The Death of Ivan Ilyich by Leo Tolstoy; I am enjoying it thus far! Anna Karenina bummed me out upon reading, I thought I could never read any of his works again.

Between us, I don't really recommend. The plot is uninteresting.
The main character spends most of the book confused, while the author keeps introducing new terms like "red shift" and "specific latent heat" with no warning or emotional support.
The explanations are kind of confusing and it jumps into hard stuff way too quickly. One minute you're learning the basics, the next it's acting like you already work at NASA.
Read at your own risk
