If you have a bible I would be happy to find other passages for you. I know it’s not December, but I also think reading the beginning of Mathew (the Christmas story) and reading the Old Testament are helpful. I think reading exodus and genesis are helpful because they explain the need for a savior

I’m just going to start by saying that no matter what we do in our lives and no matter how much we make a mess of ourselves, God will always accept us if we choose to come back to him. If you repent and choose him and follow him he will forgive you. He loves you so much that whenever his people choose to come back, I believe a celebration happens in heaven. If you’d like, I could also send you some verses and answer any questions you have because I want you to know that no one is perfect. We all make mistakes and a lot can be very bad ones, but God still loves us anyway because we are his creation and his children.

So sorry for the double post

I could also be using prayer, in church right now we are really focused on testimonies and the goal by the end of the series is to be able to share yours. Testimonies and putting myself out there is something I haven't ever really felt comfortable with, but I know it's a big part of sharing your faith, so I just really hope and pray that I'm able to grow.

Of course you can! Really, it made my day just hearing that you want to change! God loves everyone, even those who make major mistakes in their life. Really, no one is perfect, and if God wanted everyone to be perfect, he would love no one. He watches those who need him and don't know it yet, and tries to show his word to them and hopes that they will take it. I am positive that right now God is very happy at your turn-around in life and wants to help you stay on the right path, if you will let him. All you have to do is pray that you admit your mistakes, are sorry, and want his help to stop what your doing. That's it.
There are hundreds of stories of one prayer to God starts a life of Christianity. My own Grandpa prayed to God to stop smoking and he never wanted a cigarette again. A deacon at my church was a teen drug dealer before he accepted God. You are free to Owl me anytime if you want to talk more.

Wrong answer Lils! He will ALWAYS accept you, because you are so very very dear to Him! If you really do want to get turned around, just ask Him! Seriously! Just ask for the grace to believe, which means to trust Him. Ask for the grace to be forgiven! He will shower you with all the grace you need! The steps are easy, but the path is a real challenge in this world. Whenever you fall, just turn back to Him with a contrite heart. He will forgive. And that is honestly the single most awesoméest feeling in the world! Take small steps at first. Soon you'll be running the race! And truly, keep you mind in hell, and don't despair!
