Backstory:

Nicole was the only daughter of Lorelei Grayson and Archer Grayson. She grew up in a quiet neighbourhood of London, something rare to come by. Her neighbourhood was close enough to not be isloated but far away to be peaceful. She had always been quiet, from childbirth and upto 11 years of her life. She was an unproblematic child, often compromising due to the strain of the financial condition on her family in the early years of her childhood. Later, when the money flow finally came because her dad got a better job, she got all the things she needed and even more. She didn't interact much with the other kids, fearing that she would judge her due to her inability to keep her mouth shut and would randomly blurt out facts. She was reserved, preferring to spend her time with her books, play Scrabble by herself or sometimes her dad would join in. Her mom was busy as a college professor, so she wasn't present much in Nicole's childhood. A fact Lorelei deeply regretted. Nicole didn't hold any grudges against her mom; she was mature like that. The day when the letter came, both her parents were quite tense. They had immediately phoned her aunt and asked her to come over, which she happily obliged. The three of thme ushered Nicole out of the living room, promisng ice-cream later if she behaved. She was confused but left without protest. The adults talked. Lorelei fretted over her daughter's wellbeing while Archer was concerned that she might not have any friends there. Her aunt was persuading like that. Somehow, her parents were convinced and their worries were finally put to rest when she promised to make new friends and score well in her academics.

FIOM:

Her first instance occurred when she was at her distant aunt’s house in Ashbury. Her parents had been out in Scotland, and since they had no living relative except the aunt in England, they had dropped her there.
Nicole’s aunt, Matilda, was a wielder of magic. A witch, who had quit living in the Wizard World and opted for the Muggle life. Yet she kept on using magic. Who knew little Nicole could set a chair on fire when denied her favorite toy, Mr. Snuggles? Apparently, no one. Everyone seemed baffled by this when her anger had made a chair erupt in flames.

Now, that would be considered a fire hazard for a 5-year-old, but her aunt was convinced Nicole Grayson was meant for bigger things. That she was meant for magic. And then, with much coaxing and cajoling from her aunt’s side, Nicole’s parents finally allowed her to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry when she was older and much more mature.

His life was incredibly normal, he did well in muggle schools, and seemed to have a decent amount of friends. However he never found interest in extra curricular activities. If he wasn't studying in class he was studying in a library. His parents were kind enough, both relatively quite like himself.
Beyond the handful of friends he had over the years he often found himself alone with his head in a book, but this never discomforted him. In fact he found it quite comfortable. This of course is not to say he does not enjoy the company of others, quite the opposite actually. He particularly opens up when speaking of plants or animals. As a muggle born, he was fascinated with plant and animal life. While he wasn't always liked by them (mostly due to his nervousness) he was profoundly interested in them. General caretaking of bearded dragons and there breeding tenancies? Not only could he tell you everything you need to know in the matter he would tell you the gender of the reptiles with a simple flashlight. He either knew exactly the answer or had a book or way to find that answer. You need odd breeding habits of a Indonesian animal? He either knew exactly the answer or had a book or way to find that answer. While he typically preferred reptiles he by no means only looked at them. In truth, his favorite animals were the ones that interacted with plants he found interesting. It became a interesting matter to investigate on. Furthermore, he often would find himself out of his shell when given the opportunity to speak or even engage with animals not allowing fear to cloud his opportunity to do something he enjoys.

First Instance of Magic:
His first of accidental magic happened at his seventh birthday. This particularly birthdays themes were nights and dragons. He was dressed as a knight, and played at sparing with his closer friends. One of which was a bit of a trouble maker running around with a lighter exclaiming it's his dragon flame (much at the protest of his mother). While hiding in the make shift castle they made he accidentally broke his friends you that evidently was on the floor. Panicked by this he began to try to put it back together when suddenly a light flame sprung into his night cloak as he tossed it into the yard off of his back. Despite the cloak being quite special to him as his mother helped him make it all he could think about was the broken toy, which in the end his friend forgot he even had.

