His medium-brown hair is naturally wavy (2C) and worn in a somewhat unruly mop-top. His muggle parents owned a rundown grorcery store with stolen and/or poorly stocked products. That made the family infamous among the community and even their relatives, a trait that affected Lucas' self concept as well.
For him, this produced a childhood characterized by boredom, paranoia, and the feeling that the world was strangely small. There was little opportunity for intellectual exploration, and few people around him encouraged his questions about how things worked.
The discovery of his magical heritage changed this completely.
Once he learned that magic was real and that an entire hidden society existed beyond the world he had known, he became determined to absorb as much of the wizarding world as possible. Hogwarts represented far more than an education to him: it was the possibility of an entirely new life.
The parents eventually accepted that he was destined for something beyond the life they could offer him and allowed him to attend Hogwarts, although his departure was accompanied by a clear sense of offense and resentment on their part.

FIRST INSTANCE OF MAGIC
His first known instance of magic occurred when he was ten years old during a school trip.
He accidentally fell into a roughly twenty-foot-deep trap hole and remained missing for a whole day. Under ordinary circumstances, the fall and the amount of time spent trapped should have resulted in serious injury or death.
Instead, he eventually emerged from the hole through an unexplained magical phenomenon and somehow floated all the way back to his home, completely unharmed.
He behaved as though nothing particularly unusual had happened.
The incident was his first unmistakable indication that something about him was fundamentally different. It also became the event that would eventually make his later discovery of the wizarding world feel less like the revelation of an entirely foreign reality and more like the explanation for something impossible that had already happened to him.
