Theseus looked over to Lindsey when she posed a new question. Deciding that this was not going to be the peaceful ride he had hoped for. Though considering the fact maybe given time. Something would amount out of it worth while. Besides it was a simple question. Politely inquired.
“Which house do you think you’ll be sorted into please?”
Theseus noticed Lindsey proceeded to ramble on about three of the four houses. Even mentioning her parents amoungst the quieted portion of her words. While Lilith flatly admitted she had no idea and fell silent once more. Though this time Lilith seemed to become a little withdrawn on top of the matter.

"I have not a single clue myself. I think it is quite common not to really know which house you belong in." He followed up. While he shrugged his shoulders. Theseus looked between the two girls with him. Trying his best to see where the conversation should go next. Before turning to Lindsey to see if she had anything else she wished to say, or if the next step was to simply enjoy some silence for awhile. Theseus then took a moment to glance out the window again while the train made the signal it was getting ready to depart.

As it was, Lilith was considered small for her age, both looks and personality; she is easily mistaken for a timid 9-year-old. She was a good 139 centimeters tall, which allowed her to curl up in her seat but not being too big for it, and that was what she did—partly concealing her face while also listening to the Theseus’s reply to Lindsey’s question;
I have not a single clue myself. I think it is quite common not to really know which house you belong in.
The topic of houses seemed to end at that point, for her it seemed; then an idea came to her, although a bad one and one that would definitely make her sound stupid...she was above asking such questions, she knew, but she decided she would do it.
Lilith put the silver ball in her palm, examining it; the silver glow was slowly turning gold. It had been her father’s creation, a rememberall gone wrong; it was designed, or rather changed, to remind her of important dates—her father was all about timetables and work....also some other things.
Nevertheless she knew what was coming; she was giddy with excitement, but she was scared, always scared, as it had been since the moment she moved to her grandmother’s house; but that didn’t matter...well did it....
She raised her head. Put her feet down and sat the way she was supposed to on a train. Fidgeted with the ball. Shifted.
Then she spoke. “Are you...you....both....are you....”
She gave up and started a second attempt. “All of you.....all of the people on this train.....a-are they.....all....” a pause. “Eleven?”
She knew it was a stupid question; it certainly sounded like one her father would scowl at; but honestly she didn’t know. I deserve to know, she thought. The stars and the moon told me.... she bit her lip to keep from feeling miserable; she could not see the stars and the moon, her trustful companions, from the train, there was only the ceiling. She felt trapped. But she had...friends? Theseus, and Lindsey, who she’d barely knew?
Well...are they?

Theseus looked to Lilith and then back to Lindsey. While he kept quiet for a moment. Trying to guage on Lindsey's state of being. She still seemed quite lost in her musings over which house would be most appropriate for herself. Theseus again was not capable of reading people amazingly well. Though she seemed fixed in her thoughts and he couldn't help though hope she was alright.

Theseus finally looked over to Lilith. Huh. Cute still. In the way an 11 year old would find cute. Like a cuddly bunny. Something which you couldn't help but find adorable and have a natural inclination to interact with and protect. It was likely the exceptional shyness she had towards her interactions and her naiveness towards most topics recently being discussed amoungst them. That and she seemed to try to be constantly putting forth an effort to become invisible. Whether it was intentional or subconscious Theseus wouldn't know.

Theseus finally shook his head. "No. I think I saw some older kids getting on as well." He finally stated. Before offering a slight smile to Lilith. Despite her shyness. She seemed to be quite the curious type. Curiousity was in his opinion an admirable quality. It meant a desire to broaden understanding and perspectives. Theseus wondered what was on her mind beyond the question she asked. While Theseus was not the best at reading personalities or emotional states. He could pick up at times when someone had a thought they were contemplating.

At that point she thought she would...what would you call it? She thought she would almost, almost, feel, sad? Lonely? Or confused? All were new things to her, since in her short isolated life before she had never dared make friends with these emotions. Still.
Lilith waited. Theseus, after a long pause, answered her question,
No. I think I saw some older kids getting on as well.
Which wasn’t exactly what she wanted to know; but it was still good information. She thought about what Lindsey had said earlier. She had asked them if they were “first years”. Which means there’s got to be second and third years, fourth and fifth years. That would explain the older kids. But it didn’t settle her doubts though.
See, she was ten.
Which was the thing she’d wanted an answer for; she’d heard that people were only allowed to go to Hogwarts at age eleven. She didn’t understand at first why she could be ten. Then she had understood, along with the slight glowing gold of the silver sphere. Lilith had forgotten her birthday—she’d assumed it was somewhere in May, or something. This sphere told her otherwise.
She thought bout how to tell them. She was sure this was a rare case. But she won’t be a rare case, not after two minutes.
“I’m-I’m only...just turning 11....today.” She stammered.
Pause.
“In two minutes actually...”Lilith was surprised this came much easier. She decided that “conversation”, whatever that is, might just be good.

