"Thanks Professors Browne and Dunaid." Sylvain said with curt nod of respect. He was thankful for them to be cooking jerked chicken kabobs, one of his favorite foods.
Walking over to the vegetable table for refreshment while waiting, Sylvain picked a cup of lemonade. As usual he wanted something sweet and sour to help quench the thirst he'd gained while walking around in the sun. As he began munching on some broccoli and a baby tomato, Sylvain spotted San and Alan standing by the buffet. His shades would protect him from the afternoon sunlight as he made his way over to them, while his cool blue floral patterned shirt would help keep him dry amidst the heat and sweat of summer.
Waving as a greeting, Sylvain let out an exuberant, but gentle "Happy Summer Alan!" and to San he said "You look great, I love the necklace!" He smiled a toothier grin than his usual lip lifter. His tent really was a fantastic fit for him so far, and he was already feeling excited to get back to it. Although he had come to the BBQ in hopes that he could sit with Dee and Ileen to talk about the rest of summer camp, the joy of having a tent to retreat to if he was overwhelmed filled him with a certain glee.
Seeing the camera in her hands, Sylvain decided to ask San for a picture. "Mind if I get a picture San?" He did his best to look cool, but he was definitely still a nerd. "I'm waiting for Aida, Dealla and Ileen. Mind if I hang out with you two until they get here?" His plan wasn't to intrude, but rather he wanted to be near people he had at least met before.
He saw Lizzie from across the tables and waved towards her calmly. Maybe she saw him, maybe she didn't.

RP as NPC Gregorí Erkens
Gregorí just smiled upon hearing Drew's sarcastic remark. He understood that the blond was just teasing him the way he very often did. However, the Mexican decided to play along and he pretended to be annoyed. "Of course I do, man!" he playfully swat Andrew on the back. "I listen to whatever you tell me. Not like you, who pretend to listen to people and then immediately forget their words!" Gregorí laughed, just to make sure that Drew would know he was only joking.
And then, that close friend of his asked his opinion about the United Kingdom. How should Gregorí answer it, though? He had never been anywhere except the airport and this Quidditch stadium to attend the welcome barbecue party.
The Mexican boy shrugged. "I really can't say," he admitted. "This is my first time to visit this country, and you know our group hasn't really visited any place except this stadium. Do you know where else the professors will take us to tomorrow, or any other day during our visit?" In addition, he asked the question back to Drew. "What about you? Have you ever been to this country before? And how do you like it?"

As she brought the camera to her face to start taking pictures again, it didn’t surprise her that it found one of its favorite subjects. As she rotated the lens just slightly for focus, Reaper in casual attire was suddenly there. Going over and saying hello was tempting, but social etiquette dictated that she stay where she was. A few photos were taken of many different people as Alan asked her if she had signed up for any of the camp activities. Looking over at him, she thought for a moment. “None of the active ones. I’m not in the Capture the base or chess game. I might go to spectate, but I don’t plan on playing in them. How about you?”Interacting| @Alan Vanes | @Sylvain Indarys

Just as she lifted the camera to her face again, Sylvain greeted them and complimented her outfit. It was appreciated she thought this outfit was actually quite cute considering most people here saw in her in t-shirts, jeans, or school robes. As he hammed it up for his photo, she took it before wrapping its red band around her wrist and holding it in her left hand resting on top of her bag. “Thank you, Syl!” She smiled at his compliment while he mentioned waiting for some people, only one of the names she vaguely knew as someone from her house.
“No, no, I don’t mind at all. We were just talking about if we were signed up for any of the activities this summer. I’m not participating in any of the active ones, but I will probably be there for photos.” She gave him the too long didn’t read version of what she and Alan had just talked about. Santario adjusted her stance so that they stood more in a triangle formation, allowing for a better flow of conversation.