As for the cloak, his friend dressed as a dragon ended up getting blamed for it burning despite adamantly denying it.

Biography:
-Before Hogwarts-
His biological parents are simple Mogles, with their own lives and simply did not want the responsibility of raising him. He knows them. His fostermother told him about them. Being curious of nature, he looked for them using social media. His mother is a nurse who enjoys living freely with tendency to have frequent short relationships. She has egyptian roots. He looked at her from affar. Not wanting to bond, just observing what kind of woman she is. She was selfish. Gossiping. Not evil but no empathy. Just self service and self gain. His father is flight attendant of Irakian origin. On his profile he was good looking. But always partying it seemed. Couldn't go see him the way he saw his mother and frankly, did not interest him. His socials said enough. He then ask his foster parents about how he came to be there. They calmly said:" they decided by phone to simply put you through the system and quickly found a foster home. We needed the money". Fair enough, seems about right. So he grew up. His own room is a simple one, minimalist. On bed on the side, a small table to study, a somwhere to put his few clothes. He forster faily is a family of 3. They were kind, but rarely spoke to him besides tasks. They tended to his basic needs, but not more. They homeschooled. It was easier for them. He grew up as an easy child, with not much asking and always listend. That made his foster parent not worry and mostley they spent time with the other kids who were more... vibrant. He was a very normal kid, played with others, but he was more on the silent type. Probably new from a young age he was not a part of the familly so he did not want to be kicked out for misbehaving. Had a few friends in the neighbrhood. But when he first encountered magic, this is where he changed. Warry of what might happen next, he spent time more in isolation, training and reading, developping his mind to be ready to takle the unknown.

-First Instance of Magic-
at seven years old. By nature he hates injustice. He was at the parc playing with a ball. Two bullies appeared and took his ball. They started playing and pushing him away. Then they beat him up. Syill hurt and on the ground, they continued playing while he burned with anger and longued for justice. One of the bully tried to kick the ball, full force then screamed. He broke his foot and blood was heavely spilled... the ball turned into a rock!!! Sifr saw it with his own eyes. He froze. What happend. How is it possible. It wasn't his imagination either. The pain from the bully and blood was real. The rest unflolded quickely. Then ambulance came to pick up the kid and the explanation seemed nonsense to the adult. Later that night, Sifr realized something: there are things, unknown, and far greater in this life. Uncommon things, unpredicteable things. Uknown things you can't just explain to people. And that unknown terrified him.

Before starting his story, it needs to explain the story where his parents met. His parents, named Eragon and Alyssa, met at a café called Van der Leclerc Liner. Shortly after starting the relationship, Alyssa confessed to Eragon her bloodline. Eventually, a wedding took place at the age of 26. After the honeymoon, it was discovered that Alyssa was pregnant. On September 30, 2014, Hendrik was born with his eyes open and curious. He did not cry nor seemed to feel confused, instead made adorable noises. That made his parents to be worried. But the doctors confirmed that there was no reason for alarm, that it was a normal reaction.

Since his birth, his parents knew he would have powers, so they made the decision that he should be home-schooled. At two years old, he was diagnosed with ADHD, but that did not prevent him from growing up like a normal child, living surrounded by a family who loved him. In his childhood, he spent time at the family café with his mother at Place Cachée, often helping her count money and interact with customers, which earned him a reputation as one of the most adorable boys. The customers came to meet him, to talk with him. He really had a knack that knew how to make people see themselves wrapped around his finger.

And it was until he was 4. His parents made the decision to move to Shere, where his father got the opportunity to work in a quiet town, and his mother transferred her business to the village. The move was stressful for Hendrik, because it meant new language and customs. Everything changed at the age of four, when the plan to travel to Disneyland Paris was canceled due to family problems, which provoked an extreme negative reaction, and it was the first evidence that Hendrik was a wizard, the reaction being triggered with the first spark. His mother knew that he would have to go study at Beauxbatons as soon as he grew older.

