Koldovstoretz NPC
Name: Marcel Cvitković
PC Name: Charlotte Winfield
Year: 2nd year

Status: Half-Blood (Metamorphmagus)
Residence: Murmansk, Russia
Nationality: Croatian (PRP)
History:
A week before Marcel’s birth, his father disappeared. It had been a quiet day in that small emergency room, looking out over the expansive Adriatic Sea in Rovinj, but Klara Cvitković had summoned just enough courage to bring her son into the world, and with that last push it seemed all the hope was drained out of her and spread onto her one son.
Immediately after Marcel's birth, Klara fell into a deep depression. Barely able to take care of him, she was forced by her mother and father to move back in with them in Stari Grad. In a quaint family house just a small walk from the water, Marcel was quietly raised. His grandfather, a fisherman, spent early mornings out at sea, while his grandmother stayed home and kept the old house from falling apart. His mother was rarely home, often picking up various odd-jobs around town or hiding away at the bar until sunrise.
Early on, Marcel learned that there was very little he couldn't get away with. When he wanted to go out, he would go out. When he wanted to stay in, he stayed in. He could sleep when he wanted to, play when he wanted to, no matter the time of day. Oftentimes he would find himself stumbling down to the harbor and watching for fish, his nose just inches away from the cool surface.
He spent very little time engaging with the other children in town, though the island left very little space for solitude. Hidden in the shade of an olive tree, tucked behind the schoolhouse with a book, or, more often, encased in the comfort of his bed. Another thing he learned quite early was that his looks could be quite the weapon. Adults found him cute as a button. His female peers found him hopelessly attractive. Boys found him comically feminine. The older he got, the more comfortable he was using his beauty to get what he wanted.
At age 9, Marcel met his father. A lazy Saturday morning had been quickly derailed by a ferocious knock at the door, followed by a terse, emotional conversation between his grandmother and a strange man whose voice he didn’t recognize. Only a moment later, a man who looked strangely similar to him came marching in. The revelation that this strange man was actually his father, and had returned to connect the boy with his magical roots, sent Marcel’s life spiraling off-course.
There were exactly three days in-between the coming and the going, three days his father camped out at the hotel a few blocks down. He would come in the mornings to take Klara away, and they would walk the waterfront, chatting in low, angry voices. Marcel would watch from his bedroom window. It was the third day that Klara gave a tight nod and let her head fall in her hands. This was a relent. Giving her son away to his roots. And it had only taken her three days.
It was unclear to the boy, at least at first, that the few days he had spent packing and preparing to leave home would be his last ever seeing his mother and grandparents. It wasn’t until he was long off the island, interspersed with his father’s rich descriptions of distant fields and honor, that he discovered how wizards viewed nonmagi. This was when they came to Russia.
For one month, Marcel’s father worked tirelessly to educate his son on a small life’s worth of magical knowledge. He demonstrated elaborate spells Marcel had only dreamt of before, read him endless books on wizarding history. And still, Marcel rebelled. He would sneak away from lessons to lounge on the back deck, tuck the pages of old classics into his study books, do anything he could to remind his father of the betrayal he brought on by abandoning his family.
Despite nearly 10 years of living a nonmagi life, blissfully unaware of the wizarding world and his magical blood, Marcel was swept away by his father to attend Koldovstoretz.
After this day, Marcel developed a deep resentment for wizardry. He still attended Koldovstoretz per his father’s demand, but his commitment to a magical education was loose. He immediately gained a reputation for being notably lazy and uncaring, an unfamiliar experience for the boy who had once been so highly regarded by his peers.
First Magic:
At age 4, Marcel experienced his first encounter with magic. Klara had been convinced by her mother to take the small boy down to the beach for the evening, and she had promptly set up a towel on the sand and drifted off. Marcel, bored by his mother’s inactivity, wandered off into the water. The water stayed shallow for a ways, only reaching so far as his chin. Suddenly, though, he reached a drop-off, plummeting into the deep dark below. He clawed violently at the surface, unable to keep his little head above the water, when suddenly, a strong wind passed through. The current carried Marcel all the way back to the beach, before the water settled back as it was.

His father was able to make a case for him as well, claiming that Marcel was well-trained and would not cause any trouble. This was, of course, a fabrication, but accurate enough to allow Marcel proper entry.

