Backstory
Reducio
Until she was 9, she lived in Lebanon with her parents and an older brother whom she idolized, and followed around like a lost puppy. Then one day, tragedy striked. In the middle of the night, an electric fuse blew, and there was a house fire. she was the only survivor thanks to a neighbor who dragged her out at the last minute. The only stuff she had left now were physical scars, and a suffocating survivors guilt.

She was then taken in by her estranged maternal aunt who lived in London. Her aunt was an extremely superstitious woman who she only saw once every couple of years. Add to that that she kept trying to get her to ' just move on, that's what they'd want ' and why Layal spent all her days locked up in her room becomes very clear.

First Instance of Magic
Reducio
When she was 10, her aunt wanted to throw her brother's baseball cap away (the only physical thing she managed to save from the fire), ' to cleanse the house, and hopefully your spirit of old ghosts ' . That's when Layal finally snapped. Her aunt was thrown across the room, and the cap flew directly to Layal's hand.

Ace Knight grew up in a small countryside village in Ireland, where his days were usually spent exploring the woods, climbing trees, and finding things that most people would simply walk past. From a young age, Ace had a habit of being curious about everything. If there was a locked door, an old book, or a strange object hidden away, he always wanted to know what was behind it.
His childhood was mostly happy, though Ace was never the quietest child. He was energetic, easily distracted, and always getting himself into some kind of harmless trouble. His curiosity often led him into situations where he had to think quickly and find a way out

Character Backstory:

Ivory's dad was a wizard. Her mother is a muggle.

Her dad left when Ivory was young, just after her mother had discovered he was a wizard. He however did leave behind a few boxes of stuff such as quidditch posters, daily prophet newspapers, and other old stuff.

Ivory had never liked her mother. Her mother doesn't understand the wizarding world, so Ivory goes alone to shops.

Ivory likes a mix of grungecore and dark academia outfits. She supports the Holyhead Harpies quidditch team, but also loves the Montrose Magpies.

Ivory's mother has a small amount of knowlege of the hogwarts houses and even knows a few quidditch teams, but never gets too close to the wizarding world. Possible fear that it will tear her family apart once again.

First Instance Of Magic:

Her first instance of magic was when she was 9, unknowingly levitating a pot over a group of bullies picking on a small ginger kitten. The bullies ran shouting, scared by a plant pot flying at them. Her muggle mother wasn't impressed and Ivory saw a look of horror on her face that meant she hadn't inherited her mothers side of the family.

OK, you need an encyclopedia page here. We have a nifty guide that might help you. Also, we have a mentorship program that can help if you find the community or staff intimidating.

You will need to expand your backstory a bit because we are looking for 220 words in just your backstory and you have about 129 at this time.

Once you have made an encyclopedia and made this edit, we will review your account again, best of luck.

Character Backstory:

Yseult comes from a blended family of muggles and wizards alike, though none of her recent ancestors have been muggles. Her father, Nester Arand, is an only child and grew up in Boston, Lincolnshire. His family are British; his father’s side, the Arands hailing from the East Midlands, and his mother’s side, the Lohmanns, from the East of England.

Yseult’s mother, Esther Arand (née Whippoorwill) has one younger brother and two older brothers. She grew up in Boston, Massachusetts; yes, the humor of the fact that Nester and Esther rhyme was not lost on either of them; neither was the fact that they both grew up in places called Boston. Rather, the latter fact was part of their initial pull to one another. Esther’s family are American; her father’s side, the Whippoorwills hail from Floyd, Virginia, and her mother’s side, the Pleasants, hail from Peabody, Massachusetts.

Yseult herself grew up as an only child in a cottage overlooking the water in the village of Robin’s Hood Bay, a fishing village visited often by muggle tourists. Every year, Yseult spends much of her summer travelling with her mother to visit her grandparents, her uncles, and her many cousins in America. The boisterousness of these visits is both exhilarating and overwhelming to Yseult. Normally the visits consisted of her older cousins excitedly telling her about Ilvermorny and all of their friends there, of her Pappy telling the story again and again of how his mother grew up in a shanty boat which would float down rivers and then sprout legs to walk through valleys, of her Uncle Dennis rounding up all the children to play flag football with him before ultimately stopping the game early and complaining of his bad knee while his wife, Sarah (a muggle) would roll her eyes. This year, however, had been different as her mother made an announcement; Yseult had thought it would be the exciting news that she had received her Hogwarts letter, but it was, in fact, that Yseult would soon become a big sister.

