Combat Training
If I was being honest, I hadn't paid much attention to the schedule of events. It was only when I saw lots of people heading in one direction that I decided to follow them. I could do flying practise later.
When I arrived at the large field, I was very surprised. A running track? Fencing? First aid? Nothing really about magic, except the target practise. I smiled slightly.
A few minutes later, I was partway through a lap of the running track, after tying up my hair, and stretching a tiny bit, just because I could see other people doing that.
The lap took me quite a while - I wasn't the fastest runner. But, I didn't need to be - back in my primary school, I was good at dodging, and one of the strongest. Although, if I wanted to possibly be an auror, I should try to get faster. Maybe I should train more regulary - it felt really good getting some of my energy out.
Eventually, I went over to the target practise area, and pulled out my wand. I casted a simple red sparks charm, pleased when it hit the target, not fully in the chest, but mostly. After a few more spells hit, I nodded happily, and went to sit down at the edge of the field, watching everyone else.

ReducioAurelia was super excited for combat training; she had never been allowed to do things like this at home! She followed the large crowd of people towards her first sporting event. She began to warm up with simple stretches and jogging. She loved running. So she ran a few laps, 5 jogging laps, 5 running laps and 5 sprints. Then she had a dilemma. What to do now? She had two choices: target practice, which consisted of aiming your wand at a target and firing a spell; and first-aid training, which consisted of doing all the boring things she had been taught at school. Well, there was also fencing, but sign-ups weren't up yet. Some people thought that this would be an easy choice, but Aurelia hated the thought of harming someone, even if it was just a target. What if her wand misfired and someone was in the way? But first-aid training was so boring. Although she probably had time for them both. Actually, it was probably a good idea to do first aid before target practice; if her wand slipped, she would at least know how to handle it. She finished her 5th sprint lap and made her way over to the first aid area. She noticed that she was one of only a few children at this station, but she didn't mind at all. She walked up to one of the training dummies and began to work. First, she cleansed the dummy's wound with antiseptic wipes, then she bandaged his wound, and then she secured the tape around the bandage. Then she moved on. The dummy had a weird red mark on its back. What could it be? Sunburn, of course! Then she noticed a large bump on its head, cold compress time! Lastly, she saw two broken bones, an arm, for she used a sling on, and a leg, which she used a splint on.

Madeline was excited about the combat training that she could experience in this summer camp. She had been reading up on as many spells as she could, and wanted to be a duelist. She had enrolled in the summer camp so that she could get more experience and learn as much as she could about everything that would help her become the best duelist that she could.
She was not as early getting to the site for the combat training as her cabin mates @Diana Roberts or @Aurelia Delorme, but she was still going to make sure that she was there, and that she took advantage of this event and training.
As she walked into the training area she saw people doing stretches, some of them doing other exercises like pushups, and a few others running around the fields in a warmup - like @Aurelia Delorme. Madeline was not much for running and exercising - at least not her body but rather her mind and wand.
She continued walking through the camp until she found what she wanted - the practice dummies. She knew that she was not going to get to actually duel here, but getting to practice the spells that she learned near the end of the year, and since she had not practiced at home during the summer holiday, she wanted to make sure that she was still fresh and able to do the spells that she knew.
She stopped in front of one of the dummies, then looked around - just to make sure no other students were next to her, or about to walk into her line of fire - then she raised her wand, made the steady wand motion and confidently enunciated the incantation, “Flipendo!” She could see the spell leave her wand and push the dummy back as the force of the spell struck its mark, and without waiting she continued her assault on the dummy as she cried out, “Jaculor!” shooting a small rock toward the dummy, followed quickly with the spell, “Periculum” shooting a blinding amount of sparks toward the dummy as she followed that up with one last spell, “Tarantallegra!”
She stopped with the last spell to watch as the dummy began to dance around on its pedestal with the random movements the spell causes. It was good to be back at Hogwarts where she could once again use magic, and continue to improve her abilities.

What is a summer camp about anyway? No one ever told Harumi the answer to that question of hers, not because it's top secret information that they are withholding from her, or because no one listens to her, in fact it's her fault for not asking. Asking would be too silly of her, now wouldn't be? This is supposed to be common sense! She thought of googling it when she had the chance at home, but magical camps must be different anyway right? Typing a few words to get information that could prove useless is a waste of energy in her opinion, or maybe she's just lazy, up to your interpretation.
----Activities, that's the answer, at least that's what she gathered. Now, what sort of summer camp activities does the magical world has to offer? That remains to be discovered throughout august. And surprisingly the first one is combat, magical folk don't usually care all that much about physical strength, it's refreshing to see that change a bit from time to time. Don't mistake that for her wanting to join however, she was going to skip all the running and such, she does like seeing it, but participating is a different matter, she doesn't have enough energy for that today, maybe she'll join one of the next activities, but today is just not the day.
----So straight to the medical tent she went. Hopefully dressing a couple of wounds wouldn't take too much energy. Inside there was no injured students, she looked around, only dummies were laying on beds, she knew they weren't going to injure students just for them to become the dummies, but she couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed she doesn't get to help real people, no offence to the dummies, they're real, just not people. After scanning the other students around, her eyes came across Thomas, her cabin-mate, who was naming one of the dummies, "Doug" she heard him say. Deciding to be annoying, and because life is too short to refrain from startling someone, Harumi took a few carefully silent steps towards him, until she was a couple of steps behind him. "Do you think Doug is scared of needles?" She spoke all of a sudden without context, didn't even say hello, that was her best attempt at catching him off guard.