I'm going to be honest, Selene was not- and will never be a morning bird. Never, that's just crossing the line. If somehow you find her waking up before nine in the morning, especially during summer. Either she's been used or possessed, both are the same. Summer was supposed to be fun for Selene, she's supposed to watch The World Of Gumball while eating Cocoa Crunch and having her morning milk-tea, ones that are not too sweet. Then she'll relax in her own-personalized bathtub, at least the good thing about her tent is that it has its own bathroom, it's the Ackermanns after all, what do you expect? Selene had to order and arrange the whole tent so it could fit her other tentmates. Either way, she was wearing very appropriate clothing for a twelve years old. While wearing some Prada summer-collection bag to match her look, hey, she was going to work as a part-time model anyways-getting used to the lifestyle and tight routine will be hard considering she attends the school itself. Selene sighed and rolled her eyes. God, summer might be a pain in the arse sometimes but you can't deny the fashion of it. This is the only time of the year she could wear swimsuits and no one would complain, as well as tending and gardening new kinds of flowers..unfortunately, this time, she was on her own. Her father? Why would he care over flowers? He already wilts not only one, but two inside the family. Her Aunt wasn't the type to tend the garden, rather she'd make the flowers worst, doesn't mean Selene cared for her any less. She groaned silently, every time she thinks about her father, it was either going to be a day that gives her a headache or an unremovable annoyance. Especially today, there was a barbeque event. Look, Selene may have a big appetite but if it's something that's similar to a hot-pot, she'll definitely yeet herself out. It was something that's known obviously. The only reason she was going to the barbeques was to ask Ironwoods regarding their family business and the annual family summer event-if it even happens this month, which, Selene slightly doubts due to how much the business has been going way busier than last July. Oh yes, let's not forget, the fourth of July-the birth of America land of The Freedom. Since her dad agreed to this whole summer- school event, she wouldn't be able to join her dad on congratulating the caretaker of the family's business in America.Mentioning : @Eyre Reeves @Lizzie Verdine
Selene stretched her body, in feline-like movements doing little jumps before wearing her summer coat and cracking her knuckles. She looked and glanced at her other tentmates, finally searching for the young prodigy of the Ironwoods. The many students that joined were-unexpectedly a lot, some, Selene knew or saw once, let's see and investigate- Lizzie Verdine and other students, such as Rose Moon-the girl who ruined her nightgown, Selene should definitely stay away from the girl..but hey, why not do a little accident? It won't start a little controversy, just 'accidental.' Fixing her kimono-silk robe, tying it tighter in case something happens, she then wore her favorite bunny slippers, she can't-it's just torture to not spend a night without them.
Reducio

Of course, they're not the only ones and are definitely limited edition. It just adds to the girl's charisma as well as beauty brewed with cuteness, ah, how she loves potions but also despise knowing she can rule the world with it, with just little doses of potions-she had the money all she needed was the process...and the authority of it as well. She might also just grow a greenhouse for the ingredients to make it easier.
Finally, Selene waltzed towards the crowd, examining the barrelque such a quirky name it had, an idiot would know it's some sort of a pun. Through the crowd, it wasn't hard searching for Ironwoods, especially with that 'Sundays-fishing' dad style of hers, might as well buy some beer or vodka on the way while catching fishes before throwing all of them out again just to catch them all again. Truthfully, Selene will definitely give Cass a makeover-one that works both ways, Selene wouldn't want to be seen with a peasant after all. Finally, she found Cassandra but couldn't help making a small comment once she heard someone calling a person, an angel-if it was directed at her, which, Selene definitely is grateful that it wasn't her-"Ew." She muttered under her breath making a slightly disgusted face as she walks through to stand in front of and find Ironwwods. Of course, grabbing some healthy punch along the way, she was thirsty after all. Her disgusted look faded slowly as she took a huge sip from the drink. "An Angel, can you believe it Ironwoods? No such thing exists in a human form, only masks..although me saying that might be quite the hypocrite." Selene said as a snarky comment, her other hand holding the tasty drink and grasping her robe while eyeing the barrelque. She might just ask for some snacks and fruits to munch on for herself later on in the night. " Also, don't get me wrong even if I mean everything I say except sorry- but you look like a peasant, peasant. Expect a makeover that works both ways."Well, good enough for both of them, Ironwoods was one who knows sarcasm at best-only that now Selene was saying the truth, just in the tone of sarcasm-making it more of a spitfire than she already is.
"Either way, I'm going to go and grab some grasp and more fruits from the barrelque-who knows, maybe one of our filthy rich kids might just want to sneak outside and get the whole tent in trouble." Selene mentioned as she looked at them straight into their eyes before turning around in a slight dramatic flair and finally seeing the one and only, Rose Moon-the nightgown ruiner. She took a sip of her punch while her lips curve into a smirk, as soon as she walks past them-she then 'accidentally' spilled some punch on her clothing, boohoo. She quickly turned into something worst than a straight-up insult, Slytherin knows how to hold grudges after all and they definitely know how to ake one. Selene quietly gasped, "Oh my, I sure hope those won't stain. At least it's not something burning hot this time, Moon." Selene said in whatever manner offended the girl the most, she eyed her other friends with her bright turquoise eyes-hey, she had a reputation for looking like the child version of Megan Fox-Beauty depends on the eyes of the beholder after all. As the sun finally comes down to sleep Selene took a sip of her drink as she continued walking to grab some grapes-she needed something sweet and healthy. Waving her hand at them while walking. "At least yours weren't Desmond and Desment collection, I'm guessing perhaps you don't know what brand you're wearing right now." Selene said she further walks away from them, she just wanted sleep.

