[WC 292] - First Floor
English ~ Japanese ~ Parseltongue ~ Snake ~ ThoughtsXXXThe bell rang, signalling the end of Charms class. Eonaria packed up her belongings and left the classroom along with a bunch of other students. It was lunchtime, so most people were heading to the Great Hall. She followed the crowd. She had gotten used to the moving staircases, but they were still a little jarring when they stopped and started.
XXXUnfortunately, on the First Floor, the staircase she was on decided to change directions again before she was fully off. Eonaria automatically jumped the last step with a gasp. She landed safely on the ground, but the sudden movement caused Yuzu to lose her grasp around her neck-- her tiny body wasn't strong enough to keep the best grip yet-- and fall to the floor. Eonaria yelped in fright, matching Yuzu's hiss of confusion and panic. "No, wait! Come back!" Not that Yuzu would be able to understand that. Eonaria was still getting the hang of swapping between the two languages fluently.
XXXThe little green and yellow snake was in danger of being squished by oblivious students. Her shoe had been dislodged in the landing, so Eonaria stumbled when she tried to reach for Yuzu. The snake quickly disappeared in the chaos.
XXXThankfully, not too many students were coming from behind her anymore. She stood frozen, trying to search the stone floor. Most of the students cleared out after a while, and she could still hear Yuzu's hisses, but she couldn't see her. She was tentative to blatantly call out in Parseltongue when there were still people around, though. Oh, no... Eonaria put her shoe back on properly, stepping further in the Corridor. Was she hiding in the shadows to avoid the passersby? Or stuck behind a suit of armour somewhere?·༻✦ ─ · ✽ 𖤓 ✽ · ─ ✦༺·

I was coming back from a free period and heading towards the kitchens for my dorm when the staircase suddenly moved to another direction.
I heard a yelp and a bunch of students shuffling away from the area. "No, wait! Come back!" came from the crowd.
The crowd thinned and I sighed. I shuffled up another staircase and walked toward a prefect when I felt something cool and scaly climb up my legs.
I looked down and saw the cutest snake I have ever seen! It was green and yellow, and it looked confused and scared (I don't know how to read snake thoughts, but that's how it looked like!) I jogged toward a corner and let the snake climb up my hand.
"Hi there!" I know she wouldn't understand me because, well, nobody could speak with a snake! I then realized that there was a girl that said for something to come back! Perhaps she was looking for her pet snake! I tried to find the impossibilities, but well, might as well try! My first try, probably the Great Hall for lunch, then I would try common rooms. I asked a prefect what route I should take to the hall, then went through who knows how many staircases and entered the Great Hall.

[WC 412] - Great Hall
English ~ Japanese ~ Parseltongue ~ Snake ~ ThoughtsXXXEonaria searched and searched, her panic only increasing. The Corridors of the First Floor seemed quite empty as far as she could tell. Once the last few stragglers were gone, she tried her hand at calling out to Yuzu again. "Yuzu? Where are you?" Nothing. She checked the surrounding staircases, squinting at some of them which were swiveling away. Still nothing. The classrooms? Eonaria tried to subtly peek under the desks. No, she wouldn't go into a random room. She had lectured the little snake on the dangers of doorways many times.
XXXForced to admit defeat, she descended one more floor. Yuzu didn't know how to go up staircases, after all. The only way was down. Nervous, Eonaria started her search all over again, heart pounding. If the worst came to worst, she could desperately hope Yuzu would be smart enough to lurk in a place she could easily find. Sadly, baby snakes, especially ones with egos like Yuzu's, weren't the most intelligent creatures.
XXXThere was no sign of her in the Entrance Hall... maybe the Library? There was no way. Eonaria took a deep breath, making her shoulders relax. She had to keep a cool head about her. Maybe Yuzu had followed the crowd in an attempt to not get trampled. It was a somewhat backwards logic, but hey, better than staying in one place and getting stepped on.
XXXEonaria stepped into the Great Hall, scanning the space in front of the tables. Her eyes caught the tiniest flash of dark green and pale yellow scales. Yuzu! Her heart almost stopped when she saw her in the grasp of a student. She hurried over as fast as she could without her robes impending her way, about to come up with a flood of words that she could use to just get Yuzu and get out of there as fast as possible-- when she realised who it was. That was a familiar face. Her brain worked for a moment before giving her the name she wanted. Saanvika! They had been in the same cabin during summer camp. Eonaria knew Saanvika loved animals, she wouldn't hurt Yuzu at all. "Hello!" she greeted, relieved and somewhat out of breath. "I am so glad you found her, thank you so much!!"
XXX"Took you long enough," Yuzu hissed, but Eonaria could tell she was a little shaken up. She stroked Yuzu's snout with a sigh, letting the little snake wiggle from Saanvika's hands to hers.·༻✦ ─ · ✽ 𖤓 ✽ · ─ ✦༺·