Lindsey listened attentively to Lilith and Theseus on their point of sorting. Interesting. She thought.
Actually no one could know that where you’ll be sorted into. So do the wealthy and ancient family ones. We all might be different from our family members, as we’re not “copied” by them. Lindsey admitted that there were exact father and children in the world, but our life was determined by ourselves. Nobody should control it, or could.
“All of you.....all of the people on this train.....a-are they.....all....” a pause. “Eleven?” Lilith asked.
Super curious girl. Lindsey thought. Maybe she came from a non-magical family? Or maybe she just wanted to find a topic to talk? Lindsey didn’t know, but she regarded this as a pretty cute question.
Before Lindsey could speak, Theseus replied. “No. I think I saw some older kids getting on as well.” He said.
“Yeah.” Lindsey added. “There are seven years at Hogwarts! So I think the students on this train are up to 17 years old. But the elder ones have been sitting with their own friends I guess.”
Their own friends…Lindsey felt a little upset when thinking this. She really hoped that she could regard Lizzie, Lilith and Theseus as her friends.
Could she? She asked herself.
Maybe.
They all seemed nice. Though it’s different types of nice. You could say Lizzie’s lively, while the other two were quiet. All suited Lindsey well though.
She suddenly felt herself as lucky. Yeah, lucky enough to have friends on the first day of Hogwarts! Exciting, isn’t it? She asked herself.
The answer was yes. A huge yes, by the way.

(Sorry actually this post goes before Lilith’s——her new post came out before mine!)

Now both girls seemed like they had questions floating about their minds. As Theseus looked between the two of them. His smile turning back to it's calm facade. While he was honestly quite puzzled. Lilith mentioned her birthday was on the doorstep. To which Theseus gave a soft nod. "Well, happy birthday." He expressed to her in a calm voice. He doubted this was related to the question he was quite sure Lilith was trying to place into the air.

Theseus looked to Lindsey and then back to Lilith. Both girls seemed latched onto some principle which they were trying to process through and it left them looking.. Disturbed? Must be a very deep question and Theseus wasn't sure how to best address the matter. Other than finally breaking his following stance and take the lead.

"You both look like you have something weighing on your minds. Do you mind me asking what it is?" He expressed. Again, emotionally. Theseus was a hit or miss type of individual. Though when it came to a person being lost in thought. He was usually able to pin point that action. His father had a tendency to get lost in thought.

Honestly, his father's main interactions with Theseus. Was quite limited and often times was to either condition Theseus on his self control, or to try and instill principles and information onto Theseus. He knew his father cared in his own way. Though having Theseus amoungst his home had not been the original plan, apparently some incident to his mother when he was younger. Was why he lived in England with his father. His father was a man of study and as such required a lot of alone time to undergo his work.

She was playing with the sphere again, it glowed for about twenty seconds and then the glow vanished. Lilith blushed at Theseus’s congratulations, and got lost in her own world.
She heard them saying something. Lilith looked up.
((OOC: lets assume the train is moving rn))
Theseus was asking them a question. It was the strangest she’d heard yet;
You both look like you have something weighing on your minds. Do you mind me asking what it is?
Lilith thought about it. Of course, she was disturbed and fascinated by everything, since she had had an isolated life, with no other people, no mail, no shops, no travel vehicles. She learned the world through books, though only reading about things while not experiencing them had caused the young girl to not understand, in fact, half of the things she learned about. However at that time it was fine with her.
Now, it seems, it was not.
Everything was new. And according to basically everyone, she is to live at the school, one full year, only going home during holidays and in the summer. And she would have to wait for her father’s reply whether or not she gets to go home during holidays. Which means she would have to get used to—all of this, and cope with it, one, whole, year.
A whole year.
Lilith shivered at the thought.
She thought about answering his question. But why should her?
Well, why shouldn’t her?
She was so confused, she decided to answer him; after all, in the past, whenever she wondered if she should do something, she ended up doing it, and there was no trouble.
“I...this all....is....kind of new, I guess....” she muttered, looking down. She stuffed the sphere into a black cloth bag she’d brought with her—for whatever reason she had forgotten—sure that she won’t need the item now. “I...before....only lived in a place....in the woods, or the mountains....I don’t know.....are there mountains in London? It’s-its just....there’s....nothing there, none of....” she gestured around helplessly “none of this....there was only my g-grandmother...and the sky and everything in it.....and the house we lived in....I was happy,” she said miserably. Lilith tried not to feel sad about it. Her grandmother! She had been sick when Lilith left. How is she now? What would happen to her? Lilith looked up at the dull ceiling, and once again curled into a ball on her seat.

