Minyu McCullen wrote: 24 Jun 2026, 22:59 How does post count update? If I click on my profile it says 14, but if I actually click and count every post it's like 30+.
At first I assumed it was because it's in the same thread, but it seems like it updates for every post for other people? Or is it only for how many threads you've posted in? I don't think it's because it needs time to update, bc I just added a post to my ency and then it went up by one. (but I have posted in my ency before so shouldn't it not go up bc it's the same thread??)
I'm not stressing over it, I'm just trying to make sense of the system <3
Most posts are usually counted! However what you post in the game room threads (which I noticed you did) dont count! I assume you're counting you're total including those posts... try posting in your house ooc room threads :)
ahh, that makes sense! I think I just read an old FAQ that said games room and ooc chats was a good way to get your post count up, but that must've been removed since then? Or I just read it wrong lol

Another question
When I put in my ency application in the index, I read back on what got people approved, and it said you had to add spells+potions in your trunk. Is that still correct information? Because now reading this thread, I've learned that you can't edit your trunk without going through staff, so do you have to do that every time you get a new spell or potion, or is that outdated info? Sorry if I'm asking too much!
You no longer update your trunk with spells and potions, so that information is outdated, unfortunately.

The only changes you would request for your trunk are changes to your stats, abilities, and if you want to change the code of your trunk (within defined limits).

Maybe they used to be counted before; but not anymore!

Regarding your new question; nope! You no longer hav to include spells and potions in your trunk post. You may add them to another post! You trunk post must only contain your stats and abilities (if you've applied)! I hope this answers your question!

Oh, you've got nothing to apologise for!

Nope, you can just add to your current one and update your year if you have it mentioned.

Question; if I submit homework before the end of June, but it is graded later, in July, will I still get the house points?

I believe so. Staff can tell the date and know you still did it in the previous year. Though that is unlikely, because they try their best for an empty grading pile at the end of each month.
