Interacting with @Aurelia Yang
Autumn pondered at Aurelia's example of Alice in Wonderland.

"Well, that is a good example, and the platform does seem to resemble a portal, maybe simply not exact to the one in Alice in Wonderland, due to the fact that Alice had to use magic, what with the "Eat Me" cookies and all that, whilst here we simply have to be magic, not use it. So far, I find the platform to be a sort of test, to see if you truly believe in magic, if you trust the magic world, enough to actually walk into a brick wall willingly. I also believe it is absolutely and utterly idiotic, and the person who thought this was a good idea was drunk, high and/or purely stupid. My personal opinion is that instead of this folly of an entrance, there should be clearly marked entrance, which can be viewed only by those of magic. A door which Muggles cannot see, but wizards can."

She pulled out her pocket watch from her pocket and checked the time.

"Still, we should probably get going. Would you like to continue this conversation inside of the train, maybe?"

“Mother hurry!” Adela yelled as she quickly walked through the train station. “I’ll miss the train to hogwarts!”
Her mother rolled her eyes and continued walking at a slow pace. Adela know her mom did not believe their actually was a school called hogwarts. She thought this was a big waste of time. After many hours of begging (and reminding her parents of the strange things that always happened to Adela) her parents finally said she could go. But that didn’t mean they really expected her to go, they didn’t believe in magic. They had no answers for the odd things that happened to Adela, but they insisted it wasn’t magic.
Finally Adela and her mother reached platform 9. Adela looked around. Where was platform 9 and 1/3? She saw a platform 10 and 9, so where was platform 9 & 1/3?
“Haha! What did I tell it was all one big joke! Their is no platform 9 & 1/3! And their is no Hogwarts!” Her mother sneered.
Adela felt her eyes tear up, it couldn’t be a joke. “Maybe we are at the wrong train station?” Adela whispered
Her mother laughed again “no this is the one.”
Adela turned away from her mother’s laughter, she hoped her mom did not see her tears. As she turned she bumped into someone, she looked up to apologize. It was a little boy.
“Why are you crying” he asked
Adela quickly pasted a smile to her face “oh it’s nothing, I just can’t seem to find my platform.”
The boy smiled “I will help! What’s your platform?”
Adela didn’t want the boy to think she was crazy, plus he looked to be only six. Was he lost? “Umm...” she said “well mine is platform 9 & 1/3, as you can see is not a real thing. Are you lost? Whe...”
The boy cut her off “oh I know where it is! My mother and older brother just went through that platform.”
Adela was beyond surprised “really?! Could you show me?!”
He nodded and grabbed her hand. He led her in between platform 9 and 10.
“You just have to run through that wall” he said happily.
Adela felt her new found happiness disappear. Of course it was to good to be true. “Well umm... thank you...” she realized she didn’t know his name.
“Benny Atwood” he supplied. “Now my mom says you have to run”
Adela looked at him surprised “I don’t think I should run into a wall.”
Benny pushes her towards it “you have to.” He frowned and made puppy dog eyes “please try”
Adela didn’t feel like fighting, running into the wall would be the perfect ending of today. Maybe she could knock her self out, and forget about everything. She turned towards the wall... “WAIT” Benny yelled.
She realized Benny was right this was a bad idea.
“You forgot your stuff” he said.
“Benny this is silly I’m not running into a wall” Benny frowned.
“Ok but look at this wall, come here, come closer.”
Adela picked up her stuff and walked over to Benny. Out of the corner of her eye she could see her mother walking towards her.
“Look really close” Benny said
“I see it fine Benny” Adela rolled her eyes
“No look close!” Benny said.
“Ugh whatever” Adela leaned so close her nose almost touched it.
And then Benny shoves her into the wall. Adela screamed and waited for the hard wall to scrap her. But it didn’t. She looked up and Infront of her was a train. She saw a sign that read “platform 9 and 1/3” Adela let out a super girlish giggle. She made it!
“Thanks Benny” she whispered, and making sure she had everything she walked towards the train.

Immediately as Lester's parents received the snow-white owl, holding the invitation letter, the duo urged the young boy to pack. With glee in their eyes, they knew the time was coming for Lester, their son, to experience the true wizarding world of magic.