Marcel was never the same. Not by his eyes, his ears, not by the thrum of his beating heart. He was different in all ways, at all times, though no one seemed to notice. They weren’t looking close enough. But it was there, in his mind and, more often, on his face.
The root of Marcel’s peculiarity came long before he learned he was a wizard, though it manifested in ways that were not so clear to others. Perhaps one day he would arrive to class with dark auburn hair, and the next day it would shift to a warm caramel. It was nearly imperceptible, this change, and consistent enough that it could almost be passed off as a quirk in pigmentation. He was odd, after all. Odd people did odd things, looked odd.
Marcel did not remember much of his infancy, as typical for a growing boy, and his mother was adamant on keeping it that way. He would often pester her to share stories from his youth, before memories had begun forming from emotion. But his mother would shrug him away, telling him to leave it to his imagination. Marcel did not know why she kept this secret. Not until the changes became harder to ignore.
It was one trait in particular that had begun to go rogue. His eyes. At age 5 he had grown prone to nightmares, waking up with a scream in a pool of his own cold sweat. Some nights were worse than others. One night was the worst. He had awoken unable to move, tethered to his mattress, staring up at the moonlit ceiling. His chest felt weighed down by some unseen force, each breath caught short and stolen from his lungs. When he finally gained control of his limbs, he began to cry. His grandmother was the one who came.
She took him off to the bathroom, hushing him tiredly. Once they had made it down the hall and into the cramped restroom, she flicked on the light and began wetting a washcloth. That was when Marcel caught sight of his face in the mirror. His eyes.
They had flushed a violent shade of purple, pupils dilated despite the light. It had shocked him out of his fear, and as he brought up a hand to feel the soft skin below his eye, his natural color began bleeding back in. There was no explanation for it, aside from perhaps his own wild imagination. By the time his grandmother had begun gently patting his face with a cold washcloth, mumbling about the hour and his childish fears, his eyes were back to normal.
This was the first time Marcel had truly seen the depth of his innate quirk, but it was not the last.
When his father returned home, he was the first to understand. In Marcel’s anger at the revelation of his father’s absence, he had stormed off to his room. When he returned, his father had looked at him as though he were a stranger. Then, he had come close to the boy, pulled down at his cheek, and examined Marcel’s eye. It had turned dark red. All of it.
Klara began shouting her defense. It was the first time Marcel had ever heard of his infancy. She spoke of pink skin and yellow hair, oddities she had shielded from both her parents and Marcel’s father. Marcel was not quite human, not in the way he ought to be, and Klara had known. All those years, she had known.

Based in Veliky Novgorod, the Voronov family has maintained its status and its pure bloodline for eight centuries. Ilya Konstantinovich Voronov is the fourthborn of the current patriarch. In a family of this size, parental attention is a finite resource that has never once been distributed evenly in the history of human parenting; our unfortunate boy Ilya had not only lost the birth-order lottery, but had done so while being unremarkably average. He had none of his eldest brother's authority, none of his second sister's charisma, and none of his third brother's raw talent; whatever remained of his parents' regard had also been thoroughly absorbed by his youngest brother, who was coddled by every member of the household down to the house-elves.
For all practical purposes, Ilya was the superfluous one. Лишний человек.
Nobody could legally sue the Voronovs for child neglect, as Ilya had been very well taken care of materially — he had a massive bedroom, private tutors, and a butler who would procure him anything if Ilya harassed him enough times. But he had grown up entirely within this world and had no frame of reference outside of it, so the idea that he was privileged never quite registered. What he did notice eventually was whether he registered at all... the answer was mostly "no".
If he threw a tantrum for attention, it was ignored; if he stayed quiet, it was a relief to a busy household. Any practical need or inconvenience was so efficiently absorbed by the servants that it never needed to travel up to his parents’ ears. Even at the family dinner table when the children were expected to recount the day's accomplishments, his contributions never measured up to those of his siblings, thus earning him no praise. Ilya quickly realized that competing with his siblings for attention was simply pointless, so he gave up and withdrew into the background, ending in a state of learned helplessness, asking for nothing and offering nothing.
As for Koldovstoretz over Durmstrang... his older siblings all went to the latter so he'd rather not.

At nine years old, Ilya's first instance of accidental magic went entirely unnoticed. He had been sitting alone in an unused room feeling uncomfortably warm when a rusted window, stuck for years, simply slid open. When he mentioned it to his parents, they agreed it was likely magic and quickly changed the subject. Ilya went back to the room, and the window stayed open.

