ReducioKayla Norton had never expected her Christmas break to be nightmare.
Finally a senior in high school ready to face the world, returning home completely for Christmas means facing the people she's been trying to avoid—especially Matt, the boy who was once her best friend before a painful betrayal shattered their friendship.
But before she can survive the awkward reunions, tragedy strikes.
When news arrives that her father has suddenly died, Kayla's world is thrown into chaos. Her mother's devastating reaction lands her in the ICU, leaving Kayla responsible for holding her family together while shielding her younger sister from the terrifying truth.
Forced to stay with Matt's family during the crisis, Kayla finds herself trapped beside the one person she never wanted to see again. While Matt seems determined to help, his sudden concern only deepens the anger she's carried for years. As grief, exhaustion, and old wounds begin to overwhelm her, one reckless decision leads to a devastating car accident that changes everything.
Now recovering from her injuries while her family teeters on the edge of collapse, Kayla must confront the past she's spent years running from. As long-buried truths resurface and the distance between her and Matt begins to crack, she'll have to decide whether some broken relationships can be repaired—or if some wounds are too deep to heal.
In a season defined by loss, Kayla discovers that the hardest part of healing is letting someone back in.do you still post your book on site? i’ve bookmarked your thread but i haven’t see anything new for a while. if you don’t, no worries! i just really liked it and wanted to see if you were going release more chaptersI wanted to make sure it was something I loved and enjoyed writing without limits, so I can send chapters (currently have like up to chapter 40 complete I believe) if you’d like, but I’m keeping chapters 35-end a secret as a surprise.

Hey! No one feel any pressure to answer because I know that it can be a bit more personal than anyone would like to. But I've been tasked to learn about Northern Ireland culture so I was wondering if someone who might be knowledgable on the subject would owl me, you don't have to live there or know a whole lot, maybe you know some stuff because thats where your character is from or maybe just a fun little fact. I figured it might be a little more acurate if I asked real people instead of google?