"Tsk. Mom, and Dad really are hoping for me to go to this "special" school aren't they?"
He'd lose his breath, then proceeds to pack all his necessities from his family pocket watch to his old muggle kindergarten books, just to keep in memory of his teachers. He'd bluff out a sigh of relief, having every single need packed. Looking around his room once more, he'd gaze around if needed anything else needed to be packed. Satisfied, he reminisces about all the joyous days he had in the tiny, cramped but functional space.

Platform 9,3/4

As the parents arrived back at the same station which they entered as young wizards and witches, both become nauseous, remembering the path leading to the secret platform. The duo smiled at each other and begins to point out details of the platform that never changed. They were entranced by the past. As Lester tugged both adults back into reality, he questioned if they were going to do what they were saught out. Regaining somewhat control, they glided past muggles left, right, and center. With excessive walking speed taking effect, the trio eventually ends up at a brick platform, clearly seeing the magical purpose. Arriving on the spot, they saw various families dash into the wall, almost using it to teleport someplace else. Lester was utterly amazed, as the thought of a lackey summer school vacation disintegrated, and was only replaced with magical things. With the example being shown by other magical entrusted families, it was ought to be right Lester would give it a go. With this, he had to depart his two loving parents for a new world, a world he didn't expect to be literal, only of fiction.

"Oh Thank you, thank you, thank you!!" He'd exclaim like a crying whale. Lester never knew this was what his parents were preparing him for the whole time, then immediately was washed by feelings of emotions, mainly embarrassment for holding in grudges against his parents. With the stroking of his hair, his parents only responded with smiles of joy, laughter, and utter hugs. He knew at this school he had to make his parents proud, and that he wished to display. With this, he promised to uphold the Loller's name and to honor his parents. With a large smile signaling goodbye to his parents, he crossed into the wall, boarded the train, and headed for Hogwarts. He knew the road ahead of him was rough, but on this sunny day, Lester couldn't think of anything but his path forward!

"What time is it?" Lyra asked her mother, a hint of impatience audible in her voice. "10:50, dear" replied Lily, "you still have ten minutes, don't worry.". Her daughter nodded and bit her lip, grabbing a trolley and finding the area between platforms 9 and 10. Her mother had told her how to get to Hogwarts and the basics of magic, having gone there several years ago. The cool metal of the trolley felt good against her slightly sweating - because she was nervous, don't judge - hands. Lyra quickly walked towards the large, blank wall that separated the two platforms. As she looked at it, a sentiment of curiosity took over her nervousness. 'I'm so excited for this' she thought 'I really wanna meet magical creatures and be able to create light- It's so amazing that this sort of thing is even possible-' A sharp sound drew her back to reality as she flinched when her mother snapped her fingers in front of her. "Lyra, honey, are you okay?" The brunette turned toward her and smiled, nodding gratefully. "Yeah, thanks." Lyra tightened her grip on the trolley with one hand and Lily held the other one. They looked at each other and then got a running headstart, Lyra running faster than her mother, eager to see the other side of the barrier. However, the cautious side of her braced herself for some sort of impact, but she felt a warm rush of air and then stumbled, nearly falling if it wasn't for Lily, who caught her and steadied her.

Lyra slowly rotated on her feet, trying to take in the sight before her all at once. The platform was filled with the pleasant chatter of students and their families, either saying their goodbyes or making sure nothing was forgotten. And in the center of it all stood the gleaming Hogwarts express, patiently waiting for the right time to start moving.
A huge clock next to the wall they had just ran through made a loud sound, rather like a bell, and the little girl realized that she only had five minutes left to board the train. She looked back to her mother, who had been waiting for the brunette to come to her senses, and Lily quickly smiled, pulling Lyra into a tight hug. "I'll miss you and I promise that I'll send you new books, as long as you promise to read the classics I gave you." Her daughter rolled her eyes and nodded. "Fine, but I want the third book of that series I love. I'll write to you every week and I love you Mommy." She stood on her tiptoes to kiss her mother's cheek and the latter returned the gesture, then motioning for a Lyra to get on the train with her trunk and light blue bag. The brunette dragged her trunk and bag onto the train and waved at her mother, smiling before she disappeared inside as the train started to move, slowly speeding up as it left the platform. The girl looked around for an empty compartment where she could sit and read, wanting to finish a book she had started on the way to the station. Finally she passed compartments bustling with chattering children and sat in an empty one, leaning onto the window pane and taking out her book, quickly becoming engrossed in the story.