Zhang Kaiming was born to Zhuo Xin Kē and Zhang Jiā ān on a rather pleasant evening of
30 January 2015, at 9:12 pm.
His parents came from vastly different backgrounds. His mother was a muggle, while his father belongs
to the Zhang family, a prestigious pure-blood wizarding lineage based in Europe. Jiā ān spent his childhood in the grand Zhang mansion and later attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where he was sorted into Gryffindor, following a long-standing family tradition.
A fortunate business trip in China made him cross paths with Xin Kē, whom he fell in love with immediately. Though she did not return his feelings at first, Jiā ān pursued her tirelessly until she eventually confessed that she too was in love.
Marriage was not delayed, and 2 years later they were blessed by a healthy baby boy.
From a very young age, Kaiming showed an unusual fascination with computers and technology,
perhaps inheriting from his mother, who works as an R&D engineer at Huawei. However, this was something that displeased his paternal grandparents. Concerned that their grandson was neglecting his magical heritage, they proposed taking him to England so he could become more immersed in the wizarding world.
Before his parents could consider the proposal, Kaiming erupted into a tantrum upon hearing it. His refusal was so fierce and unwavering that the plan had to be abandoned. It became clear he had no intention of leaving China behind.
The half-blood thus grew up attending an international school, becoming fluent in Mandarin and reasonably proficient in English. While he remained far more interested in the Muggle world than
magic, he loved hearing bits and pieces of the wizarding world from his father, who often spoke fondly
of his adventures at Hogwarts.

A 5-year-old Kaiming, on a visit to his maternal grandparents, finds a relatively taller tree that bore colourful fruits. Several attempts are thus made to climb the tree, all fruitless. His small, chubby hands were unable to grip the bark of the tree properly. Mysteriously the tree toppled over on its own, and a young Kaiming ran around it to collect its fruits. His parents would later find him, all covered in dirt and his small arms filled with fruits. The boy would then point out the tree innocently, insisting the 'tree lay down on its own, for it was tired'. His father would then suspect his son's accidental magic had made its first appearance, and his mother would hug him, grateful that he was safe.

- Looking good! Please just remove the transparent coloured text from your trunk
- Also to clarify, as graduation is happening at the end of June and your character's birthday is in January 2015, this would put him in the NEXT group of first years. He will not be validated as a first year and then graduate into a second year. If that's ok with you, don't worry about editing his birthday or anything, just making sure.
EDITS: required edits done, Amethyst

2) I also intend to make Kaiming a first year in the session of 2026-27, so I am fine with it!

The main reason why they lived like muggles aside from it being safe was because they found the muggle lifestyle to be interesting and wanted to study it by living it.
Not much longer after he was born his parents had met his neighbors parents and their little baby who would be his friend throughout his childhood. Growing up Luka was quite a normal child by wizard standards he played with toys and did normal kid stuff however by muggle standards he was a little bit odd especially when he was very happy about something as his muggle friend's parents just couldn't seem to figure out what it was about Luka that made him different though it may have been his vitiligo. Luka's friend didn't really care that Luka seemed abit different. Luka's parents knew that their dear little boy didn't realize that he or they were any different from muggles. Luka enjoyed spending time with his parents and listening to them read about anything from muggle animals to wizard history. Of course Luka and his family had their routines in their muggle apartment, Luka was very familiar with their routines and he was content with them as they went something like; get up, get dressed, have breakfast, brush teeth and then help his mom around the house while his dad was off at work and of course there was more to their routines but it was all rather mundane. First Magic: He sneezed and bubbles appeared some time after his third birthday. They scared him at first but he in the end found them funny.

When he was 7 he and his friend along with both of their dads went camping one weekend in fall without realizing that the beautiful full moon that night would be the cause of some pain and nightmares. They had hiked a good long while and even went fishing at some point before finding the perfect spot for setting up their tents. The perfect spot of course was in a nice clearing surrounded by woods. So they sat up the tents all together. Luka and his dad went to collect wood for the camp fire so they could have toasted marshmallows. It started to get dark as they were gathering wood and as his dad and he were just starting to go back after having gone far into the woods Luka had heard some noise following them and would look at his dad to see if he knew what the sound was as he just knew deep down that his dad had heard it too. So they had froze to make sure it was wasn't anything dangerous but that was when a werewolf had darted out and tackled Luka biting him deeply on his left shoulder and his dad having been an excellent wandless spell caster quickly casted "Stupefy" but not before the Werewolf had scratched his face trying to hold him down. Luka had frozen completely he didn't even make a peep when he was bitten. Thanks to his dad's quick wit the werewolf was quickly knocked out and his dad had casted some quick healing spells on the minor scrapes and made use of what dittany and powdered sliver he had leaving only small scars considering how deep they were. Luka's dad stood him up and wrapped his coat around Luka and then picked him up and explained that everything will be fine and that what just happened wasn't any fault of Luka's. His dad would pick up some of the wood and walk with him in his arms back to the campsite with the excuse that Luka had gotten frightened by the dark. At this time Luka's dad was happy that Lidiya had insisted that he took a medical kit in case anything happened and they weren't able to immediately apparate to the wizard's hospital when they had muggles waiting and his dad needed to make sure that they were kept safe for the night. Luka had eventually calmed down and as it was dark no one but he and his dad knew about the incident or knew about the scars. Luka wouldn't sleep well through the night and the next morning they would all head back to the apartment complex that they lived in and even then his scars were just barely visible being mixed with his vitiligo. When he got home the first thing he did was run to his mama and cried and she picked him up and asked what was wrong and all he could do for himself was blubber leaving her to look at his dad with the "what happened" look and his dad explained what had happened.

