Ravenclaw vs Slytherin: Match 1

It wasn't continuing in a good way. At least Edward got his spell well done, aimed correctly and it hit his target: The wand of their opponent flew out of the opponent's hand. But Edward had almost no time to enjoy this small win. The next thing he 'saw' was darkness. A blindfold spell. That wasn't good at all. He didn't really manage to see how his team mates were doing but he hoped they were fine.

Day 1 - Morning slot
While half of the duelists were somehow incapacitated, there would be little time for rest and recovery. The other half was still casting.
And it wouldn't be a good upper year duel if there wasn't at least one cracker jinx in a bout. Mahlioz would do the honors this time around, aiming it at the only full-witted Bird. Jack would opt for something a tad more subtle, an Aqua Eructo, also aimed towards Mylo. And Mylo would make sure not to waste any time casting a Ventus towards Hanako.
While the other three duelists struggled with each of their own afflictions, spells flew and made contact. Mylo's ventus would become but a whisper in the wind, as it flew over Hanako's shoulder. Sadly for him, a missed spell would be his last cast of the duel. Water and crackers would spark and erupt into the boy. Sending his piste side.
"PAUSE!" The duel would be called to a halt as the poor student was carted off the piste by mediwizards. Gyle would give a quick glace to the remaining duelists before calling for the match to "RESUME!"

It felt good to be back.
As the sensation and control returned to his body, Cassius lifted himself quickly to his feet and got his bearings. It was unfortunate to see one of his teammates being removed from the duelling piste, but that brief pause to the duel gave him a moment to gather his thoughts and footing. He passed a reassuring nod to Edward who was still on their feet.
Eying their opponents, Cassius prepared for whatever was to come next.
Action:
As strategized.
WANDMAKER (ROUGAROU HAIR)Reducio• 10% of the damage done by a "dark" spell is done to a target that was successfully hit by a dark spell every round for the duration of the thread. This is considered to be "bleeding" and can be countered with the bandaging charm.
• In Duelling: This bleeding effect is limited to 4 rounds. If hit by another dark spell in the meantime, the bleeding effect is replaced with the new one.
• On a critical success with a "dark" spell, a second target (only if defined by the caster before this has been rolled) can be targeted, if no secondary target is declared then nothing happens.
• -10% damage done with non-dark spells.

Jack had to admit he felt a little sorry for Mylo. Not only was he the youngest duelist participating in their duel, but his team was kind of taking advantage of that fact by attempting to knock him out first of all his teammates. They succeeded, too, and Jack knew a thing or two about being the first one out. Heck, he had even less stamina than Mylo did; it was one of his most major flaws as a duelist. However, as a younger duelist, Mylo had more time to win more duels. Jack did not. This would be his last duel as a student at Hogwarts and he intended to do all he absolutely could to win it.
He was surprised at how little Mylo's removal seemed to affect his teammates, but he supposed it made sense the Ravenclaws would keep cool and level-headed even under such circumstances. He admired that about them and their practical intelligence. Still, he knew he had to stay on his toes because after Mylo (or maybe even before Mylo), Jack had a feeling he was the weakest link on the dueling piste. He couldn't afford to let down his guard then just because they seemed to be having the advantage because he knew more than most just how quickly tides could turn.
"Nice job, guys," he told his teammates who he was proud of nevertheless. "Now we just gotta keep this up."

At Burnetts banter, Hanako didn't reply much except with a shrug and a smirk. 'better' was an understatement. He didn't know what was going on with Jack today. Was it the determination for their last duel? Hanako had long since had a duel he was striving to win for. Being more experienced with wins that were just in your grasps before it vanished than to actually win. If he never tried, there was less.. hurt in the process - right? No matter the result.
Hm... we'll see about that.
Brutal... rip to the kid. Hanako knew what it felt like- actually no he didn't he primarily survived most of his duels even if he didn't win them. He was only glad the Ravenclaws seemed to see it like it was another Tuesday. Would they be seeing Mylo after the duel ended? Regardless, it was better than to be pitied for it. Besides the little twerp casted a killer ventus with a teammates combo of limbo mist. He was a threat! Good Riddance.
The limbo mists was still in effect sadly, but thankfully it was easier to see incoming spells than when he was using a wand. Even feeling like his feet was on the ceiling, he still managed to get a hold of his wand - having half the mind to kiss it out of gratitude.
He did frown at seeing Cassius got up. Hold on - the spell was growing weaker anyway why had he looked like he was doing a perfectly precise movement of strength that got him out of the bind?

Ravenclaw vs Slytherin: Match 1

Mylo was down. Somehow, it had only been three rounds and Mylo was knocked out. Mahlioz winced as her spell hit them square and sent them to the hospital wing. As much as she enjoyed duelling, she had to admit the practice of going until you're unconscious to be quite harsh. Gods, they hoped their anguish on behalf of Mylo wouldn't weaken their resolve or duelling skills. It was always different when you were duelling a friend. But that had been good! They had done good! Their team was winning!
...She would go visit Mylo, after, if she could. If she was still alive, now that Cassius was back on his feet.

Edward successfully removed his blindfold but what he saw wasn't very happy. Mylo already got knocked out, his spell also missed. This was not going great. He looked at his other team mate. At least he was free again as well. Hopefully they had more luck now. It was really frustrating.

30th May 2026
Day 1 - Morning slot
A momentary pause in the chaos seemed to have been too much for the duelists. They wasted no time in resuming the fireworks.
Cracker jixes would fill the air, as each side sent a volley (or two) over at the others. Cassius would deftly duplicate his bundle of crackers, and light the snakes bright. His first cracker would find each of the snakes, while the second would only lick Hanako's cheek with radial damage. Jack would do similar, just without a second bundle. And like Cassius' first, would find all of the birds caught in it.
If you could somehow see or hear anything apart from the light show, a more subtle exchange of spells came from the other three. Well, two. Hanako would mumble some gibberish, produce no magic, and then be consumed by explosive crackers. Edward and Mahlioz, however, would produce some disabling magic. From Edward, a disarm that would catch the dazed Hanako and Mahlioz would send a blindfold towards Edward that would tickle his ear as it whizzed by.
Ears must have been ringing - but it seemed the Birds have began to peck back. Would the winds turn and carry them higher?

Ravenclaw vs Slytherin: Match 1

Cassius was wasting no time in making himself absolutely terrifying despite his loss of a teammate. All three of the Vipers were hit by his crackers, and Hanako had, on top of that, lost his wand to Edward. Even more unfortunately, Mahlioz's spell just missed - it had been so close, but Edward had dodged it just in time. Jack's crackers jinx was beautiful, thankfully, saving them from it being an entirely miserable round. It was okay, Mahlioz tried to convince herself. Not all was lost just yet.

He was not one to lose his cool during dueling. It is what it is. But when you're already feeling sick from feeling like youre feet are on the ground AND you have cracker jinx blasting in your face - AND it was that much hard to see that you only vaguely realise your wand is no longer in your hand - again - and the SECOND YEAR SPELL you casted so many times suddenly fizzle out right before your wand gets thrown out of your hand? Anyone would be reasonably annoyed.