The day before
The day before September 1st Aurelia could barely sleep. She was thinking about all the friends she would meet and all the things she would learn, but more than anything she was excited to watch the Quidditch matches. Her dream was to become a professional Quidditch player, just like her mom and she was hoping that journey would start at Hogwarts. She spent the day playing Quidditch with her brother Jack, rereading "Quidditch through the ages" for the 10th time and packing her trunk.

September 1st
"It's the special day Auri! I hope you packed your trunk yesterday", her mum said while poking her head out from Aurelia's bedroom door. Aurelia groaned:"I did... did you have to wake me up so early? I had a great dream""You know its a long drive. Now get out of bed!", her mum replied tossing a sandwich at her,"There, that's for the ride".

King's Cross
Aurelia arrived at King's cross with her two brothers, her mum, and her dad. They had driven 3 hours from Godric's Hollow in Ministry cars. They finally arrived at a huge brown building that was bustling with people. She spotted two girls, chatting to each other, both had a trolley filled with huge trunks, just like Aurelia's. "Look dad! They are going to Hogwarts too!""Yes, I think you will find a lot of students here. Maybe your future best friends are around here too, but now is not the time for making friends. Oh Merlins Bathrobe, hurry up now Jack! You don't want to miss the train!" Aurelia's brother Jack spotted one of his friends and was trading chocolate cards with him. After a bit of hustling around, they finally made it to platform 9 and 3/4. Steam was enveloping Aurelia, then she spotted the train. The Hogwarts express was a beautiful red with the Hogwarts crest in its side. Like always, Aurelia felt a rush of excitement when she saw it, but this time she knew she was finally going to go on it. She spotted the clock hanging over her. 11.57, 3 minutes. She hugged her mum and dad quickly and said: "I promise I'll write as often as I can! I will miss you very much" Her mum smiled at her and said:"We will too. Go now before you are too late!". She glanced at them one last time and stepped into the train. She knew what lay ahead would change her life forever and she was ready for it.

"Aren't you excited?" Allie's mother asked her as they walked into Kings Cross Station. Allie nodded. She had been buzzing with excitement ever since she had gotten the letter from Hogwarts saying that she had been invited to go! Allie and her parents made their way through the large crowds until they made it to the wall right in between platforms 9 and 10. After glancing around the station to make sure no one was watching her very closely, Allie took a deep breath and stepped through the brick wall straight in front of her. It felt like she had been swallowed by something rather cold, and so she was relieved when she stepped back out into the platform. But this wasn't just Platform 9 or 10, no, this was Platform 9 3/4. Allie waited for her parents to step through and when they did, she grinned excitedly at them. She had been waiting for this moment since. . . well, since forever! And now it was finally here. The whistle blew and Allie rushed to grab her trunks. She hugged both her parents, and then boarded the train, quickly finding an empty compartment and going inside. From the windows, she could see both her parents, still standing there, even as the train left the station. Once they were out of sight, she settled back, but soon started to get lonely.

