first day frustrations

Bella had only been studying for about thirty minutes in the quiet when Xio got up and pulled them up and out of the library. Her friend was carrying many, many origami "flowers" that she insisted on making. Bella helped to make a couple, but most of them were completely Xio's work.
Xio gave twenty flowers to her, and another twenty to Kip, before she strolled out. Tilting her head, Bella laughed.
"Ah...classic Xio. Okay, okay, got what you meant!"
Bella supposed she can study another day. It was only the first few days of school after all! Time to have some fun, right?
Bella, with a glance over her shoulder to check on Kip, followed Xio out, shaking her head.
"Uhh...Xio?" Bella asked, looking around. Xio was throwing flowers into the air, shouting out how everybody got a flower. She supposed that her friend was trying to share the cheer, the delight of Hogwarts.
Bella tucked a flower in her hair before reaching over and tucking one in Xio's. She turned around, hesitating, before tucking one in Kip's, too.
"Since I'm really not sure what to do with these," she whispered to Kip, chuckling, before turning to Xio.
"These flowers...umm...where did the paper come from?" Bella questioned before throwing two in the air, letting it rain around them and their startled classmates. "Also, these flowers really do spread the cheer! I love them!"
