Why do you want to be a mentor? I was previously a Slytherin Prefect, but life got busy, so I couldn’t keep up with the expectations of the position. I stepped back to focus on my real life and the roleplay side of HiO, but I still want to give back to the community. I think being a Mentor would be a good way to do that, and that I can do it with the time I currently have. At the time of signing up, I am still on Staff but will be stepping down once a replacement is found. I know that I cannot be both, but by the time the waitlist is gone through, I should be resigned from staff.

Why do you want to be a mentor?: I have been on the site for a long while now. I would say roughly 2 - 3 years on past accounts, and I have really come to enjoy it. I know the troubles of joining the site for the first time, and all the mentees and new members must have millions of questions they'd like to ask. I want to be a safe place for people to ask questions without thinking their questions are "stupid". I also really enjoy helping others in general. I love seeing people happy or rejoiced that the things that were confusing them have finally been cleared up. Overall, I would love to help new members with any questions they have so they can have a lovely time on the site.

When I first joined this site back in November, I was very confused on how the site worked; how to Roleplay, how to make an ency and more. I was helped out by a lot of people on the site. Now I would like to return the favor by helping the new users who just joined. That is why I want to be a mentor.

Why do you want to be a mentor? While I have been active on site for a long time, my interest and engagement were lesser for a time as I focused on other writing. In the last year, I have reconnected with the community and been much more actively involved outside of duelling, and I would like to continue that by being a help to new members of our community. I remember how difficult I found site navigation when I first joined, and the mentorship program is a wonderful way of easing the learning curve.

Why do you want to be a mentor?? I would like to help the newbies on the site by showing them where and how to do things, and be there if they have any questions about the site. It would be great for the new characters to enjoy the site and the people in it faster then be stuck figuring it out. I also want to help out around the site and this is the best way I can.

Why do you want to be a mentor?: One of the things that I enjoyed when I was previously a mentor was being that face that everyone saw first and just helping new members navigate the site! It was something that I was always passionate about and loved to get to know the newbies of such a fun and forever growing community. Plus, being a mentor previously I am familiar with all that I need to do and the process of what needs to be done to "graduate" mentees.

Why do you want to be a mentor?: The reason I want to be a mentor, is I understand the feeling of when you’re new to the site and you’re so excited to start roleplaying and want to begin writing but that also comes with much confusion as well as questions that you never know the answer too. While I personally never had an official mentor on site I had people willing to help me and answer many questions for me. I still ask questions to this day haha so I want to give back to the site and the community somehow and offer people the same kindness and friendliness I was offered when I joined.