"Okay, Ainsley," Marshal and Ainsley walked together, Ainsley's sister Wren trailing behind them. "Now, when we get to the barrier between Platform 9 and 10, we're going to run straight at the wall, alright?" Ainsley stared at him for a moment, confused. Right at the wall? He smiled at her and patted her on the shoulder. "Sorry, bunny. I'd go with you, but I have to help Wren though."
"Oh, no," Wren said from behind us. "You go on through with Ainsley."
"Are you sure?" Marshal asked, stopping and turning to face her. Ainsley stared around. She'd never been in Kings Cross before. It was really busy today. Her eyes landed on the barrier Marshal had just mentioned and her eyes widened as she watched a boy and his family walk straight through the wall.
"Whoa," she whispered quietly, grinning. Marshal suddenly began walking again and Ainsley hurried to catch up, glancing back at Wren's retreating figure. "Is Wren not coming to say goodbye?"
Marshal glanced down at Ainsley, fury slowly disappearing in his eyes when he looked her away.
"I'm sorry, Ainsley," he said gently. Ainsley started to turn and run after her sister, but Marshal stopped her. "The train leaves at 11:00 exactly. I need to get you on the train."
"But I want to say goodbye to Wren," Ainsley argued. Marshal began shaking his bead before Ainsley even finished.
"We'll write to you, okay? Come on now. We don't have time," Ainsley glanced back once more and the followed Marshal, taking his hand before running right at the barrier. Ainsley barely had time to take in the train before Marshal was hurrying her toward it. He helped her onto the train, pulling her trunk into an empty compartment. Ainsley followed him back onto the platform, glancing around at all of the other students hugging their parents, or shouting their goodbyes from the train window.
"Be good this year, bunny." Marshal smiled at Ainsley, opening his arms. Ainsley hugged him tightly, suddenly unsure about getting back on the train. "Hogwarts is so much fun, I promise. You'll love it." He released her and nodded towards the train. "I love you, Ainsley. And so does Wren."
"I love you too, Marshal. Promise you'll write?"
"Of course, bunny. Go on, now." Ainsley hugged him once more and then turned, running back into the train. As she sat in the compartment, and looked out onto the platform, she noticed Marshal standing there still, smiling and waving.
As the train began to move, she waved back and the door to her compartment slid open, two girls entering.
"Hi, can we sit here?"
"Oh, er...sure." Ainsley looked back toward the platform, waving once more at Marshal before settling in for the ride to Hogwarts.

Kate sighed loudly as she followed her parents to the barrier between the platforms 9 and 10. They were talking about how inferior the Muggles were and how terrible it was that the magic folk had to hide from them. Kate rolled her eyes but smiled as her little sister took her hand "You will send me an owl every week, will you?" asked the 9 years old girl. "Of course I'll write you a lot and you will feel like you'll be there with me" The little girl smiled and wanted to say something as their father spoke "You're going first with your mother" he said to Kate. She nodded and walked with the tall witch though the barrier. She looked amazed at the platform that had appeared in front of them. She observed the red train and the crowd of students af all ages, talking with their parents or already getting on the train. She turned to her mother, who was now adjusting her hair and shirt. Her father was standing there too. "I'm sure you'll make us proud." Said the man "Tomorrow we will receive your cousin's owl, telling us you've joined them in Slytherin" Kate frowned a bit but nodded politely, before kneeling to look at her sister "Your tourn will come soon too. I hope we will be in the same House, then" she whispered, hugging her. She stood up as she heard her mother speak "There is our dear Sissy" she called. Kate nodded at her cousin and took her trunk, before following her on the train. "You'll seat with us." Said her cousin, opening the door of a compartment. Kate recognized her other cousins but the other faces were unknown. She sighed and sat down next to the window, to wave as the train moved.

Wish didn’t rush, he knew he wouldn’t be late as his mother had pulled him out of the house at nine, so he had two hours. They arrived at kings cross an hour early and had to wait for about thirty minutes. As they got to the barrier between platforms nine and ten, he knew what he had to do all the wizards and witch’s he knew told him.
“Remember honey, you just have to run to the barrier-”
“I know what to do mum”
Wish readied himself and his trolly and ran, his mother right after him, into the wall between platforms nine and ten. He had shut his eyes tightly and hoped he wouldn’t crash, and opened them.
Platform 9 3/4 was amazing, there was so many wizards and witches! He was amazed at the train and all the people by it. He hugged his mother for a full minute, said goodbye and set off for the train. He got his things and got on the Hogwarts Express.
He set off down the hallway, he could hear people talking excitedly and laughing. He got in an empty compartment and sat down. He looked out the window and waved to his mum, she waved back. A few minutes later the train started to move, and he waved again to his mother and set off for Hogwarts.

Hello,

I’m locking this thread for the following reason:

Normally I would do this through an owl but there are far too many participants. Additionally, the original poster, Edwin Buckingham, has not logged in since May. Since no one has posted since June 18th, this thread is closed. Let me know if there are any concerns.