In the village of Shere, Hendrik progressed considerably. He used to read books, spent time drawing and taking photographs. He had his own circle of friends and had stopped loitering at his mother’s café shop, though sometimes he would be there when he was stressed and confused. As the café shop became a success, his mother opened a new franchise in Diagon Alley, allowing the family to live comfortably. Hendrik became interested in magic his mother told him that at age 11, he would have to study at Hogwarts. Having grown up in a home where magic was always present, Hendrik had shown no interest earlier because he felt that making friends was more important, and it didn’t help that he wasn’t allowed to perform magic.

At the age of nine, Hendrik was visited by a lawyer. He was the lawyer of his grandparents, the parents of his mother who had distanced herself from having married a Muggle. The lawyer’s visit had an explanation: his grandparents had died, and as he was the sole heir — apart from his mother but was removed, he ended up inheriting everything from his grandparents, including a large sum of money and multiple properties, with the intention of preserving the Van der Leclerc legacy. That made Hendrik more aware of the family history. His mother put aside the grudge and helped Hendrik to understand the importance of family history.

At age 11, Hendrik received the letter informing him that he had been accepted into Hogwarts wizarding school. The excitement was palpable because he had been waiting for this letter for a long time. His parents accompanied him to the Diagon Alley, where he was able to buy school supplies and obtain his first wand, which he nicknamed Verstappen. Once he bought everything he needed, his parents recommended that he could go to the Magical Menagerie to find a pet who could accompany him in his first year. He adopted a Wexford Half-Crup who called him Mister Sainz. At the end of the day, he was rewarded with an ice cream.

First Instance of Magic:
Reducio
I’m having breakfast at the table with my parents, in the kitchen. I’m excited because today I’m going to Disneyland Paris, which I’ve never been before. My father has told me so much about it with such passion that I have been infected with the desire to go. I can’t help but get excited and it’s evident when I’m eating the cereal.

Everything seems fine. Until my mother calls me and sits in front of me. She has a funny expression that I can’t describe, I try to help her by giving her some of my cereal. My mother starts laughing and then crying. My father joins her with a gloomy expression, and I realize that something is strange. Am I in trouble?

After a few minutes, my mother takes courage and tells me that we can’t go to Disneyworld because problems have arisen that she cannot ignore. I’m confused. I’m conflicted and don’t know how to handle this feeling of anger. I look at my mother and ask her if she’s joking, but the answer I get is not what I want.

Angers grows inside me.

The anger increases as I try to wrap my head around the fact that I’m not going to Disneyland, and I don’t understand why. I don’t realize what’s going on because all I see is red. My heart beats so fast and my ears make a funny noise. My parents look around and see that the boxes are shaking, starting to erode.

In the moment I can’t hold it anymore, I start to cry with anger. The noises that accompany my cries are from boxes that start to be thrown like projectiles all over the kitchen due of the explosion that seems to match with the intensity of my anger. My parents try to hide under the table, and I’m not aware of what’s going on.

When I calm down, I realize what has happened. I see the whole kitchen made a mess, as if almost everything had been swept away by something. And my parents under the table. I look at them confused and they look back at me. When they realize there’s no danger, they start cleaning everything.

My father avoids looking at me.

But my mother? She’s looking at me with pride.

Character Backstory: While this is entirely about Ji-won, we need a backstory for his family, considering he's basically just now starting to live. Jeong Young-hee was born June 2nd, 1988 in Ulsan, South Korea as the youngest female charge of the Jeong family, her parents Jeong Yu-na, formerly of the Lim family, and Jeong Do-yoon were both born into old money so Yu-na opted to try her hand at being a socialite while Do-yoon chose to work, a true monster of capitalism, he could never have enough money. Young-hee's parents sent her to Japan at a young age because they wanted her to go to and make connections at Mahoutokoro, which many of their many acquaintances were planning to send their children.