Edits made!STATUS: Pending -- Aulis, 22/07/2026
Reason for pending:
- Purebloods have no contact with Muggles prior to attending school. The whole point of a pureblood is that they are culturally different and far from Muggles. This means that Luka cannot have lived in Muggle apartments, had Muggle neighbours, or known Muggles even if his parents were "interested" in them. Please remove this or change your blood status to half-blood, giving Luka a reason to have been embroiled in the Muggle world. (This also means you'll need to remove mentions of Luka's friend being a Muggle in the werewolf part.)
- Multiple instances of magic; we only ask for a first instance of magic and ask that you do not state that you "occasionally made toys levitate" or other reoccurring magic instances. Remove everything but the very first one.
- Speaking of, first instance age is way too young. Must be between the ages of 3-10, not 3 months.
- Vertiligo is not a condition; do you mean vitiligo?
- Werewolf wounds must be treated with dittany and silver, not with healing spells.
- Nightroot Elixir was not invented until 2026, so if Luka was bitten when he was 7, it wouldn't have even existed yet. Please edit your werewolf application accordingly.
- Not really an edit, but please note that we can't force-sort Luka into Slytherin or any House. He will go through the Sorting Ceremony like any other new user before being changed to a Koldovstoretz student. Whatever House he ends up in after that will be the one that he becomes at Hogwarts if you ever decide to swap PC/iNPC.
I hope it makes more sense now! I also understand the sorting now thanks for your time. Please forgive me for the replacing of things as I had some issues on my end.
I've done everything I've needed to I hope! I do hope my edits fix what needed to be fixed as some of it I had completely overlooked. I want to thank you and everyone who has reviewed my application for your time.PENDING - 1/8 July , Sako
(i) Currently missing these information in your application:Code: Select all
Is your character a Quidditch player/Broom racer/Duelist? Yes/No. Which sport if yes? Stats:
Please add this somewhere with the app and ensure they align with what what stated in the ency
(ii) Please change the blood status in your ency to halfblood- as it currently states pureblood. The history is acceptable only when their blood status is halfblood.
(iii) speaking of halfblood- please clarify what bloodstatus their parents are as halfbloods require more clear blood status of both parents.
(iv) your history in the ency still states Vertiligo instead of Vitiligo, please edit so that both applications and ency have the same information like what you did for the werewolf application.
(v) glad you understood you cannot be force sorted into a house, could you please go ahead and remove the note in this application that states about being force sorted to avoid future confusion, thank you