"Ahhh, yes. Thank you!" Serena grinned at the adults, as one of them handed back the two plates of cooked patties. She could only hope that it was the right one. Staring down at the plate, she wondered if she ought to put it in a burger but... she had no idea what Howard would have liked. They barely knew each other. They caught pygmy puffs together once, and saw each other a few times around the school and... that was kind of it really? They had never really had a proper chat. But that did not matter. He was her friend, she had decided this.
She sighed softly, thinking about his outburst in the great hall not too many weeks prior. If he had been closer to where she was or if she had not been trying to take in all of the information herself, she would have hugged him. But he left early on and there was nothing she could really do to help. A burger patty did not really change that. Whatever upset him that day was likely still on his mind. But in the past three years at Hogwarts, Serena had learned several valuable lessons.
First she learned how terrible loneliness really felt. You could be in a room, surrounded by people, and still feel lonely. And that feeling was sad, and awful. For years, she felt trapped in the dark void that she had been trapped in during the camp out in her first year. It took a while but she learned her second lesson. She had never been alone. Not really. She had felt it, yes. But around her were people who cared about her. That was the thing about Hufflepuffs. They were never really alone. They were surrounded by love and friendship, if they just let it in. It was likely true of many houses or people but she only knew of the badgers, and how they would do anything to save their friends.
Smiling down to the plate, she nodded to herself. She would cheer him up. No matter how long it took. She would let him know that at least one person cared, that he was not alone. Grabbing the plate, she turned around and started to make her way through the crowd - stopping moments later. Howard was... right there. She blinked a little, expecting him to be a lot further. Last time she saw him, he was not near the grill, "O-oh. Howard! Hey! I- Uh. How are you? Oh! I got thi- This is for you! I think it's the same thing you were eating earlier...? But uh just cooked. I think. It might be good... to yeah... I thought you might like it... If you want it, I mean you don't have to but I- Yeah, it's for you anyway..." She mumbled a little awkwardly, looking down at the floor for a moment, unsure of how to really tell him that she thought eating uncooked meat was probably kind of bad for him, without really mothering him. The more she spoke, the more she realised that maybe she ought to have thought through what she was intending on saying. But the words spewed out of her mouth nonetheless.
Serena could be wrong but it seemed like a bad idea, "I- uh, I don't know if you maybe want to put it in a burger though? I- I was going to do that with mine so... I can... do that if you wanted?" She continued to mumble out, "Well we could go to together too!" She added as an afterthought, realising it was a lot better to just encourage him to pick his own vegetables or burger ingredients. She had no idea what he liked. Eating raw food was something he might have enjoyed...
Glancing back up at him, she spotted the group that he had left. Right. Of course. He was busy. She... did not think this through... "Oh... I uh didn't get anything for your friends... Sorry... I uh... Yeah... Uh... They can have mine?" She added, spotting unfamiliar faces. Awkwardly, she looked at her own plate, which did not really have enough for three people. It was enough for her but she did not really eat a lot. But she could offer it to them and get some more food. Though, she was kind of impressed that he managed to make friends already. They did not look like students from Hogwarts - at least, she did not recognise them. For him to know so many people from the other schools already was pretty impressive. She knew... uh, none. She had literally not met anyone except her tent mates until now... Offering both plates, she stood there kind of awkwardly as she rambled on, just hoping he shut her up soon.
Honestly, she had been so preoccupied worrying about the raw food that he was eating when she first saw him that she did not really look around to see if there was anyone near him. Now that she thought about it, she kind of recalled another figure being near him. But... not three. Well... This was awkward. She cleared her throat, shutting up after her mumbles as she decided it was far better to just be quiet than to continue talking. She must have looked like an idiot or worse, like she was judging him or trying to force him to change his eating ways or be mean.