As soon as she'd gotten to that school, she was taken under the wing of many of the older years, who'd built up her already too high opinion of herself with compliments and gifts. As a privileged child of a family from old money, she lacked plenty of humility at her young age and, since she had a pretty face and was raised to her hold herself to a very high standard, she wasn't a bully but she wasn't a nice person. Funnily enough, she ended up meeting the equally vain and rich love of her life at that very school, Kim Jae-in. Before they'd gotten together, they didn't like one another, she thought he was cruel and self-centered, which was true, and he thought she was needlessly haughty and and fake, which was also true.

They didn't get together for love, why would they? They didn't even like each other. But in a strange way, they did respect each other and actively sought each other out for company, but with a significant amount of distance, of course. They got together to raise their respective standings but, after a while, they gained a bond so strong, they didn't think love could describe it. After they graduated, they had a mutual understanding that they wanted to stay together for better or for worse, no, they didn't get married straight out of school, only engaged, but they did meet each other's families, who despised each other almost as soon as they met, not that they thought they'd get along, their families are too similar.

Shortly after the family introduction, they moved in together in a manor they'd gotten built in Ulsan, where Young-hee opted to work in something she definitely had the requirements for, modelling. She got a large amount of recognition because of her face, both in South Korea and outside of it, but she didn't pursue fame that was higher than high-level recognition, surprisingly, she wasn't interested in pursuing modelling in the America, she was fine with Asia and some parts of Europe.

Jae-in, who was never one to be told what to do by anyone, other than his lovely fiancée of course, opened his own law firm in Ulsan, which is why Young-hee's father took to him easily, they both wanted even more wealth than they already had. Shortly after he'd opened his firm, he and Young-hee had finally tied the knot, in a large and over-the-top ceremony.

At the age of 20, Young-hee gave birth to her and Jae-in's first two children, Ian and Hanuel, Jiwon's elder brother and sister. They'd decided to send them to live with relatives in Japan because they wanted them to go to their old school, where they had made so many happy memories.

It wasn't until she was 21, 23, and 25 when she'd had Ji-woo, Ji-min, and Chae-mi, respectively, where they decided they would only have one more child before they start planning to move to England in a few years time. Jae-in's law firm had opened a location in England a few months before and Young-hee's agency was fine with transferring her to another one, and the children weren't old enough to have to transfer from any schools yet.

She was 26 when she'd gotten pregnant with Ji-won and his twin, yes, twin, sister, Ae-Ri, still in Ulsan, and it was by far, the worst pregnancy she had to endure. His mother was nauseous all the time and couldn't keep anything down, despite her healthy appearance, it was like the pregnancy was draining her, which worried her and Jae-in's families. When her water broke in the early morning of February 14, 2015, despite the pain she was in, she was relieved that she'd be free from the cold clutches of this cursed pregnancy soon.

At exactly 4:02 in the morning in Ulsan, South Korea, Kim Jiwon was born, red-faced and unsettlingly quiet, all wispy black hair and colorless eyes, it was unnerving for the healers, considering the juxtaposition of him and Ae-Ri 's behavior after being born. The healers assured them that everything was fine and the uncertainty had a hold of his mother's feels so long that when they confirmed that Ji-won was okay, she had burst into tears, almost as if his emotions were connected to his mother's, Ji-won, too, started crying.

Three years after his birth, his family moved to Bristol, into a posh-looking townhome that is much bigger on the inside than it looks on the outside. Adjusting to England, or anywhere that wasn't Korea in general, was a struggle for the children, especially Ji-won and his siter, who hadn't yet started their English studies, or any studies for that matter.

Ji-won was doted on by his mother, who loved that he looked so much like her during her childhood, she loved how feminine he looked and took any time she could to tell him that it was a wonderful thing. As a result, Ji-won's ego was very iron-clad, he knew what he looked like and he loved it. When he turned five, he started his studies with private tutors, he loved learning other languages the most but anything about magic, whether it be magical theory or the history of magic in general, was always a joy for him. His eldest brother and sister came frequently to visit from Japan during holidays, it was awkward with them and their parents but it slowly started to be resolved.