Raphael Samuel Jourdain was born on 24th October 2013 to Lucien and Emma Jourdain. He was their second child and first son. Lucien Jourdain is a lawyer. He had studied at Beauxbatons before going to England where he met Emma. He's a rather good lawyer and specializes in cases relating to half-breeds. Emma Jourdain on the other hand is a herbologist. Their garden at home was filled with numerous different plants and on the weekends, Emma would go to a local market to sell them
Raphael was born extremely pale to the point where the doctors were worried about his health. After months of constant monitoring and medication in the hospital it was discovered that he was a Dhampir. His father was overjoyed at the news and threw a banquet to celebrate it a few days after.
When Raphael was around a year old, his parents noticed that he would not look in their direction when they spoke. While it was common for babies to do this occasionally, unless they were right in front of his face he wouldn't look at them. Concerned, he was once again taken to another doctor.
The doctor ran a multitude of tests on the 1 year old child and they found that Raphael was deaf. They concluded there may have been complications during the pregnancy or it was a genetic mutation that caused it since there was no history of deaf people in their family.
His parents tried everything but there was nothing they could do short of a surgery which he was much too young for. They had to learn to adapt.
Since Raphael was born deaf, he struggled to communicate. His vocabulary when it came to speaking was extremely limited, some of the few words he could speak being along the lines of mama and papa since those were simple sounds.
When he turned 6 his parents got a sign language tutor. His tutor taught him how to communicate through sign language and he was happy. Happy he could finally get his thoughts out. Happy he could finally talk to other people. That happiness was short lived as he soon learnt that not everyone could understand the language or sign back to him. He hated it. He began to grow distant towards others. Cause to him, what was the point of making friendships if no one could understand him.
Family ties: The only people he truly stayed close to was his family. His parents learnt sign language so they could communicate with him while they ensured his siblings also learnt. Along with his siblings were also his cousins. Well the ones he was on good terms with anyways. He was closest to his cousin Fawkes. They were the same age and practically grew up as twins more than cousins. She seemed to be able to understand him more than the others. She was also the first of his cousins to learn sign language with him.
Raphael instead of making friends with humans turned his attention to animals instead. He couldn't go out during the day without multiple layers on so instead he would spend his nights outdoors with the nocturnal animals. The owls were his favourites. They would fly near him and even let him hold them. With the animals he felt understood. He didn't need to hear them to understand them. He felt right at home with them.
When Raphael was 7, his father had to be transferred over to China for work. His family moved over to Beijing and stayed there for a couple of years. It was during this time, Raphael experienced his first instance of magic.
Another skill he had picked up was lip reading. He wasn't the best at it and he couldn't understand if someone was speaking incredibly fast however whatever little he could understand allowed him to have some conversation with people who didn't know sign. He couldn't respond using his voice most of the time but it was still better than not responding at all.
Despite all of his struggles he was still a bright child. He learned how to read and write in both French and English even if he couldn't speak them. He also learned about the various plants and herbs there were from his mother. He was able to distinguish them from one another without much difficulty.
He was taken for balls with his parents a couple of times. Even though he didn't interact with people he was considered incredibly beautiful. His uncaring demeanour also made him more intriguing and mysterious. Many girls would constantly come up to him asking for dances. He couldn't hear them but he understood what was happening. He rejected all of them instead opting to drag his elder sister to dance with him to make them jealous.
Raphael didn't like people but he was still a kind soul. Just to animals. His parents hoped that going to school would help him open up more.
After he started his first year in Koldov, his parents decided to move back to France. However, Raphael preferred to stay in China. The amount of medicinal herbs he could learn about was extraordinary and that curiosity made him have the decision to remain in Beijing with his aunt Phoebe and his uncle Theodore. Not to mention, the fact Koldov was in Russia opened up even more worlds of opportunity to study more herbs.
He spends his summer vacations in France with the rest of his family but is otherwise in Beijing for the remainder of the year when he's not in Koldov.

How they are related: Raphael's mother Emma is the sister of Fawkes' father Evan.

Raphael was around 7 when he experienced his first instance of magic. His mother had brought some dried up herbs from the garden into the house. Raphael being curious as to what it was, picked it up thinking they were flowers. He frowned. These were not the vibrant flowers that were in the garden. Saddened he was about to drop them when they began to turn into small flowers in his hand. Excitedly he showed his mother who also got excited realising his magic was making itself known. She picked up the flowers and put them down before going to give Raphael a hug. A few seconds later the flowers had returned to the original dried herbs. Raphael touched it again hoping it would become flowers again but it didn't.

Raphael always knew about his Dhampir heritage. It wasn't ever a grand secret that had to be kept hidden from him. His father was very open about the fact he himself was a dhampir so Raphael never made an effort to hide it himself except from people outside his family. In fact when his parents realised he was a Dhampir his father was so proud that he hosted a banquet for him.
It all started with Raphael's paternal grandmother Lucie. The french woman was one of the most beautiful women of her time well according to his grandfather Henry she was. That beauty is what had captivated him in the first place. The pureblood heir fell in love with the vampire and the two married barely a year later despite the fact he was arranged to marry another very wealthy pureblood woman and his family protested his marriage to Lucie heavily. He claimed that he was madly in love and nothing could stop him. They got into a heated argument over it since his family only cared about the wealth. It was resolved when Lucie revealed the fact she had generational wealth as well. Upon hearing about it his family let him marry her.
Henry did not know about Lucie being a vampire until they had their first and only child Lucien. After years of not being able to conceive, Lucien was quite literally their miracle. As Lucien grew up, Henry began to notice the little things in Lucien and now especially Lucie which he hadn't seen before. He saw how Lucie couldn't bear going out in the sun while Lucien would get extremely bad rashes if he did. At first he thought it was because of the fact they were naturally incredibly pale so they got sun burnt easily. But after Lucien lost his first tooth did Henry learn about the fact Lucie was a vampire and by proxy his one and only son was a dhampir. He was devastated. Not by the fact they weren't human but because he had been lied to. Unable to bare living with them any longer, he ran away and no one was able to find him.
That left Lucie alone to raise Lucien. He was accepted into Beauxbatons but had to hide his vampiric features. He eventually graduated and went to England to study to become lawyer. It is there he met Emma. The two eventually fell in love and got married where they had four children. Charmeine, Raphael, Gabriel and Hecate. Lucien, not wanting to make the same mistake as his mother, told Emma about his dhampir heritage before they got married. Luckily she accepted him. Her family wasn't so accepting however. Some of them did while some shunned him for it. However he didn't care. So long as his Emma accepted him.
Raphael was born incredibly pale. Much paler than his father or older sister. The doctors were concerned about his health. However after a few months of tests and monitoring they found out he was a dhampir. His father, overjoyed threw a banquet for him even though he was still an infant. Raphael's blood cravings were less than his sister's so he was usually fine with only one blood pop compared to his sister's 3. However he had much sharper teeth and accidently broke things around the house when he tried biting them for fun. He was much more sensitive to the sun not only from his dhampir lineage but also since he was a lot paler so he was sun burnt much much more often. He completely avoided going out during the day after a really bad burn when he was 8 unless he absolutely had to.
He overheard his parents being worried about his education since Koldovstoretz didn't allow dhampirs and hiding his features would be extremely hard since some of them were much more prominent than other dhampirs. However luckily for them, about a year before he was to start, Koldovstoretz stated that they would now admit dhampirs and other magical races as well. With that Raphael started his school year.

