She spent hours observing them, drawing them, researching them, and returning them to their habitat. She also accompanied her mother to the medical center where she worked, helping as a translator when she could and becoming fascinated by the healing magic she practiced.
xxxxxAlthough she sometimes feels nostalgic for the family she never truly knew, she has learned to value life with her mother. She no longer expects her father to return; she simply accepts that if he had truly wanted to be a part of her life, he would never have disappeared.