His father's sister and her family lived nearby and visited frequently, she, too, became charmed by Ji-won and his well-behaved nature. Ji-won's mother and aunt often took him and Ae-Ri to join them at gatherings with their circle to gush over them and their siblings, they didn't like the people there all that much and their mother and aunt shared that sentiment.

Growing up, people often asked if he also wanted to be a model like his mother but he never had an answer., in his opinion, it was a loaded question to ask a kid but he digressed. He wasn't particularly close with his father because they had none of the same interests but they definitely weren't estranged, they just had a hard time bonding with each other.

Ji-won was close with all his siblings but he was even closer with Chae-mi. Chae-mi was the odd one in the family, she had only two friends and, according to his brother, terrified the younger years. Ji-won loves his older sister to death but even he knows she can be a little strange, she was fiercely protective over him and Ae-ri which worried their parents so much that she's sent to a mind healer every week. His older siblings were sorted into Slytherin which delighted their aunt, even though Ji-min and Chae-mi told her that they were one foot away from being sorted into Ravenclaw.

While he was watching his siblings go to Hogwarts only the platform, he, and his twin sister, were always eager to get their letters, so imagine how ecstatic they were after getting them. He was very happy and he'd immediately started planning out his outfit for the train.

Soon, after he got his letter, his siblings started betting on what house he'd end up in, who bet on what was going to be revealed after the sorting, through owling, considering he'd be at school for several months.

First Instance of Magic: When Ji-won was four, he was still adjusting to being in England, he hated how his cousins teased him about his "girly' looks. On this particular day, his cousin Sung-woo was in the process of teasing him, despite knowing that looking girly wasn't a bad thing, it still made Ji-won upset. While he was glaring at his cousin and trying not to cry, Sung-woo's hair turned a sickly shade of yellow, and Ji-won, after seeing his cousin lose his mind over it, was no longer upset and was a giggling mess.

Lucas lived a rather dim, impoverished childhood with no intelectual stimulation. A grey endless nightmare of boredom and paranoia, the neighbors lived a life of appearances and were suspicious of each other.

His parents owned a local grocery store and were involved in petty schemes to increase their profit, resulting in products of questionable precedence. The other branches in the family were far more successful and scorned their business, depriving Lucas' parents of financial help. As a result of those living conditions, they had no other children, and Lucas shared their shameful reputation as he wondered why his potential had to be capped by circumstances that weren't his fault.

Ever since he found out about his magical inheritage, he decided he would absorb as much of the wizarding world as possible in his next school years, seeing in his acceptance in Hogwarts a brand new life. His parents ultimately agreed he was destined for better things and let him go, although they were clearly offended, now left adrift to deal with their skeletons in the closet.

Sylvia Selene Savage was born on June 7th, 2015 in a small muggle hospital in London with her twin Selena Sophie Savage. She and her twin sister were conceived as an affair child, and born to their British mother Sandra Savage (half-blood) and pure-blooded Russian father Grigori Sokolovsky, a man of questionable morality.

Sylvia and her twin sister were half-blood, and perhaps due to their half-blooded status never had frequent visits by their biologicial father. Sylvia also has half-brothers Harvey Dunn and Buck Break, since Grigori was not a man of good morality; however, she is unaware of the half-siblings as of the beginning of her first year.

Due to her father's negligence, she was often taken care of by her mother's family and mostly knew her cousins on her maternal side, mostly hanging out with the Chaos family and often spend time during the holidays with Fawkes Chaos and her most distant cousin Raphael Jourdian, in which, she was known for being a rather annoying brat.

Permission given by Harvey Dunn, Fawkes Chaos, Raphael Jourdian, and Remy Break (Buck Break as his future iNPC). They agreed to re-index upon Sylvia's validation.