Reasons for pending:
- You state that Raphael's tutor taught him basic spell incantations. This is not feasible considering that children are not allowed to learn spells before starting school. The tutor can have taught him words, but not spells/incantations, and Raphael cannot have known or practiced them yet; please remove this from your biography. (I will work with you to figure out how he learns spells once he gets to Koldov.)
- This also applies to him learning how to make basic pastes. You can learn Muggle-esque healing techniques, but not magic ones, so please remove this from your biography as well.
- You also state his accidental magic showed "numerous times"; please remove this, as we only permit one instance of accidental magic prior to starting school.

History:
Moon was born is a small but busy city in China, Hong Kong. Her mother was from China mainland and her father was a muggle from Hong Kong. They met in the airport from Russia to Shanghai 27 years before Moon was born, Moon' mother was going back home from Koldovstoretz and her father was going places to places for photo shoots. They didnt know each other back then but they had a great chat on th flight. Surprisingly, they met again 10 years later. Soon they got married and had Moon. The family of three lived in a small apartment for a few years until Moon grew older and the apartment got too crammed.
Moon and her parents moved to China mainland when she was 2 because the apartments were cheaper and bigger. Moon loved going to the mall near there because there's a playhouse there. Her parents even bought yearly tickets to the playhouse.
A few years later, Moon was 6 and had to go to elementary school. Her father had to work 9-5 everyday so her mom had to bring her to school. She always carried Moon while Moon slept on her shoulder. Once, there was a heavy rain which caused Moon to be late to school. Her mother decided to move back to Hong Kong since her school was there. Her father disagreed and they had a huge fight for 2 weeks. They end up having a divorce and Moon followed her mom and lived in Hong Kong.
In school, Moon was always the favorite student of the teachers. She had good grades and was rarely late to school. She is always willing to help the others. During her first 3 years of elementary school, there was covid 19. They had to take online classes. Students fall asleep during class, some secretly scroll on their phone. But Moon was a good student, plus the fact that she has a strict mom. Her mother taught her the times table when she was 4 and made her learn English online when she was 6.
Now she is 11, she is still the "perfect student" and had a strict mother. She visits her father once a month until her father suddenly decides to block her mother on every social media. Moon guesses that he had a new wife and kids.
First Magic:
Moon's first instinct of magic is pretty unnoticeable. When she was 6, during her parents 2 weeks of fighting, she was terrified of being abandoned. The furniture in the living room shook a little. Guess her parents were too busy fighting to realise.

