CICTF Capture the Flag Sign-Ups closed

This thread is part of the Castelobruxo International Capture the Flag event.

Students will be divided into teams of 8 and compete against each other, the surrounding jungle serving as the arena. Each team will agree on a hiding spot for their flag, and strategize to find capture the opposing teams flag and bring it to their own base. This is the sign-up thread to participate in this fast-paced Castelobruxo game!

How do you play?

This game is heavily dependent on group strategy and incoorperate mechanics from all the official sports on site. The jungle arena will be divided into zones, where different environmental obstacles can occur during each round to affect the gameplay. During the first round, both teams reveal their chosen flag hiding location to the thread moderator, while keeping it secret from the opposing team. For all subsequent rounds, one member of each team submits their strategy to the thread moderator. At the end of every round, once all actions have been resolved, the zone map is updated to display each player’s current zone for the upcoming round. The game ends when one team successfully bring the flag base to their base, and can at most last up to 10 rounds.

What are the rules for sign-ups?

• You need to be registered with Index.
• Your PC and your iNPC can both participate; just note that you will be expected to post and reach the required 200 wordcount for both of them during all rounds!
• This is for students only; any adult accounts may not participate in the games.
• Non-staff adult accounts are only permitted to visit if they rent lodging in the nearby Jungle Village Vila do Mato, granted that they have arranged transport from Manaus or a local village guide.
• You may sign up as a full team of 8, or request to be paired with other players, provided they are in the same year group as your character (Years 1–3 or Years 4–7). Please note that we cannot guarantee placement with preferred partners, depending on sign-up numbers.
• Sign-ups will close at 12:pm EDT on June 25th.

Please post for each character on their individual account when signing up (e.g. do not include the sign-up forms for both your PC and your iNPC in one post). Please do not clutter the thread with multiple unnecessary sign-ups.
