An Apology to Quinn Root
Hiya Ollie,
I know that we have not interacted much with each other, other than the time you were on staff as the Ilvermorny headmaster. I remember enjoying reading your posts as Oliver and as Sunday. I understand your feelings about the close-knit groups. I am sorry to hear of your desire to leave the site. I wish you well with how life progresses for you irl, and I hope you take care of yourself. I hope to see you return at some point, if you wish to. Best of luck!

Sunny,
My beloved, beautiful friend. Your departure hits me very hard. You have been a constant while I’ve been on site. Your ability to make me laugh and take me out of a difficult mental moment is unmatched. Your obsession with comic books was one of the sweetest things I ever experienced on the internet. Every time I opened up our shared server, I looked forward to seeing the pictures of your new comic books, and your pure joy.
I’m sorry that not only have you been through rough patches IRL, but also on site. I’m sorry that this site has become a place you no longer feel safe and connected to, a place comfortable for you to spend your time. I’ll miss laughing about silly plot ideas, or coming up with ways to make Oliver hate Alyss. I’ll miss being able to read your RP’s and just enjoy the depth of your characters. I’ll miss seeing your OOC posts on site and laughing to you about your grammar mess-ups and typos.
You have been someone that I’ve never even considered existing on site without, and to try is heartbreaking. I’m happy you’re making this decision and that you’re taking care of yourself. I’m proud that you recognized what you couldn’t handle and you’re listening. You’re one of the most remarkable people I have ever met Sunny, and I will always and forever cherish the moments we shared on h.io.

Oliver,
I was going to say this to you, but looks like you beat me to it.
Like I said in my goodbye message, reading yours especially in the community section, was like a sequence of nods. It seemed so similar to me that you too didn't really feel like part of the group. Reading yours also helped me to realize it was for my own good to go ahead and take an extended break. I know we stopped interacting much after the mentorship was over, but you and Kaitlyn both helped me a lot figuring out how the site worked. And for both I thank you.

I just went through and read all of your posts again, and now I’m crying. All of them are so very sweet and I appreciate you all that read my insanely long post. And I’m sorry if you could relate.
This is what I’m going to miss about site. <//3 all you sweet internet strangers.
And again Lillian, so very sorry. I’m glad I helped you where I could, mentorship was one of my favorite things. And I can’t believe I forgot to mention it. I’ll keep it brief as I’ve said so much already. Being a mentor was one of my favorite parts of site, and one of the places I found it easiest to ask questions and talk discord wise. Mentors are an amazing addition to site, I’m glad I could help there when I did.

Oliver/ Quinn
We've not interacted much but your presence was appreciated to me, not as a member of staff but just as a user on site. When I was new and quinn had kiera knightley as their pfp. I'd always wanted to reach out but was much to shy to accomplish that, both when you were quinn and when you were oliver. I somewhat regret it and there may have been times where we butt heads, or not, I do not remember a sour memory that involved you.
I only remember you as the cool comic book person who, while i never completely reached out to, but heard from others that you shared an immense love for comic books. It was fun to find someone interested in the same things as me.
I'm happy that you're making a choice that is better for your mental health considering all that you've had to deal with, but I'm awfully saddened by the events that led to it, not just the AI but as you said, an inability to find a friend group does impede someone's chances to be on Hio in a healthy and happy manner.
I hope life and whatever other community you find treats you much better than Hio intentionally or unintentionally did. You're such a ray of sunshine wherever you go that you deserve nothing but pure joy and happiness. I was not very close with your friend group or you but I know who they are and their departure along with yours affects me and the rest of the members on site.
You were a joy to have around and I hope you get nothing but happiness in your life, I totally relate to your feelings regarding your OCs, we all keep a part of our creations within ourselves and I'm deeply hurt with the events that may be that lead us to where we are.
Please take care of yourself and continue being the amazing person you are. I hope that one day Hio can turn into something that would again feel like a home and comfort space to you, and that you may find a sense of belonging here as you would in any other place, and we get to see sunny return.
But I also understand how deeply you've been hurt and respect your decision to do what you are doing. Please continue being awesome, Hio is a good site, but you're an amazing person and you'll find loved ones and a friend group whereever you go.
I end this with regret for not reaching out ever, despite how much I wanted to be your friend, and now that ship has sailed, all I'm left with is sadness. But take care, stay safe and keep being you

An Apology to Quinn Root
Dear Quinn!
Sorry not sorry, but to me you shall always be Quinn!
I know we fell out of touch a bit after you deactivated Quinn, but I've followed your progress and growth here even after that.
You were one of my first friends here, and an early writing partner. You might cringe when you look back at Quinn's adventures, but I had a blast wtiting with you! I still remember that crazy thread we had going in the classroom when Quinn explained to Colin & Charlie that she's a metamorph! And exploring the abandoned toilets together and chilling out on the grounds. Even our exchange about house elves, that was after I'd been here only a few weeks!
It's true that I felt a disconnect when Andre and Oliver came along. I suppoae that's natural, though. Those characters had their own stories and their own friends and, well, I reckon Colin wasn't part of that. In his heart, his story was intertwined with Quinn's.
And when you joined staff, I was indeed very proud! That was a big step to take! And you've grown a lot since you started here years ago!
And now that you're heading away from Hio onto your next great writing adventure, please know that I will miss Quinn's writer here even as Colin misses Quinn herself!
Please don't be a stranger! Hio has its ups and downs, as any community does. You'll always be welcome here! And if you decide to ever come back, Quinn, please give my next gen a holler! I'd love to write with you again some day!

QUINN!!!

Dear Sunny,
I am so sorry that it has come to this.
Many parts of your story resonated with me, such as not knowing how dear a first character is and having difficulty keeping up with chats.
I know I have said this, but I was truly amazed when first I stumbled across your characters and thought “I have to RP with this person!”
Yet I did not. I regret being too shy to reach out to you back then, but I am so grateful that our paths still crossed once more before your departure. Speaking to you has been such a delight and I hope you know that you are an amazing and hilarious person with incredible insight.
I understand why the community does not feel welcoming and even though you are leaving, please know that I will no longer be too shy to reach out to you!
I hope that you will find joy in writing away from here and please take care of yourself