First Instance of Magic:
Reducio
Yseult's first instance of magic was when she was 4 years old. Her Uncle Lee (short for Leland) was visiting. As her mother tells it, her uncle had brought a stuffed niffler with a bunch of chocolate coins in its pouch for Yseult. Her father and mother both decided she should not have such an amount of chocolate before dinner, so they set it up high on top of the hutch in the kitchen and got to chatting. Yseult cried and cried and cried for the toy, but was sent off into the den. 40 minutes later, Yseult's parents found her in the den playing with the Niffler, all of the chocolate coins set aside uneaten. Yseult herself remembers being on the rug in the den, rather upset about the niffler toy being kept from her. However, when she went over to her bookshelf to look through a picture book... there the niffler sat, propped up against some books.

Morgan Faughn was born in Swansea, Wales to Elliot and Ciara Faughn, both muggles, on October 23rd, 2014. He has three siblings, his oldest brother Adrian and his two older sisters Mari and Gwen, making him the youngest child. He grew up in a small house that had just enough room to fit the six of them so it was a little cramped sometimes but it was always a place of warmth and love and he has always been close to his family, especially his sisters. His brother was quite a bit older than him so as he grew up he saw less of his brother but his brother still took time to try and be around him. His parents were always good to him, albeit a bit busy due to their jobs sometimes, his father being a school teacher and his mother a nurse. Although they were often busy with work, they tried their best to be their for Morgan and his siblings and so his family was and is very caring and rather close which made for a fairly nice childhood.

In school, he was a good student and did well in his classes but he always had a bit of a hard time connecting with others, not necessarily disliked but not particularly having any close friends as he just struggled a bit socially. It's perhaps why he was always so close with his sisters as they both always tried to include Morgan and always did their best to understand their slightly odd little brother. Of course, Morgan never minded being on his own and would often spend his time out in the backyard laying in the grass or sitting in a tree reading by himself to spend his time and so he would many days.

First Instance of Magic:
Reducio
Morgan's first instance of magic was when he was eight years old after a particularly rough day at school. He was upset because it had just been one bad thing after another as he had tripped at school and broken a small project he had worked very hard on, the trip causing a few classmates to have laughed and pointed as some school children do and also causing him to receive a rather harsh grade as the project ended up losing quite a bit of what was needed. On top of that, he had dropped his little keepsake journal in a puddle on his way home and many of the pages were completely ruined.

Frustrated, as soon as he arrived at home he went straight to his room tossing his ruined journal on his bed and trying to dry and fix the pages but to no avail. At the time, emotions were high as he was frustrated but also sad as his little collection journal that he worked so hard on was falling apart. Believing there was no fix, he sat on the floor against his bed on the verge of tears as his frustrations threatened to poor out when he thought he heard the sound of pages flipping. Confused, he looked back to were he had set his journal on the bed and found it open but the pages were dried and the keepsakes were fine, almost as though nothing had happened although the outside of the journal was still a little rough everything inside was now completely salvageable and alright. Of course, being an eight year old who witnessed such a thing eagerly rushed to show his mother who simply believed that perhaps Morgan had just overestimated how damaged the journal had been and simply just smiled and patted her son's head at the time despite her son's insistence to which, Morgan himself even believed for a time maybe he had just been so frustrated that the journal hadn't actually been damaged as badly as he had thought. Of course, eventually he would learn that that was not the case but that would come later.

Name : Jen Noor
Creature status Human
School Year 1
*∧ ⧓ ∧*
⁽(˶> ᎑ <˶) ⁾⁾゚
*〇☕🫖ency
Backstory :
Reducio
Jen's life before Hogwarts almost follows that of any other British child's.

Jen Noor was born on a dreary day in May 2015. Zain Malik had left One direction, David Cameron won the election, and Jen's Mother had recently divorced and mortgaged a new house.

Together Jen and her mother lived a quiet, simple life. Jen was a quiet baby, and then child. She knew loss from an early age. Jen and her mother accompanied her grandmother in her final days in the hospital, seeing her off when she passed.

She lives in a 2 bed terraced house with a quaint garden she often likes to disappear into. She started nursery when she was 3. Her mother often struggled to socialise her - Jen preferred talking to fairies. She never had friends that weren’t imaginary.

Sometimes these friends weren't the friendliest. Jen was 6 when she saw a woman’s face flash by in the bathroom mirror as she walked past. The woman’s pale face was thin and her lips were pursed, as if displeased by her appearance.

When Jen was 6 and a 1/2, she tripped over a stick and woke up outside to find she had tripped over a stick in real life.

One night something pinched her leg when she slept.

She woke up to the pinch in the dead of night. In the corner of her bedroom a shadow lingered for too long. It grew bigger until it looked as if it would pierce the light. When the light fell over it, a dark nose emerged, with smiling cheeks and wide white eyes that glinted in the light. She squinted at it and it sped closer, its features twisting in glee.

