Children Of Chaos
My mom is great, she takes my side on this, but I can’t help but feel small and worthless. Like, what am I constantly doing wrong? How much more need I do, and act like an adult? When will it be normal? I’m just spiralling right now, and I don’t do it unless it’s bad. I’m kinda calmer right now that I’m writing, but it’s always something between an incredible sadness and a blinding rage. I want to isolate myself and stay with with them, but I just can’t.Mikaela Hendricks wrote: 19 Aug 2026, 21:08Damn... and your mom? Or don't you have someone to talk to about this?Eugenia Smyrnidi wrote: 19 Aug 2026, 21:05One of my family members is like a massive whiny toddler, even tho he is very very old. And for some unknown reason, he got really angry at me and his wife, and I love him dearly, but he did some pretty crazy stuff and I’m really sad now. This ain’t the first time this happens either way, and it’s just exhausting and awful. Usually he gets angry at me and just calls me uncouth when I just assert my position and respond to some of the irrational things he says. And I just feel really small right now and like I’m a little kid again. When I was younger, it was better. But maybe I was too young to even realise…Mikaela Hendricks wrote: 19 Aug 2026, 20:57BabyEugenia Smyrnidi wrote: 19 Aug 2026, 20:41Partly what I said above and partly that I’m now feeling exactly what I wrote in my reply and I also feel like I’ll explode. Sometimes the best thing is to step away, even when it hurts. And I know how much it can hurt. But sometimes it's the only way you can be in peace with yourself. As my mom says, it's a double job for them: get angry at you and then be happy again. You can reconnect with them later, but that peace is gold.Eugenia Smyrnidi wrote: 19 Aug 2026, 21:12My mom is great, she takes my side on this, but I can’t help but feel small and worthless. I literally can’t, I’m in a house and I’m a minor, I can’t just run in the streets. I’m kind of physically distanced, but I can’t do anything else. I guess it’ll pass.Mikaela Hendricks wrote: 19 Aug 2026, 21:15Sometimes the best thing is to step away, even when it hurts. And I know how much it can hurt. Hmm... If you don't live in the same house, stay in your house. If you do, lock in your room and don't speak to them until it's necessary. It may enrage him more, but it's the bast for you. And if he keeps saying all that even if you're not talking to him, let it pass. It's just words. That hurt, yeah, and stay, but if it's worthless for him, why not make them worthless for you too?Eugenia Smyrnidi wrote: 19 Aug 2026, 21:17I literally can’t, I’m in a house and I’m a minor, I can’t just run in the streets. I guess I’ll be more isolated, I always do that. And he doesn’t do it all the time, but it’s rather difficult to predict when. He loves me and I love him, but he is a weird guy too. But everyone is, I guess, and maybe I shouldn’t look at everything with pure logic? Because I think that if something is irrational, I must make it rational. Idk. I’m pulling a Mika for this one haha.Mikaela Hendricks wrote: 19 Aug 2026, 21:20Hmm... If you don't live in the same house, stay in your house.