First Magic: Kanat Dmitriyev Riga (or just "Riga") was born to a Kazakh Muggle-born witch and Russian magl on April 30, 2015, the second of their three children. His mother, Tazagul Riga, was Kazakh born and raised on a small farm in Ryazanovka, a descendant of the Kipchak people; she was invited to attend Koldovstoretz when she turned 11 in the summer of 1997. There, Tazagul was a member of Group 6, a Potions whiz and a prolific scorer as a Chaser on the school's Quidditch team. Her red hair and stunning bone structure made her somewhat of a heartbreaker, but it was not until she graduated in 2004, landed a job at the Ministry in Rasgorod, and began briefly living in Russia that she found the man of her dreams. Dmitriy Riga was a non-magical farmer living in the area, only three years Tazagul's senior, and Tazagul's job as a member of the Department of Magly Relations meant that she often spent her days convincing the local magly that there was nothing untoward in the area. Unfortunately, Dmitriy ended up being someone she just couldn't lie to.
He took it like a champ when Tazagul explained her magical capabilities to him, and the two were married a few years later, in the winter of 2009. Though the Rigas wanted to start a family right away, their plans were dashed at the sudden passing of Tazagul's father, Oljas, in early 2010. Since he had run the farm upon which Tazagul had grown up, and her mother, Anelya, was in no shape to upkeep the fields herself, Tazagul and Dmitriy moved back to Ryazanovka and spent a year or so making the place their own. When they had nearly finished - with some well-placed help from Tazagul's wand - they discovered that she was pregnant with their first child, a boy born in the winter of 2011 and who they named Serkesh. Several years later, Kanat came along as their second son, and he was followed quickly by their youngest child and only daughter, Rayana.
With three children and only one magical relative in known history, Tazagul and Dmitriy were unsure as to if any of their babies would grow up to lead magical lives. As such, Kanat Riga grew up a farm boy in rural Kazakhstan, with an understanding that his mother was different and a knowledge that he might not be. Raised by his father's steady and patient hand, and his mother's big dreams and strong ambition, Kanat was always the quietest of the three Riga siblings, having a fondness for nature, plants, and animals above all else. He was homeschooled along with Rayana and Serkesh, learning the essentials of reading, writing, mathematics, history, and science, as well as a basic understanding of the magical world in case he were to later be discovered a wizard.
The trio of siblings occasionally went on one-on-one trips with their mother to work in Rasgorod, and it was there that they learned of all the wonderful things that could await them if they gained their mother's powers: potions and spells and flight, oh my. Serkesh was the eldest and the most excited about this, followed by the enthusiastic Rayana, but Kanat was content simply to exist in his everyday life: schooling with his brother and sister, then working in the fields or tending the gardens with his father, and perhaps a magical puppet show or story to end the night with his mother when she returned from work. He never wanted to be anything more.
Unfortunately, life had other plans for him. His first instance of magic came about at the age of six, which caused Serkesh to begin harbouring a deep jealousy and hatred for his younger brother. Kanat became bullied relentlessly by the boy who had been his best friend for the first part of his life, which stemmed into a dislike of his own name following Serkesh's relentless teasing; "Kanat" sounded like the English word "cannot", which led to lots of "Kanat-read" and "Kanat-write". So studies had never been the young boy's best ability; so what? But what had started out as jealous teasing quickly became all-out warfare between the two brothers after Kanat, who had started thinking of himself as Riga instead, was attacked and turned into a werewolf just before his tenth birthday.
Suddenly, the bullying became much more severe; calls of "monster" began to echo through the farmhouse as his teenage brother, clearly a Squib at this age, grew even angrier and more jealous. Seeing the festering tensions between their two boys, Tazagul and Dmitriy attempted to save the brothers' relationship; Tazagul's deft hand at potion-brewing made it easy to calm the young werewolf during the full moon, though Riga did hate to choke down the disgusting Wolfsbane every month, which made it easy for him to stay at home. When he was invited to attend Koldovstoretz shortly after his eleventh birthday, that was the last straw, and Serkesh stopped speaking to his younger brother entirely. Though Riga had no desire to attend a wizarding school and would have much rathered staying home and continuing to work on the farm, his parents made the difficult decision to send Riga away to Koldovstoretz so that he could learn to appreciate the gift he had been given and also to put some space between the brothers in the hopes that such distance might begin to repair their relationship.

Is your character a Quidditch player/Broom Racer/Duellist? Yes, a Beater. Please add him to the Quidditch team.Riga was only five years old, and his brother had just turned nine, in the deep winter of 2020. Serkesh was always the more boisterous of the pair, with less regard for nature and for animals, and he stomped ahead as the two explored the woods that surrounded the back area of their farmhouse on a freezing December morning, sending everything in a mile's radius fluttering or scampering away. Riga followed obediently and quietly, his dark eyes scanning for any sign of animals; he had always had a fondness for the snow-white rabbits and feathered ducks that roamed the area, and by this time most of them had recognised that the smaller boy was friendly and would even sometimes bring food (dried peas, fresh carrot tops, and the like). Serkesh's loud stomping and boasty chattering, however, was severely dampening Riga's ability to befriend the local wild fauna.
A movement in a small nearby clearing caught the younger brother's eye - it was one of those aforementioned rabbits, a small one, probably a youth. Riga's heart ached for it, all alone out here in the snow, and he moved towards it as silently and gently as he could, attempting to draw near without alerting his brother as to its presence. Serkesh was one of those people who was just as likely to suggest catching it and taking it home for supper as letting it go free. He was just inches away, slowly kneeling and reaching out a soft hand, when behind him came a loud voice: "Good job, Kanat, you found foo-" And then, just as energetically as Serkesh had begun speaking, he silenced, just in time for Riga to reach out and stroke the top of the bunny's head with an extraordinarily gentle two fingers.
It allowed him to pet it for a moment before turning tail and bolting into the nearby bush, dislodging a torrential downpour of snow onto the ground. Riga turned to thank his brother for having grown quiet to let him befriend the creature, only to find a horrified Serkesh staring at him with eyes the size of dinner-plates, his mouth moving yet no sound coming out. It took a moment for either of them to realise what had just occurred, and before Riga could so much as say anything, Serkesh turned and bolted much like the rabbit had moments before, sprinting at full speed back in the direction of the farmhouse; the younger brother followed his elder, but he was much shorter and with much slower little legs, and so there was no way he could catch up. Instead, he could only hear his brother's voice fading back in from the temporary accidental magic: "Mama... Maaamaaaaa!"