“Happy birthday Lilith!” Lindsey said merrily to Lilith.
No wonder she looked so young. Like a…ten-year-old as Lindsey supposed? Lilith definitely shorter than herself——actually all the Springhalls were all pretty tall.
“You both look like you have something weighing on your minds. Do you mind me asking what it is?” Theseus asked.
Lilith expressed her nervousness (at least Lindsey thought so) to the others.
“ Um for me nothing really——just excitement and expectations I guess.” she replied, smiling.
That’s pretty true for her. She needed nothing to worry about——growing up in a quite wealthy wizard family, being loved by parents, grandparents, brother, cousins and so on. Lindsey was the youngest Springhall in her family, so her childhood was really great.
Maybe she’s only in her deep thoughts on sorting. It’s a quite struggling thing for her——might because Lindsey’s a pretty proud girl. She often liked to make sure that the one she had chosen was the “best” or suited her best. That’s, well, a disadvantage of her. She’s pretty struggling on things.
“Hey Lilith, be cheerful! Our new life——or adventure is beginning now! Can’t wait to get to the classes and dinners at Hogwarts——at least I’m longing to them!” she laughed.
Let the bothersome sorting away! She’s now with her new friends, and it’s no matter for her to be sorted anywhere——as long as she’s with them.
She would be, wouldn’t she?

Theseus was a bit concerned about how Lilith responded. Though he relaxed.back and let Lindsey take the reign. In regards to reassuring responses. When she spoke he glanced over to Lindsey. Well.. This new step was certainly going to be intriguing and possibly perplexing. Though he wasn't sure about amazing. He would wait to see how events unfolded before making up his mind regarding his opinion of them.

Theseus glanced back out the window. To watch the shifting scenery. While the train gradually advanced the newly formed trio to their new lives. He wondered a lot of things at this moment. Would he consider these two his friends? He definitely had a friendly demeanor towards them. At least in his own way. Though he wasn't sure whether he would come to trust the two. It wasn't anything against the two girls in the cart with him. It was just something he struggled with. There was reasons his people skills were lackluster.

"So.. Do any of you know any spells or have any classes you're looking forwards to?" Theseus finally inquired. While still looking out the window. "I am both interested in Transfiguration and Defense Against The Dark Arts." Theseus continued onwards. "Though charms and potions also sound intriguing." He noted while thinking about it. Really there wasn't a subject Theseus wouldn't be content investing studies into. Though these ones stood out for personal reasons.

Theseus was semi-aggressive underneath his calm interior. Though not in the contexts of a violent or cruel individual. Theseus was in most instances a neutral or kind individual. Though he did have a underlying vengeful side, though only when it came to the context of intervening with wrong doings.. And in his youth. While he could avoid breaking the rules. It didn't mean he was immune to getting caught up in a moment of emotion and even finding a thrill in engaging in conflict to resolve a problem. Whil his intent wase not generally to be the aggressor. Theseus was determined to make it so he was capable of laying down order when it was needed and there was no sensible option beyond immediate and direct intervention.

She waited for a reply after A ghost of a smile was on her lips when Lindsey told her to relax and “be cheerful”, as she said. Lilith couldn’t very well be as “cheerful” as Lindsey, of course, but she was trying. After all, obviously both Lindsey and Theseus had more experience in the world than her. So she figured she should listen to them.
Theseus, who seemed like he was trying to start a topic for conversation, posed a question:
So.. Do any of you know any spells or have any classes you're looking forwards to?
Lilith, of course, did not. She doesn’t even know the classes’ and spells’ names. She listened as he went on,
I am both interested in Transfiguration and Defense Against The Dark Arts. Though charms and potions also sound intriguing.
Dark Arts. She’d heard that term somewhere. She paid no attention to it then. Lilith was busy thinking of an answer; since, there was so much time before the train reached the school, and she did not know the classes. She thought “charms and potions” sounded great, because it sounds like the little things her grandmother did back home; the little things she was familiar with. She did not know what Transfiguration is. The term is simply alien to her ears, though she did remember seeing the word on a book, but she had forgotten the details. The Dark Arts sounded like something her dad will do. Come to think of it, Lilith didn’t even know what her dad does for work. She decided to not judge Defense Against the Dark Arts, whatever that is.
Then an idea came to her. Her grandmother had said that Hogwarts was like a castle. That meant it had tall towers. And tall towers meant—
“Um...i-is there an astronomy class?” Her voice was soft, barely a whisper, but as she talked you can notice that she had an interesting accent. Actually, it sounds like she has no accent at all. Like speech washed by the waves, or holy water, or some other liquid, cleansed until it is perfectly smooth. It is like that. “I....I like to watch the stars.....” she whispered.