Sylvia was born and raised in London until she was three years old, and ever since then moved to Dublin with her mother and sister. While Sylvia is of at least half British ancestry and descent, she speaks with a thick Irish accent due to her upbringing, and in general is not known for polite talk and chatter, and is known for being rather rough and rowdy.

She is also notably not a good student. While Selena cared about grades, Sylvia never did. While she was incredibly intelligent, she only proritized her intellegence for things she cared about, mostly wanting to become a duellist when she grows up.

Sylvia was six years old when she lost her favorite stuffed bunny, Tatsumaki, or as she would lovingly refer to it as Tatsu, inspired by a popular Anime show called One Piece. While she felt like Tatsu never liked "her," she was extremely saddened.

She was first playing outside in the park while her twin sister was on the slides, playing with another young girl. Sylvia had zero interests in slides, so she wandered off to a sandbox, creating a rather grosteque castle of her own creation. After a while, her mother felt like the day was rather hot and worried that the twins might contract a heatstroke, dragging Sylvia and Selena home.

Sylvia forgot her bunny in the sandbox, simply buried with it's head sticking out, and scaring the kids nearby with it's chewed off ears and missing button eyed, which she loved to scare her older cousin Fawkes Chaos with.

Permission given by Fawkes Chaos for mention!

Sylvia is not known to be a genius, but in reaction, as her mother and sister was waiting at the bus stop, she wailed for Tatsu. A small patch of grass simply decayed, a small magical reaction, yes, but her first one.

In the end, Sylvia did end up getting Tatsu back.

Nellie had never really realized that anything was odd about her family, not really. Sure her mom got lots of looks when they went out because of how extraordinarily gorgeous she was, but she always thought it was just because her mom was nice and pretty. Well, that’s what toddler Nellie had thought. While her dad seemed like a pretty ordinary guy, she did sometimes wonder why she couldn’t know what his job was. She had also noticed at a very young age that her mother was very calm and never really yelled at her. Whenever the kids at her muggle school would talk about their mothers or fathers getting upset at them for stuff they did, she could never really relate or understand it, sometimes she just thought her mother was probably the best mom in the world. Until she turned nine and her mom and dad had sat her down for a talk one day after school whenever Nellie had began realizing that she was always being pushed to be calm, which wasn’t to hard for her though, since she was a rather patient and sweet understanding little girl. She was also beginning to realize she could never hear about what her father did for work, which wasn’t really ideal if she had projects about her family and had to put her mother or father’s job. She’d always get super weird looks whenever she said she didn’t know her father’s job. Her mother and father had basically told her everything about what they were, her mother a Veela who was always calm and never snapped because she knew what she’d turn into if she did, then her father was a pure blooded wizard who also had magic, just a different form that was a whole lot easier to hide. To Nellie, it explained everything. It explained why the boys at school had often found her pretty, although she wasn’t a really big fan of the attention as she was still a little nine year old girl at that time who thought anything revolving boys was gross. It also explained why her mom got lots of look, she couldn’t hear her fathers job, since he worked for the ministry of magic. She knew if she had said that she would’ve DEFINITELY gotten some super weird looks. Then her mother was always super graceful and calm, it had always seemed intentional. Her mother had explained everything about how Veela were a magical race originating from Eastern Europe and Western Russia. They were known for their extraordinary beauty, musical abilities, and enchanting presence. Their magic is different from the controlled wand magic of wizards and witches, and their tempers can be formidable. When sufficiently angered, a Veela can become much more bird-like in appearance, with wings and other harpy like features, and can even produce fire. Nellie was then told that wizards and witches where they lived used wands to perform their magic and were born with special abilities, even if their parents weren’t both wizards. In Nellie’s case though, Nellie’s father was a pureblood wizard. Nellie was fascinated by the whole thing, but she also learned the same day the responsibilities that came with being half-Veela, or even a witch or wizard. You need to be in control of your emotions, especially around muggles, and you definitely shouldn’t abuse the power you have. Nellie’s mother also carefully taught her in a way that didn’t focus on beauty and charm as being super important. There was music behind it, a language, history, and responsibilities. Nellie was even taught the language by her mother, and eventually, by eleven, she knew how to say and understand simple sentences and conversations. Nellie never ever abused her magical powers, she was horrified at even the idea of ever trying to do that, even more so of getting caught doing it. She was still the same Nellie she always was, the sweet, understanding, patient, wise, and helpful Nellie. She just now knew how to control her emotions better and she knew about where she came from and who she really was. She was deeply proud of who she was, even if she knew there was prejudice out there in the world for people like her and her mother. Whenever Nellie had gotten her Hogwarts acceptance letter at eleven, she was absolutely overjoyed, she remembers jumping up and down with the biggest grin and happily showing her mom and dad. By then she already knew exactly who she was, she knew the Veela language, she knew how to control her anger, and she knew that she didn’t have to choose between being a witch and being a Veela. She wasn’t a full Veela pretending to be a witch, and she wasn’t a witch pretending that her Veela ancestry didn’t exist. She perhaps found that the most comforting thing about who she really was. She carries two very important parts of herself everyday and strangely, it gives her a sort of extra feeling of belonging, she knows she’s always going to be welcomed in both her witch half and her Veela half, even if only just by her parents. At hogwarts, Nellie hopes to learn more about both sides of herself. She wants to improve her wand work, she wants to learn more about the Veela language, she wants to know more about her mother and father’s people, and she wants to learn to control parts of her heritage she hasn’t really grown to understand yet. Most of all though, Nellie hopes that she’ll find people like her, people who don’t treat her like some type of ‘filthy half-breed’ or a ‘charming Veela’ because to her, that’s not what she is. She’s a child born of two very wonderful heritages and ancestries mixing together, which is exactly who she wants to be. After all, her mother had always told her never to be ashamed of her gift just because of other people’s hatred or let other people shape who you are with simple labels forced upon you. Nellie intends to decide who she is entirely on her own, she just hopes hogwarts is the right place for that.

