quidditch Hufflepuff vs Ravenclaw - Spring 2026

Aston watched the game from the bench, like he did at the beginning rounds of every game. Usually he does try to bring some snacks but unfortunately Aston did forget, oh well. He's usually on the field early enough anyway. The Hufflepuffs are always tough opponents, he can only hope the game goes well and cheer for his teammates.

The match had just started, and Callum knew he was going to lose his voice before the end of the game. He made sure that the Ravenclaw beater heard him, using all of the air in his lungs to boo him. He was surely getting some odd looks from his fellow second strings, but he didn’t care; this was Callum’s favorite part about Quidditch, getting to scream at the top of your lungs. Well, that and playing, I guess.

They were tied 20 to 20. Not bad for the first round, but with every person on the Ravenclaw side still in the air, Sage needed to try harder. Thankfully, her team seemed to have a good handle on the quaffles as they stormed around the stadium. Sage kept her eyes peeled defensively for any rouge parts of the field as she balanced mid-air.

While Atlas always felt uncomfortable leaving her goalposts, it would be a lie if she said that she didn't enjoy causing a bit of additional chaos. Especially in her last game, it felt analogous to her entire time on the team. So as Atlas lowered herself to try and take one of the other players out of the game, she felt the familiar rush of adrenaline begin coursing through her. While she had nothing personally wrong with any of the rival players, that didn't dull the rush she got from suddenly careening into one of them.

As Atlas dove and crashed into Winnie, she immediately diverted her course to avoid being caught. Her ears keenly listened for any indication that she needed to take a penalty lap. After a few passing seconds, an amused grin flicked over her lips as she clearly avoided detection. She had heard a pair of goals against them but they were balanced out a pair of Hufflepuff goals to keep them locked and even. As Atlas moved to retake her position, she could see that her target had survived the plummet from the broom as a teammate had been quick to grab them. Letting out a soft but playfully amused huff, Atlas readied herself for the Ravenclaw response.

Keepers Catch
10% chance to automatically block an attempt to score a goal as long as the Keeper is in the goal area. If an attempt to score has been blocked through this effect, the Keeper may as a free action hurl the quaffle at the opponent team in an attempt to injure a player of their choice (it would be recovered with a quaffle grab action) and treated like a bludger or pass the quaffle to a team mate. This must be declared by the Keeper if either of these free actions are to be utilized.

Evasive Maneuvers
Harder to hit on average, 10% on auto-dodge chance that anything that targets this wizard automatically misses. This is rolled separately from the attack roll.

Broom: Varapidos (+3 to all stats) (Enganação. This literally means "cheat" and is a basically the art of sleight of hand for Brazilian Quiddich players. When a Quiddich player attempts to use the "cheat" action where they attempt to cast a spell while in a game, they succeed once per game automatically. Must declare alongside cheat action. All subsequent attempts to cheat have a 10% automatic "not noticed by the spectators" effect.)

It was hard for Pam to tell how they were exactly doing. However what she did know was that the Ravenclaws were way too good. Like, too much, it was too much. She noted Winnie falling off her broom, but didn't have the time to ponder on it, needing to get to Avery before she could hit the ground. Luckily, she was successful in that attempt, so the fourth year was still in the game.

That was good right? Even though none of the opposite team members had been kicked out of the game either.

Daphne grimaced in annoyance, she almost managed to tackle Winnie but failed. They were at a tied score and she had to decide the best play to get Hufflepuff in the lead.. Shaking her head, she decided to quickly shift her focus, looking around at her teammates before proceeding to fly towards her target.

Abilities: Alluring: A Part-Veela is incredibly beautiful, the magic creates an "entranced" effect, wherein those that would be an attraction where they lose sight of their surroundings and focus more than necessary on the Part-Veela's movements or appearance. Viewers are also prone to experiencing thoughts of a strong desire to impress or be with the Part-Veela in question, some are strongly attracted romantically.