It stopped as if barred by something invisible, standing stooped, hovering over her body. It opened its mouth over her ear, as if to say something, and then it was gone with a sharp groan back into the shadows. She lay frozen under the covers, eyes wide open until sleep took her in the early hours of the morning. The shadow man was forgotten when she woke up.

On the playground the next day, a man made of flesh stood still as a statue across the road, staring. His eyes didn’t move to follow her, but when she looked back, they were directly on her again. No one else saw him. She glared at him in defiance, and he grinned maniacally.

When she approached the metal fence, the man’s features twisted into something unnaturally happy. He rushed forward against the bars, and she rushed back.

She never saw the flesh man again. The shadows still moved in the corner but never approached. Sometimes in her peripheral a shadow flickered, but when she looked it was gone.

Years passed and Jen was 9. The black cat from the coffee shop wasn’t in its usual spot on the way to school. In lesson, a shadow in her peripheral flickered. She could almost make something out of it this time.

It was a shadow man. He was dancing. When she turned to look, she twisted and fell out of her chair. He was sitting where her classmate had been. In a blink he was gone. Said classmate was absent that day.

In the bathroom she was washing her hands. Jen looked at her reflection, and she stared back at only herself. She never saw that woman again.

She turned to dry her hands. The shadow man was standing next to her. Its head twisted unnaturally to face her. Its grin stretched its cheeks into something unholy. His limbs jerked. He could only move backwards. His mouth opened with a gasp, as if to speak, but the groan that emerged sounded as if it was from something large and deep. He wanted to open it more. She could tell. Another shadow was growing. His eyes were wide and feverishly desperate as they stayed locked on hers. Through the haze of petrification, she noticed the shadow emerged from his lower back, unfurling into a scorpion-like pincer above them. The hairs on her arms stood on end. She felt his excitement. She knew he was milliseconds away from pouncing. But he hadn’t yet.

He didn’t move. She took a few steps backwards and his eyes followed sluggishly. She scrabbled at the door behind her and slipped through the crack. It took an age to shut, as if moving through honey.

The second she realized this, the door was moving through air again. It slammed shut with a bang and she bolted for her life down the corridors, drenched like a baptized baby. She ran back into the classroom and didn’t leave her teacher’s side until her mother came to collect her and she didn’t speak until summer came around again.

She forgets the details exactly, but she knew she watched a horror movie she wasn’t old enough to see. She misses the cat.

Nothing so bizarre as this occurred again until she was 11, when the neighbour's cat attempted to maul a snowy owl, dislodging a scroll that didn't truly change her life until a wizard carrying the same correspondence did a house-call.
First magical instance :
Reducio
ــــــــــــــــــ Jen's Fiom went like this. ـــــــــــــــــــ

One morning in the garden of her small home in Nottingham, Jen lay hidden in the unkempt grass that rippled like a green ocean wave in the wind. Clouds drifted lazily, as they basked in the sun, which melted hues of gold, pink and green into the vast pool of blue.

Jen was 5, the oldest she'd ever been. No one had known it was her birthday yesterday, but her mother came home from work with a caterpillar cake and a present. Jen was also the loneliest she'd ever been, and the thought of going to school that morning left a pit in her stomach.

When her mother came looking, her heart fluttered against her chest in a staccato rhythm. The neighbour's cat leapt off the fence with a sureness in his heart that Mother, who often fed him, had some snacks for him, but all Jen could think was 'nononononono'.

Relief washed over Mother's face when she saw her, settling instead on exasperation.

"Jen! Get out of the grass, you have school!"

Jen's panic rose into a bubble in her throat. It rose, and rose, and rose, until it screamed out,

"NO!".

The neighbour's cat jumped a meter in the air, and then some, and then some more. The cat yowled in horror, floating and wriggling it's legs in the air, until at around 3 meters high, it fell.

It landed on all four's with a stiff bounce onto the springy black mesh of the trampoline, puffed up and back curved in a perfect U shape. A few moments later, it stumbled off the trampoline and flew back over the fence.

Jen had no idea cats could jump so high, and neither did Jen's mother, who was in shock. The neighbour's cat was certainly an oddball. Thus marked the moment Jen's Mother became weary of the neighbour's cat, who now had to look elsewhere for extra meals.

- I need some clarification on your backstory. There is a series of horror tropes that define your character's childhood and possibly a magical incident with tripping over a stick and then waking up to trip over a stick in real life (not sure). Are these nightmares or something else. I am going to need some explanation or elaboration.
- We need your character's stats in this application - they are missing.
cat emoji The stick incident is a magical occurrence, although not the first.
cat emoji The horror stories are nightmares preceding bouts of insomnia, leading to visual hallucinations and microsleeping.