Aida arrived at the barbecue dressed in a brilliant red blouse paired with some skinny black pants. She felt entirely too visible, but before leaving Hogwarts someone in the dorm had said she should try out some clothing that wasn't just black, white, or a combination of the two. So for the day Aida would be borrowing this extremely bright red albatross. She didn't really like being visible like this since she already stuck out a lot as it was, being an albino and of unusual mannerisms. Aida fidgeted nervously with a pearl necklace that looped thrice around her neck.
Looking around, she was not very interested in the food as usual, but she did spy Sylvain over by the tables and so she walked up to him with a shy smile.
"Syl, how are you?" she asked, pretty clearly in need of a hug. "Who are you tenting with?" she continued innocently. Aida shifted uncomfortably, overly aware of how crowded it was around her, but glad that at least she was outside. She knew she had to eat, but she was really only here because she was hoping to see her friends gathering here. Aida pulled on a strand of her hair, smoothing it out in her palm. Anyone could have seen that she was uncomfortable.

Interacting with @Serena Towers’ iNPC, Arjan Oberoi.Phaedra had yet to have any boyfriend, but that didn’t mean she was totally oblivious. There was something about winking in general that rubbed her the wrong way—perhaps that it looked silly in person—but even more disturbing was that, for the first time in her life, it made her the recipient of such a clear signal of interest. Boys were usually more covert in her presence, but Arjan was terrifyingly bold, especially as the brother of her ex-best friend. It seemed the innocent dynamics from their childhood had now developed into something else entirely and the prefect stood, nails digging into her paper plate, wondering if there were earlier hints she had missed. Suddenly, she felt as if crossing a very inappropriate line, but if she could just play it off...
Just smile and nod. When he smirked in her direction she felt her face heat up, and it took everything that she had not to awkwardly shift her gaze and stare a hole into the beverage fountain further down the table instead. In the most unbothered tone she could muster, she coughed and then said, “Um, thank you. I try. Years of practice.” What a shame she refused to compliment him back. He wasn’t bad looking to her at all.
Phaedra craned her neck to look again at the table, eyeing something she thought he’d like, but she didn’t know him as well as Serena. Probably meat. He seemed like the type. “Well, I haven’t tasted anything yet. I was just on my way to the grill, but you can’t really go wrong with anything here. Do you like kebabs?” She held up her plate to show the two mixed rows of beef and vegetables pierced with a skewer each. “There’s enough for burgers too. Halloumi, even, if you’re not in the mood for actual meat. Ever had it?” Phaedra was familiar with the dish herself, but had other cravings tonight. Plus, she didn’t trust anyone else to prepare it as well as her grandmother and was not looking forward to any more disappointments than necessary.
Rooted to the spot, she continued. “I bet nothing here’s as interesting as what you eat at Durmstrang, though. Hah. I’m curious to hear more about your school, by the way.” This wasn’t solely an attempt at ignoring his flexing and driving the discussion back to comfortable territory; Durmstrang was a renowned magical school and she was genuinely interested in understanding their way of life there. If she couldn’t get the first hand experience by attending herself, word of mouth would have to satiate her curiosities.ReducioOutfit