Combat Training.
This was one of the many events Aaron was looking forward to. Well, he we looking forward to all the events to be honest. This was the first of many to come.
As he headed off to the training area, he saw it was divided into multiple parts. There was a jogging section, one for only physical workouts, an area to practise spell casting, and finally an area for healing.
His best bet were all areas except for the combat training section since he didn't know any spells whether combat related or otherwise. He thus headed off to the tracks to do some jogging before going to the physical training area for a quick workout session.
As he ran the lap, Aaron looked around at the other activities taking place. He saw people facing casting spells on dummies, attacking them with all their might; there were people lifting weights, doing pushups, squats and more with ease; people healing injured dummies with the help of medical supplies provided. That felt like the best place to be at after his workout. So, after running for nearly 10 minutes, Aaron went and started his workout.
He started working on his core with deadbug and planks. This was followed with 3 sets of squats and pushups, followed with split squats and bench press. He finally concluded his workout with one of the tricep exercises and calf raises.
With this, it had been more than an hour since he began his workout and was tired from head to toe, sweating like crazy. He took a minute to rest up before continuing with the healing section. He believed that it would be better to learn how to treat minor injuries before getting into crazy combats he wasn't mildly ready for in the first place.
With that in mind, Aaron entered the medical tent to learn something new.

VALE
ASHWOODDepartment of Law Enforcement: House of Judgement
Note: Vale has achromatopsia and uses special contact lenses to see. She is also a burn survivor.
It felt so oddly cold that it made Vale grimace. Even as she purposefully covered herself up with a heavy robe from her travel trunk. She was glad to have heard her mother's warning to bring such, just in case. Now she stood still, plainly observing multiple fellow students partaking in various exercises or lurking around the medical tent. Her nerves felt bad, even as Vale grew used to the tingling pain she felt daily. For now, she decided to enter the medical tent. So far, she hadn't recognized anyone there, not even anyone from her cabin.
But in gruesome fairness, she had a hard time seeing in general.
A quick look over and Vale took recognition of the objects being showcased for use. Healing potions (she had to miserably re-make multiple for her father after her accident), gauzes and-oh. Burn cream. Such a familiar tool indeed. Vale did have to admit to herself that, as boring and as restrictive it was, her healing internship did some degree of helping her learn how to actually help people rather than just simply watch them succumb to their wounds.
Wounds. Scars. Burns. Something that can stay forever, even with the best treatments. Vale supposes muggles have to deal with it on far worse scales. Out of fear of wizards succumbing to the evildoings of muggles or vice versa, they were best left alone from each other.
Vale picked up bandages, observing the cloth with barely any feeling in her charred hands. To cover wounds and allow them time to heal. Yes, she remembered wearing these in the hospital. They covered everything, and Vale was pretty sure she had most of it on just so her nurse didn't have to worry about Vale wandering around for her own eager misdoings.
Now she had to use it to cover a nearby training dummy. Vale had to avoid finding humor in such disastrous irony. Vale didn't even have to wait her turn in many things. The student working on the dummy she planned on using immediately bolted off upon seeing her.
Black, sharp nails moved quickly to wrap. A practice that she had to learn herself outside the hospital with her mother during her recovery period. She was awfully lucky that the healing process didn't prevent her from even entering into camp. Her very first time at camp. Even Vale wasn't so sure why she decided to go. Perhaps it was simply because her father actually offered the idea to her. Even without her newly hired bodyguards to surround her constantly upon her entering the camp, he felt secure enough to send her off. To a Ministry event, no less. The family truly couldn't bear grudges.
As soon as Vale was done wrapping, seeing her work was successful, the dummy went back to its usual state. A permanent, inevitable state. Vale could actually sympathize with the object, even if her own undoing was of her own fault.
Without much further care, Vale returned to the table to pick away more tools to explore with, deciding upon using burn cream next. An equally familiar tool to her. Something she wasn't even allowed to go to camp without, and her mother packed perhaps far too much of the substance in her trunk. Regardless of the irony, Vale decided she'd rather stick around the medical tent until it was time to leave. With a quick move, Vale moved to tie her dreadlocks up higher to help her see better, and went on to a continuous, awfully pointless work.