Character Backstory: Nellie had a pretty alright family life, if you were ever to ask her about it. She grew up in a sort of weird situation, her family wasn’t exactly poor, but they weren’t really comfortable or rich either, they were maybe a little bit below comfortable living. Not really comfortable but not really poor. She had her mum, a woman named Rose Elswood, then she had her dad, a man named Gage Elswood. Nellie remembered growing up that she constantly felt like she had to compete with her siblings, her sister, Ruby, and her brothers, Arthur and Charlie. Ruby was a bit younger than Nellie by about a year while Charlie was about three years younger, then Arthur was older by six years. Arthur wasn’t particularly the smartest, while Nellie was pretty well academically so her parents focused on him in that area, then her younger brother Charlie was often more favored as the youngest in the family and often got whatever he wanted. Meanwhile Ruby was often favored since she was more ‘well-behaved’ when Nellie was younger since Nellie would get jealous and act out for attention. However, she eventually grew into her responsible, mature, sweet, and well-behaved self once she made more friends.

First Instance of Magic: Nellie’s first instance of magic was when she was six. It happened one day at a birthday party for her neighbor, the adults had been talking in the front yard laughing over wine while the kids were playing games in the backyard. They had all been playing hide and seek, Nellie had hid in the best place she could find nearby. Which was.. well.. just a thick-ish tree. She desperately hoped and prayed nobody would find her while she hid. Eventually.. someone did. Or rather, she thought they had. They instead walked right past her while she was right in front of them. She was very confused. Maybe just thought they were jokingly going past her. The truth, however, was that Nellie had turned invisible. Nobody knew though since nobody saw, obviously, and Nellie didn’t think of it like that. She just happily ran to her parents and told them about how she’d won hide and seek since she hid really well. Nobody suspected anything out of the ordinary really, just had a few kids accusing her of having hid inside the house, which was against the rules. They got over it, though.
