I absolutely love it so far tbh I had to get all the books for Christmas last year so I could actually finish the series and I decided to re read them because I know that I missed out on the pictures because I originally listened up to maybe the 2nd book on audio. Tho honestly i'm going to say sure the movie had a great soundtrack but some of the characters were mixed up both times. Which made it really confusing after I had listened to the first book Even though The movie was technically my introduction to it. Yes there are two versions of the movie Though personally, the first one is my favorite. slightly related here What are your thoughts on VFD? and what does it mean to you?Colette Sanchez wrote: 10 Jul 2026, 01:45I’m sorry for intervening in your conversation but Miss Peregrine’s series is such a good read! I suggest you read the entire series as well since it’s got a very good plot after the first book. Quite sad the movie didn’t make space in the ending for the following parts of the series. What are your thoughts on it so far? 👀Lotus Lively wrote: 10 Jul 2026, 00:12Ohhh I still need to finish reading it but first I gotta finish reading Miss Peregrine's home for peculiar childrenMikaela Hendricks wrote: 10 Jul 2026, 00:10Percy Jackson! Really? I never knew there were to versions. I think I’ve only watched one. And I agree, I also watched the movie first before going to the books and I was surprised with the changes they made—like the peculiarities and ages of some children. And, if I recall correctly, the twins in the movies were only in the pictures in the book. They were never really under Miss Peregrine’s care. What is the other version, though? I’m quite curious now.Lotus Lively wrote: 10 Jul 2026, 02:12I absolutely love it so far tbh I had to get all the books for Christmas last year so I could actually finish the series and I decided to re read them because I know that I missed out on the pictures because I originally listened up to maybe the 2nd book on audio. I believe for the second movie it was just remade but I can't really confirm if I'm right because I've not seen it yetColette Sanchez wrote: 10 Jul 2026, 02:34Really? Remade? So it’s just the same as the original movie that was released with same cast (and swapped ages and peculiarities)? I might have to look into that later since I got curious lolLotus Lively wrote: 10 Jul 2026, 02:38I believe for the second movie it was just remade but I can't really confirm if I'm right because I've not seen it yetColette Sanchez wrote: 10 Jul 2026, 02:34Really? Anyway, I hope they actually make a remake of the entire series. I wouldn’t mind if they ended in Library of Souls since, personally, the series itself would have been alright ending as a trilogy. If they do make a remake, they should at least keep it as closely accurate to the books because it’s rather odd seeing the characters represented differently from what I’m accustomed to in the books. 💀

Personally I would love to see episodes that are kept closely accurate to the book like Netflix did with the eps of ASOUE yk?