If special race/ability, how did they join the school? Riga was accepted normally as a first-year in the fall of 2026.
Over the last four years, Riga had grown used to being alone. Never a particularly social creature to begin with, he had lost his greatest friend in his elder brother since his first accidental use of magic had outed him as carrying their mother's magical talent - something Serkesh greatly coveted and Riga definitely did not want. Still, Riga had grown more withdrawn, even from his doting parents and excitable younger sister; no matter how much his enthusiastic magical mother tried to convince him to go on more trips to Rasgorod with her, to see the world that would be his future, Riga's best escape would always be the wilderness.
It had been a hard day, though the weather was beautiful; winter was beginning to fade, and the brightness of spring was on its way, bringing with it the promise of Riga's upcoming tenth birthday. Having found solace in solitude, the young boy finished his schoolwork as fast as possible after dinner, enduring plenty of whispered taunts in his ear about his terrible penmanship and slow reading and inability to pick up English, and received permission from his father to go check the traps in the woods. Normally, Riga hated checking the traps, especially at night - he had never been a fan of the dark - but he was armed with a torch, and none of the bigger predators who might have been lurking in the area would dare come near. Plus, he was in desperate need of some fresh air and therapy in the form of releasing whatever poor, small animal had found themselves caught in his brother's cruel search for the next morning's breakfast.
The first trap right behind the house, mercifully, was empty. The second was, too. At the third trap, a bit deeper into the wilds, Riga found a tiny bird with one of its legs caught; it was not too badly injured, though, and he was quickly able to free the little creature, which squawked gratefully up at him before flapping off into the shadowy branches. Traps number four and five were devoid of any animals as well, but it was on trap six that he discovered a gruesome scene: the trap triggered, but no prey remaining within. Only a thick smear of blood on the wet ground nearby, visible only just above the melting snow.
Riga felt sick to his stomach. Serkesh's traps had caught something, all right, but a predator had gotten to it before he had been able to free it.
If his stomach was tied in knots after the sixth trap, the seventh made it begin turning cartwheels. This trap had also been triggered, it was clear, but had been torn apart; rope and small parts littered the clearing, as if whatever had been caught had flown into a rage in order to free itself. None of the cuddly prey animals Riga so loved would have been able to do such a thing, and it was suddenly obvious to the nine-year-old that he was not alone in the woods. As if agreeing with him, the torch in his hand sputtered, sending shadows dancing in the thick trees surrounding him. Were they grey wolves, which tended to avoid the family farm after an incident with the chickens and Tazagul's powerful spellcasting a few years prior? Or particularly strong red foxes? A lynx or polecat?
Whatever it was, the young boy was too scared to risk checking the remaining three traps. Armed with the knowledge that he had at least saved one poor bird, Riga turned to return home, only to hear a rustle behind him in the bushes.
He whirled, immediately, his teeth chattering, perhaps from fear and perhaps from the cold. "Wh- wh- who's there?"
The low, throaty growl that rumbled deep in its chest was his only indication, but it was enough of a warning. Riga dropped the torch, his entire body sparking with fright, and he turned to run, sprinting only two steps in the direction of the farmhouse before he was caught. The pain bloomed almost instantaneously, first in his leg and then his chest and shoulder, as gleaming white teeth and sharp dark claws tore through delicate flesh like he was naught but a rag doll. A tinny, loud sound wailed both nearby and very far away as Riga writhed, trying fruitlessly to ward off his attacker, and only after the wolf had turned and left - leaving a mangled body drowning in the snow, scarlet blossoming around his limp form - did the young boy realise that the sound had been him screaming.
He continued to scream until Rayana found him, sent out by their parents to bring him back in after what they had assumed was an abnormally long walk in the woods, like he usually enjoyed. His wounds were treated and would close into scars, but without a cure, the lycanthropy would remain. Certainly, though, the young Riga would never take a walk alone in this section of the local wilderness ever again - at least, not during a full moon.
Now, slashing, puckered scars mar the left side of his chest and shoulder, extending about halfway down his bicep; his legs also bear the distinct impressions of cutting teeth, though he is easily able to cover all of these with his usual Koldovstoretz uniform.
