing on the cake, Zhenya had apparently been appointed the captain of Team 1 for this match.
The only other person she recognized here from the September match was Diana, the other team's seeker, who had been a second-string on Zhenya's team in September. All the new faces and names were no struggle for Zhenya to file away in her memory. Penelope, her one-time study partner, was here and seemed to be a beater on Team 2. Interesting. Zhenya hadn't really thought Penelope seemed a sportsy type, but it was nice to see her here.
She'd finally gotten onto the Hufflepuff team, now their second-string chaser, though there had been no official games yet. Sylvia, one of team 1's second-strings today, had managed to coax other students she knew into lending brooms to a bunch of Team 1's players, and instead of her school broom, Zhenya now found herself holding a Silver Arrow. She could already tell that it was better quality than the school brooms, even without having actually tried to ride it yet. I need to get myself a good broom. Perhaps she could save up for a good-quality one - she didn't want to be buying multiple brooms over seven years because she kept setting her sights on a different one. And especially since she was bound to become a first-string player eventually, she'd need a good broom.
Zhenya swung herself onto the Silver Arrow at Ophelia's instructions, grinning as she launched into the air. She glanced around for her teammate chasers, Riley and the girl from Ilvermorny named Ivy, positioning herself near the middle of the pitch. One particular opposing chaser looked concerning to the girl - the oldest player on the field, a boy from Castelobruxo. We'll need to watch out for him.
This game was going to be excellent.

____Millie tied up her hair into a loose ponytail as the wind swept her face in the moment she step foot in this training pitch. Never in her life the girl had imagined she would be here as a player rather than a watcher. She forcefully gulped her slightly nervousness back to her throat.
____Walking with this Silver Arrow broom in her grip which her upperclassman had so kindly lent her, Millie felt like she was carrying a heavy load on her shoulder, although she realized this was meant for her team's spark of advantage on the starter. She just hopes she doesn't screw this up that badly to the point of breaking this highly price broom which totally not hers.
____At the field, Millie met her eyes to her so-called team captain of this unofficially friendly match, Starkova, who also been lent a Silver Arrow just like her. Millie just nod her head as she doesn't know what to do or say to her. She then ran her eyes to the other teammates and opponent which she familiar with their face, either they came from same house and year as her or had met in a brief moment before.
____Then finally, Ophelia gave her opening speech. As usual, warned us about what should do and not in this match. With that being said, Millie climbed the broom carefully and took off to her assigned position. Eyes to eyes with Diana.

Sylvia stood there with her Comet 180. While the Hufflepuff Broom Fund doesn't restrict access to brooms for non-Quidditch members, Sylvia still managed to convince, a.k.a bribe Verity Engels to at least give her the least significant broom, Comet 180, since Quidditch matches was around that time and didn't likely want Sylvia to break the broom.
But Sylvia wasn't flying, she's second-string. She scoffed at the opposing team's school brooms and smirked at herself, she knew she was good at negotiating, for she both at least three Silver Arrows for her first-string members with umm... bribery.
She hollered, "LET'S PLAY DIRTY Y'ALL AND WIN!", having a few weird glances cast at her. However, as much as she would LOVE TO CHEAT, she scoffed as @Evgenia Starkova was a bratty goodie two-shoes. She can easily tell she's a Muggle-Born and she knew that she would have to learn the hard way that in order to excel at Quidditch, one must... cheat. Why did she even join Quidditch if she didn't like cheating, maybe join Duelling instead where that's rather impossible? She had to wonder why everyone else elected Evgenia and hoped that she could maybe scream and try to manipulate their actions?
She sat down next to her cousin, Fawkes Chaos, who unlike Sylvia didn't have much of a clue about Quidditch. She then just lied down, since the bench was very spacious, and said to @Fawkes Chaos, "Tis is going ta be so boring, wake me up when tis is over."

Bella had dreamed of this moment. Her first quidditch game, and although it was unofficial, it didn't make it less real.
It was a beautiful afternoon, and Bella was at the quidditch training pitch, along with her teammates and opponents. Her hair flew in her face as she took a deep breath, calming the last-minute nerves that had arisen.
The thing was...she wasn't actually playing. She was second-string, meaning that she was technically "benched" until she needed to get in. At least, that was how she interpreted it.
She looked at the beautiful broom in her hand. A Comet 180, which was lent by her teammate, a friendly second-year named Lily Clarke. Bella at least hoped that she would be able to fly on it once, if not during the game, but after.
When she walked over to the bench, she saw the other two second-string players -- who were cousins -- @Fawkes Chaos and @Sylvia Savage. It seemed like Sylvia was...napping? She shrugged, waving it off.
"Hi!" she waved, sitting down on the other side of Fawkes. "How are you guys? Isn't it such a beautiful day for a quidditch match? Maybe just a bit windy, though. Anyways, this is my first quidditch match, and I'm super excited!" She talked as she watched everybody get ready.
"Come on, everyone! Let's do this!" she cheered as she looked on, smiling.
And then, the game started.

And so here she was, in the Quidditch Training Pitch, on a windy morning. Supposedly "representing" their family, the family who didn't really care much about her, but nevertheless her family.
She had her Nimbus 1700 in her hand, having lent her other Comets' to her team members. She walked to her team, staying behind just enough so that she was a part of the discussion, but not entirely close to anyone, since she didn't knew anyone, although, a few faces were familiar.
"LET'S PLAY DIRTY Y'ALL AND WIN!" one of her teammates shouted, making the corners of her lips lift just slightly. The Puff had definitely got some spirit. She would remember that at least.
She walked to the pitch, listening to Ophelia, who was one of the Beaters in one of the unofficial matches she had attended. She half-heard about the do's and don'ts, and finally mounted her broom.
To her surprise, her hands weren't trembling, not this time, not even slightly. Perhaps, just perhaps, she had gotten some sort of confidence, some sort of defiance, some sort of want to show her family, especially that sickening Nova, that she wasn't entirely useless.
And then they kicked off.