𝕽ight as the senior girl stepped foot into the medical tent, Robin physically felt the temperature drop to a dangerous degree. Towards the end of their conversation at the feast, he had built up some amount of courage and even—for some dang reason—refused a certain "deal" she proposed. The girl then left him alone that night, but there was a lurking intuition that they would meet again. Still, Robin thought that would at least be till they returned to Hogwarts for the coming year, instead it was merely a few days after that he almost encountered her again. Luckily, it's just almost. Robin quickly ducked around a table and made his way to the far side of the tent unnoticed, at least that's what he thought, since if Vale Ashwood had saw him, she would probably have approached with that terrifying smile of hers.
So far the senior's actions are quite normal, apparently she had some interest in healing or treating injuries. Why would she stop here otherwise? Most students wanted to go target practicing or fencing, so Robin and the few others had the tent for themselves the first few minutes. Then Vale Ashwood arrived, and anyone blocking her path moved aside promptly without complaint. It looks like I'm not the only one scared of her presence. That realization provided little comfort, as it only emphasized how real her threats were.
In Robin's mind, his evasion skills are better than your average twelve-year-old. That didn't make him overconfident though, and the boy stayed in the exact same position like a frightened herbivore before moving one centimeter at a time towards the exit. He remained behind anything that could block the senior's view, including tables, shelves, training dummies, and even other scared students. Robin already got some knowledge out of his practices here, so while learning a bit more would be beneficial, there is no need to put his feathery little bird neck out there.
To Merlin and any existing deity, please distract her gaze with something far more interesting than me.

| —— | He hadn’t really planned on participating much. It seemed the right choice of action considering his situation. Knowing himself, he would stick out no matter where he went or what he did. That was apparently the problem. His father had made it absolutely clear that if he were to get in trouble before as much setting foot on the grounds for Durmstrang, there would be hell to pay. Of course he used a lot of fancier words, but Harvey saw no reason to sugarcoat what the obvious intention was. So he was to keep his head down and his mouth shut. But he was also supposed to stick close to Prince Charming, aka @Magnus Blackwood. The kid was trying so hard to be a disappointment it made Harvey almost laugh. He didn’t quite dare contradict completely. He made sure to look around for that curly mop about once a day or so. Sadly it wasn’t as hard to spot him as he could have hoped, seeing as they were in the same cabin. Keeping his head down in general was more of a challenge. He knew the smart comments would start flying as soon as he observed something worth commenting on, and that was pretty much everything. So when the day of combat training arrived, he figured he might as well situate himself somewhere he could laugh at all the idiots, while doing as little out of himself as possible. The choice fell on the first-aid training. He found himself a chair next to a box filled with bandages and band-aids near the opening of the tent. He could always just unroll and reroll bandages, right? Happy with his choice he took a seat and grabbed a roll. He made quite a mess of unbundling the bandage. A sly smile appeared on his face as he spread it out in front of him. The extra space created gave him the opportunity to lean back as he ever so slowly began rolling. His fingers moved meticulously while his eyes wandered between the different stations outside of the tent. Seeing someone trip and fall while running made him snicker as he continued. Another fool managed to miss the target so widely it was a wonder if they had even aimed the spell at all. His hands continued working as he glanced over the tent itself. It wasn’t much, but he could absolutely do this for a day. | —— |

Note: Vale has achromatopsia and uses special contact lenses to see. She is also a burn survivor.
Vale paused in her movements, as if she was pushing in to hear something shifting. She twisted her eyes, scanning through the students who tolerated her own presence to find anything, anyone, who didn't.
Red pupils shone through, only to settle on one, singular thing in the furthest portion of the tent. A slight bit of blurriness, but it was focused upon like nothing. Vale moved over to her new object of interest. Black claws extended, slowly yet quietly grabbing onto its latest prey without due mercy. A simple tug was enough to pull its secretive nature away from its conducted veil.
"Oh Ashes, I thought I told you to stay at the cabin." Vale hummed, lifting the ragdoll out to the air, taking in its stitched smile. She dangled it from one of its limbs, swinging it back and forth in a playful manner.
"Hm, fine. Since you asked so nicely." Vale returned back to where she once was. In a delicate move, she picked up a pair of scissors, snipping the air to test their sharpness. With a surprisingly careful glare, she snipped a loose thread from the doll. A smile crept up on her scarred mouth.
"That @Robin Lockett though, such a strange boy. Hiding away, and yet I did all that prep work in telling him to face his own fears. That appeared far more valuable in effort than doing anything with these dummies too." Vale only made a small giggle. "Oh? Give chase as punishment? Hm, not today. The scars hurt more than usual." Without a second thought, Vale stabbed the dummy with the scissors in hand, letting its metal, surgical frame glide so carefully into what Vale assumed was a form of silicone. She kept her smile, watching as the scissors did little, just like every other form of 'healing' she had done for the dummy. It returned to its inevitable state of suffering.
"Come on out, Blue. Is that any way to treat your senior? We have some medical aid to do." Vale plopped the doll onto a table, allowing Ashes to lean against a medical kit, as if observing for its own amusement at the theatrical that was of a caught critter in a baited trap.
