completely agree, honestly i just think about it as rick saved leo for the rest of us LOL! i also hated how they made piper's whole personality jason her loving him was literally manufactured by heras mist, she never got to establish herself and she was constantly saving or worrying about jasonand then killed off jason which is actually pmo bc whyyyyy... i felt like piper could have been such an amazing character like the charmspeak and her battle skills were so peak but she got ruined

THANK YOU FOR SAYING THIS! I think this happened with a lot of the characters, inlcuding percy and annabeth. Their entire personalities became their boy/girl friend and it really limited their personalizes and development!

wait yes!! with seven+ characters in hoo i feel like it became an overload of characters and personalities and so to include the love interests rick made their povs and thoughts include a lot more romance than before which def limited their development... however ill never pass up on percabeth they're actually soooo cute i hope that if they ever make a tv show for hoo then they can expand more and fix some of these things lol

I agree, I LOVE percabeth untill annabeth is no longer her own person outside of Percy. Honestly the current tv show is already getting way more into percabeth then I’d like, I feel like the 2 kinda realized it one day and it was much less of a slow burn then the tv show makes it seem

Caleo isn't that's great of a ship to me I did like it at first but as time went on I started doubting it. They do tend to argue a lot in the trials of Apollo book, which leads me to think (hope) that Rick is going to have them break up soon.

Frazel on the other hand to me is the perfect ship because they're both adorable and I love them. I don't think Leo and Hazel would have been a good match anyhow. I can't see them together

Percabeth are indeed adorable but I do see what y'all mean about the love interests thing. I wish we had more of Annabeth outside of her relationship with Percy.

And Piper! I do think that Rick was trying something knew with writing her because she could have been great. But I'm fine with what he's done because A. He can't take it back and B. AO3 may have a well written piper somewhere!

I mean it's rational for a kid to beef with another kid like Percy hating Octavian is fine and all but the kid doesn't deserve all that hate from the whole fandom. I sympathise with him. I wonder what he could have been if he didn't kill himself