Prodigal DADA Learner: Able to learn Defense Against the Dark Arts 1 year ahead of their actual school year. You may only choose a spell taught in DADA classes. At end game they learn 1 restricted spell. This can also serve as an alternative means to learning spells besides earning them through DADA class.

Scream: The scream can be disorienting (-1 accuracy and -1 evasion), requiring a full action to perform but does not require a wand. This can stack indefinitely and persist until the end of the encounter. This scream can target a single user or it can target up to five users (as an AOE attack). Alternatively, this spell can be used to temporarily deafen an opponent. So rather than cause the player to become disoriented, they would become deafened (unable to hear) for the next 5 rounds.

Broom: Silver Arrow

Avis let out a breath of relief after she managed to narrowly dodge a bludger sent her way. Whipping her head around, she she located the accused and in a spark of impulsive decison-making, Avis turned her broom towards Avery Gray.

The Ravenclaw sped up as she saw the Beater aiming for another teammate and reaching her side, she stuck out her elbow for a discreet cob.

It was a success but apparently not as discreet as the bird thought because seconds later, she was being sent on a penalty lap, head held high and a bright grin across her face.

SECOND STRING

From the benches, boos and cheers would continue to echo through the stadium alongside the crowds. Ophelia and Any had switch tactics, now booing the opposing team, whilst Callum and Fire would continue their boos towards Jorah. The cheers from Aston, Damien, Lyanna and Landon wouldn't be missed however.

DEBUFF FOULS

Meanwhile, Camilla would be targeting Aly. Carefully, she'd dodge and weave through the players to lock broom handles with the Ravenclaw seeker, steering her off course.

"Oi! Carter! Take a penalty lap!"

QUAFFLE ROLLS

No chasers would actually go for the quaffle - instead two seekers and a keeper would. Daphne did her best to keep up with the two seventh years, but their tenure on the pitch could clearly be seen. Atlas's practice especially would come in very handy as she snatched the quaffle away four times, and managing to rack up a whopping 60 points in the one round.

"Wow! Would you look at that, Hufflepuff's keeper has scored a massive 60 points for their team! That puts Hufflepuff in the lead, 80 to 30!"

BLUDGERS

If the bludgers had been uneventful last round, this round would be anything but. Jorah and Ebony would team up, and their combined strength was simply no match for Avery and Pamela. The hit reverberated through the stadium, and they would try to intercept but the power behind the hit made it simply impossible, and they'd be knocked from their broom.

"Ooh, that looks a nasty hit from both of Ravenclaw's beaters there! Let's get a healer for Graham and McCall there, I think they're going to need it!"

The hit, however, would be so powerful and swing out of control, ricocheting back towards a fellow Ravenclaw teammate. Winnie and Quinn would barely have time to expect it as the bludger crashed into them, sending them tumbling too. Thankfully, Mikey, whilst he couldn't reach Quinn in time, would manage to save Winnie.

"Ooh, and that's a harsh hit from a fellow teammate! I'm sure Athanatos and Brook will be having strong words with Moussa after the game!"

KOB FOULS

Finally, amidst all the bludger chaos, Mamori would dart and try to blatch Aly. However, she would manage to evade, and the Hufflepuff captain would get disapproving head shake from the referee. "Come on, Anezaki! Penalty lap!"

• Jorah's hit ricocheted to Atlas, but he rolled a nat1, so it redirected to Winnie/Quinn, who was hit for 1755 dmg and knocked KOB
• Quinn failed the stamina check, so she cannot be saved
• Mamori tried to blatch Aly, but she evaded it (Mamori must take a penalty lap next round)
• Mikey saves Winnie

60 points?! Mikey let 60 points get past him. He was growing more frustrated but knew he had to keep his head in the game and focus. That's when he saw Winnie get knocked off her broom. He darted in and caught her just in time. "Still plenty of match left!" He said enthusiastically.
