Regarding the spiders – I will look into it in a bit, but we do have spider decor for the site during the Halloween season. I’m aware that some of the backgrounds got messed up with the new updates, so I think this may be related. Just a hunch.

For adult abilities, does it work the same way? As in do you still get 1 per year?

Each year, adults can chose between a new ability or +5 stat points, until they reach the maximum cap in total (110 for human adults and 105 for magical races adults). If they choose an ability, the maximum stat point number they can get is reduced by 5.

It's not much of a perquisite. It just states that you need to have enough money, but the amount is so high, you will likely only obtain the amount by Y7 (but i do know someone lower then y7 who does have the broom)

Basically it’s a twink broom which means that all years can use it and the abilities it has regardless of it you are in year 7 or not even though the prerequisite is year 7. If you purchase it and use it, you can use any stat boost and abilities it gives depending on the sport and position you play. (the same goes for Silver Arrow and Moontrimmer)

I understand why it’s confusing. There is no condition to fulfil in order to get one, other than having enough money. You can have one regardless of your year.

The description is simply implying that your character likely has one due to having a lot of money or that someone likely gifted it to them because of its high value. Of course, you are welcome to be creative with why your character has obtained with broom.