"Will do." Saskia nodded, setting the plates on an empty spot on the table. On the other side of the table, she placed the extra cups beside the pitchers. With that done, the preparations were set, just in time for more people were probably piling up in the campsite. It was probably for the best that she snuck in those last supplies too, considering how many people were already coming in.
She walked back to where Professor Karr was, but not before spotting one of her teammates waving at her. If her memory served right, it was May, one of the newer additions to the team. After Teiki's departure, she had been recently put in as a replacement. She still didn't know too much about her, nor her capabilities on the field, but if Quinn chose her for the team, she would also have some faith in her. Saskia waved back at the girl with a big smile on her face before she turned back to the professor and a boy she didn't recognize. Probably one of the students from Durmstrang judging by his accent. And a rather loud one at that. Not that she was complaining.
Saskia tilted her head, an amused smile forming on her lips as the boy asked for a drink. "A school-hosted barbecue probably isn't the right place to be asking for ale, but we do appreciate your enthusiasm." Catching Professor Karr's gaze, she grinned back at her with a slight shrug before turning back to the Durmstrang boy. "Anyway, feel free to look around. We have a lot of other options. If you need anything, feel free to come to us. Meanwhile, I," she paused to peek a glance at Karr who was signalling her to come closer, "am needed elsewhere." She gave a final salute to the boy before walking over to the professor to see what she needed.
But as she approached her, it was already apparent that the professor didn't call her up for help. From her words alone, it seemed that she was up to something, but not even she could figure out what it was. "I do wonder what surprises you're trying to keep from us, professor," she teased, grinning as she took in her particularly mischievous expression. With an expression like that, she probably wasn't going to be getting any answers from her. "Well, if that's how we're going to do this, I'll pick the left side," she responded with a smile, waiting to see what else would happen.

Not losing his smug expression, he listened to the other kid's introduction. The boy was about his height, if not slightly shorter so he assumed him to be around his age. Nichlas would be in his fifth year and his fourteenth birthday was near. "Javisst," he muttered dryly in confirmation, his Swedish accent thick whenever he spoke English and even while speaking his mother tongue the Scanian dialect could be heard. He did not mind it much, used to it, but Disa liked to poke fun at it whenever it was especially noticeable while he spoke with her. It's been that way ever since they were little.
He wanted to expand his reply if it wasn't for his little sister making an appearance dressed in a summery outfit with her wavy hair falling over her shoulders. He scowled slightly when she called him by that damned nickname she and Disa were insistent on calling him and lightly glare at the dhampir once he picked up on it. For now he would ignore the notion and go on as if he was not just called by the name only close family members would be allowed to call him. He couldn't screw this up too quickly, especially with professors watching their every step. "That's where we are headed," he let the dhampir know his eyes shadowed with slight annoyance and something else that was not yet identifiable, before turning to look at Ella as she requested a burger from him. He rolled his eyes at his little sister, but his tone was kinder than it had been towards the dhampir. "Kom igen, skynda på! Jag tänker inte hämta din mat åt dig."
As he made his was over to the grill, past some of the other students, he would end up standing next to a kid who was shorter than him by a bunch and was currently busy talking to what appeared to be the part goblin he had spied earlier, @Gargott Dunaid. He would take a plate for himself and furthermore hand one to Ella, if she had followed, so that she could get a burger while he would fill his plate, assembling a burger of his own. Every now and then he would turn to check on the strange boy who was talking to the Hogwarts professor and based on their conversation this could end up meaning one thing. "Hogwarts student?", he would ask the kid without really an actual interest in his voice. He was watching his movement and gesture while occasionally making sure not to lose the dhampir from his sight. Curiously enough he seemed different from their little talk, but he couldn't figure out what the reason for that was. "Cat got your tongue?" he would ask the dhampir, winning back the little smirk he had displayed earlier on. Soon enough he got an idea what was up when a girl joined Howard's side to talk about burgers and whatnot, looking quite awkward doing so. If Nichlas cared enough he might have felt such a thing as second hand embarrassment.

"Rafael is going t-to lead the activity", he would tell her as a matter of fact, he had after all told her before that the Gryffindor captain was teaching him how to fly. Alan also knew that the following day when the Capture the Base game would happen, that he would have his birthday so Alan had some little bit planned for it.
Another familiar face would join them, making Alan's face brighten with joy. "Hey Syl! How are you doing?", he would ask the Ravenclaw, the memory of their first encounter still vivid in his mind. "Found any more chocolate frog cards?", he wondered curiously as he shifted his weight on his feet so that he could easily face the both of them in their conversation as to not be rude. He would be able to divide his focus like this, or could at least do his best attempt of doing so.
"Can you show me th-the camp pictures once you developed them?, he asked his friend curiously, hoping for a positive response. Pictures San made were always special to him, after all her taking a picture of him was the reason for them to meet!