Nancy grew up with a single mother and never knew her father. When she was very little, she made a promise to herself that one day she would become so well known that her father, no matter where he was, would know her name.
Nancy had an older sister and a mother. The three of them lived in a cramped two-bedroom apartment in London. Her mom worked two jobs: high school English teacher and waitress. She had to keep up with their bills. Her sister was two years older, and by the time Nancy was five she was already in elementary school. Nancy went to Muggle kindergarten and elementary school. She was a good student, but nothing extraordinary. She was good at languages but struggled with sciences.
In her free time, Nancy went out a lot. With her occasional allowance, she would go to prestigious cafes just to order a cup of tea. She would sit there for hours, listening in on the conversations of wealthy people. She found out a lot of things she was never supposed to. But she also told herself that she was learning for the future – when she would be one of them.
The Hogwarts letter came as a surprise to Nancy, since her sister had not received one. The matter was overlooked until a representative of the school arrived and confirmed her acceptance.

First Instance of Magic:
Reducio
It happened when Nancy was eight years old. She was walking home from school when a boy rode past on a bike. The bike’s wheels splashed her with water from a puddle, and she became very agitated. Suddenly, the boy’s bike, now a few meters ahead, jolted to a stop out of nowhere and threw him out of his seat. He fell onto the concrete. As she passed him, the only thing Nancy noticed from the fall was a bloody nose and a few scratches on his arms. She walked by without saying anything.

Both Natarlia's birth mother and birth father were pure-bloods, but were not in any shape to look after her so she was fostered by a half-blood family while her birth parents ran away. She doesn't call her birth parents mum and dad. To her, those titles belong to her foster parents who care for her and raised her. Her father is Jonathan and her mother is Clara, and she has three older siblings and they live in Scotland. Her sister Bella is the oldest and is very calm and dependable and Natarlia goes to her when she needs help with things or feels overwhelmed or worried and needs peace and quiet. Her other two siblings are Ashley and Abel, who are twins, and share an incredibly close bond. They spend time together a lot, watching movies, playing games or chatting for hours about everything and nothing. Due to growing up in a half-blood family Natarlia was exposed to both the magical and muggle worlds, so her parents enrolled her into a muggle primary school, to make sure she got basic muggle knowledge and she made many friends once settling in. Outside of school, Natarlia spent time with the children of magical families that her parents knew, giving her the opportunity to learn wizarding customs. This allowed her to feel comfortable in both worlds as she grew up, and throughout her childhood, she learned the importance of family, loyalty and kindness. When she got her letter of acceptance to Hogwarts she was very excited and her family were very proud of her. She had grown up hearing stories about Hogwarts from her family and was so excited to experience the fun and adventure for herself.

Character Backstory:
Nessarose lived in a London mansion with her mother, father, and her two sisters. Her mother, a half-goblin named Tess, worked at Gringotts Wizarding Bank. When Nessarose was young, she would usually accompany Tess because she wanted her daughter to learn what her ancestors did. Tess's mum (Nessarose's grandmother) was a Pure-Blood, but her dad (Nessarose's grandfather) was a goblin. Nessarose's father, a Pure-Blood named Gideon, worked for the Ministry of Magic in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. Growing up, Nessarose didn't see much of her father because he was always caught up in work. However, when she was nine, Gideon worked shorter hours when he realised that he hadn't really gotten to know his daughter. Nessarose has two identical twin sisters, Vera and Jessalyn, who are both eight years old. Vera is the quieter one of the two, and she is more sensible than her twin. Jessalyn is a ferocious ball of energy, and she would never turn down a dare. She does not think before she acts, either. Nessarose has been homeschooled since she was five years old. She learnt the basic stuff that all young magical children learn. In addition to this, her mother taught her how Gringotts worked and showed her some of the items that the goblins had made. Nessarose's father would sometimes take her down to the ministry to show her how amazing it was to work there.

First Instance of Magic:
Her first accidental magic usage was when she was 4 years old. She was in her father's office when she bumped into a cupboard that had a vase on top. It was going to fall on her, so she braced herself for impact but felt nothing hitting her. It turns out that she caught it mid-air. Her father came back in time to watch the whole thing happen.

- To be a part-goblin you would need to complete an application to be a part goblin. Admittedly a lot of your backstory is basically this - she is a part goblin and had these experiences and this is where is comes from. The application length for part goblin is 500 words, so this would require some expansion.
- We would also need a backstory, this being facets of your life besides being part goblin, this should amount to at least 220 words. I would suggest writing about what your parents do for a living, if you have any siblings, what your house was like, as a half-breed (not half-blood) was there anything unique about your childhood. Were you home schooled? That sort of thing.
- I know you are asking for half-blood, but I think you mean half-breed with part-goblin. Simply verifying.
- I have no link to your encyclopedia page. Please add a link and make sure that the information conveyed here matches the information in your encyclopedia.
