Christian Club NEW!

Ps, i was wondering, would you guys be interested in me posting a small bible lesson every week or daily, just to up everyone's faith bit, nothing big, a 5 min read max! Easy to read for everyone, also none native English speakers?

And @Colin McCoire would you be okay with that since you are club owner?

I wrote an email, a week ago, to a group of Poor Clare nuns, because I want meet one of them and talk a bit about my faith and my recent return into it.

One of them answered me and wanted meet me, but I postponed, saying I had before to study for an university exam due to July 28th. She said "ok" and to make me alive when I will be more free.

Exam now is gone and went good, and I have enough free time for a while for meet her.

But I am unsure and ashamed to write again to her an meet her... and I don't know why.

What I need to do?
Just write! There is no shame, there was no expectation! Your knowledge of faith is still more important then anything else!
Ok! I will do it tomorrow.
Thanks

And I am agree with the lessons :)

I want to know who I am. I want to survive this world. I am here now, and I want to live also after my death, through my knowledge and abilities.

Thomas Whiteside wrote: 31 Jul 2026, 19:31 hey, uh, i'd be interested in joining. i currently don't identify as a christian but i am trying to accept Jesus into my life. i won't go into specifics but i am a survivor of abuse and i am having a hard time grappling with the fact that God couldn't stop that. i'd love for someone to pray for me to help accept christ into my life.
Thomas, you came to the right place and I will definitely be praying for you, as I know others here will as well.

What I am going to say in response to what you grapple with, the idea that God "couldn't" stop the abuse, is to say that He actually "could" stop it, but He allowed it to happen anyway. That is just a hard truth about Christianity and life as a human being on this planet. It is hard, for everyone, and being a Christian or Muslim or Jew makes the human condition no easier by offering a get out of painful situations free card by virtue of simply being a Christian.

The fact that He allowed your abuse does not mean He doesn't love you, because He does. He truly does. He loves us all so much that He gives us the choice to believe in Him and follow Him, without forcing us to do so. Because we all have free will, we naturally live in a fallen world, and bad things happen. But the ability to choose is important. Faith is a daily act of will to believe that even in the worst of times and circumstances, God is with you and holding you in His hands. That act of will to believe and to have faith doesn't prevent all bad and hurtful things that may come your way, but it does comfort and help to soothe the soul when they do.

I could say so much more but I don't wish to overwhelm you. If you ever need someone to speak to, my owls are always open. And if you have any questions, this is a fantastic place to reach out to for guidance.

I am thankful that you found this place and reached out. That was not by accident, I assure you.
Quite literally what AngelFyre said, I don't think it could have said it more beautifully. I'll will for sure be praying <3

I think its a great idea!
To everyone - just to emphasize what others have been saying, know that God has such a great love for you. Sometimes it can seem like the rest of the world doesn't love you, but there is such comfort in knowing that there is a God in heaven that cherishes you so deeply. He's a forgiving and loving Father who just wants to hold his children close to his heart, you need to only let him.

Also if anyone wants to do an RP with Kennedy that introduces her to the Christian religion then owl me<3

Thank you so much @Evangeline Fleetwood! <3 Adding on (it's not formatted as pretty, haha):
A lot of anxiety and stress today come from the need to have control of your life all the time. It gets pretty scary with all areas of life, social, financial, emotional, etc. How can I wholly trust that the Lord has it all together?

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) - "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Even when I'm looking at my own life and thinking 'what the heck is going on?' I know that there are things that I do not see: what God is working on, what He sees, and everything in my life that He has already factored in. It's a leap of faith, but all it takes is to lay down my burdens and let Him take care of it.

I don't have the power to have control, but God does. I am weak, but God is strong. That is how I can trust. God never breaks His promises. Even if you can't see the way, the Lord has everything under control.

Have a blessed day/night!
