It had be some time since Marissa had been in Hogwarts. It had been possibly almost half a year since she was taken out of the school by her parents. She had been experiencing some worrying symptoms. Her parents thought it was due to the stress and mourning of her twin sister, but it turned out to be something completely different. Early on it was obvious that it was not something muggle, it would definitely had to be magical. And after many visits with multiple wizards, they finally found out it was due to Marissa being a Seer. Quite rare in the wizarding world and definitely worrying to her muggle parents. They had decided to keep Mari out of Hogwarts for a little bit longer so they could get used to the new normal, with the possibility of any visions and how Marissa could know that they were about to happen. But the catch to that was, she didn't know when it was going to happen and it was rather rare to happen. She had seen nothing important, just a small few minutes before the event actually happened. Most of the time it was rather amusing, but she was scared that she would see something traumatising. But at least she was allowed back. The Hufflepuff had decided to lay low for the past 2 weeks, luckily enough she had heard about the secret ball the day she had come back. She mostly spent her time trying to stay away from others. It felt weird being back.
Marissa had finally decided to come out of the shadows. Everyone would probably remember her as the mute, sad Hufflepuff girl that mourned her twin sister constantly. But within those 6 months of being away, it allowed Marissa to heal and grow. She obviously missed her sister dearly, but Mari realised she had to walk forward. With that, Marissa had gotten dressed by herself within her sleeping quarters. It was a simple theme for her outfit, astrology. All she could hope for were some familiar faces. Her hair was done half down, half up, neatly done up with a night blue bow with golden stars on it. The only difference to Marissa now was that she had a stark white streak in her hair on the right side of her head, going into the small half down half up pony tail. She did not bother with make up, though it seemed that her age group were beginning to get to the age where they began to worry about looks. But for now, Marissa had no worries about that.
As she entered the grounds and walked up the stairs, Mari looked around for any familiar faces. It had been so long, everyone looked like strangers to her. Some may not even know who she was due to the timing of when she left. It made her remember the times in her First Year, when she was mute. Luckily Marissa had grown since then. She wasn’t outgoing or anything, but at least she could speak a sentence without all the stuttering. Though luck was found, Mari had spotted an old friend! Serena. It seemed the young girl had changed since Marissa last saw her, though that was probably due to them all changing constantly. The young Hufflepuff rushed over to Serena and gave her a hug, though regretting it on the inside. “Serena!” She smiled brightly and let go of her fellow Hufflepuff. “How have you been?

You couldn't even tell if it was a pitch anymore. The greenery of the grass had been replaced with a mob. A mob of students that encompassed the grounds like a sea of ants crawling over each other, the ball was in full swing and yet the question remained. How on earth did the staff not have a whopping clue of what was transgressing here. They were making noise enough to rouse a sleeping dragon..she liked that analogy. "I hope so..funny old man..with his armour and everything." That was the only image of the Headmaster that she could remember and it happened to be him dressed up in his suit of armour at the last ball. He didn't seem like the type you could just whisk away with a snap of your fingers, something was afoot and the only thing they had to go on was a wrecked office and some stupid message engraved in the wall. Great. "Hey, Lamik?" She asked suddenly a light bulb going off in her head. "You know, I was wondering..."

What was she wondering exactly? No, perhaps it was too early for that. Perhaps she was just being foolish, maybe all Elena needed to was relax a bit and stop freaking out over a possibility that could happen but at the same time, could not. "You ever find it weird how this stuff happens at some huge event or something of the sorts? Whatever or whomever is out there, they have had plenty of chances to do whatever but it's always the Blossom Ball that something erupts." Elena could not remember the last time she had went to some school gathering that had went off without a hitch. It was almost like the unseen wanted to corral everyone into one spot but why the students? Just what wrong had they commited against an enemy they didn't even know about?

Shaking her head to clear it, she snapped back to reality the sounds and chatter of the crowds bringing her back. Elena was not here to ponder over what-ifs..she was here to at least try to enjoy one ball..ONE. "You have got to explain to me how that works one day." Elena tilted her head looking at him. "That whole blindfold trick thing is so cool, why you'd get stuck with the awesome magic tricks?" She grinned while briefly comprehending in her mind any feasible logical explanation she could find for Lamik's talents coming to the solution that the boy was merely gifted in ways beyond her understanding. In a sense, that was why Elena felt..drawn to him. He was different..not like the common student body. Aside from his cheery, nice self and alluring personality, he was a pretty decent indivdiual. "He's pretty alright." The Gryffindor wondered out loud and immeditaly realizing what she had said afterwards her eyes widening. Oh, you idiot. "Music has a nice ring to it." The words spewing out of her mouth quickly in a attempt to change the topic from her fumble. She wasn't lying however, the music was appealing.

The view from the stands were good but soon enough Elsian found his mind wandering, the scribble on the pages of his book slowing down as he noticed more familiar faces down in the pitch. Or more precisely, a very certain bored looking Hufflepuff he hadn't seen in a while.

It hadn't been a very fast realization for him, maybe because of the distance, maybe because she was dressed fancy but in the end he'd skimmed over her and a few others until he'd seen her away from the party. Not talking, not dancing, not even eating. Just sitting. For a small moment he wondered why someone would bother coming if they already looked so miserable in the setting, something around the lines of, 'she looks absolutely miserable,' before turning into the realization of, 'oh that's my miserable Hufflepuff.'

Terrible really. If anything he'd expected the other to be out there in the thick of things.

Elsian hadn't planned on really going down into the pitch until he was ready to leave, seeing as he'd rather not be part of whatever travesty hit the ball. Yet in the end he felt more and more guilty as the minutes ticked by and he scribbled in the book. Logan looking absolutely no happier in the five minutes he'd given whatever friends she'd come with to sweep her away from her misery.

Letting out a small suffering sigh he snapped his book shut, stuffing it into his bag before throwing the thing over his shoulder and making his way own to the main chaos. He accepted the fact he may just become a victim of whatever curse made things always go wrong but he figured it was better than leaving his friend on her own.

Zyk stood still as the boy approached, a relaxed demeanor was a near-permanent fixture upon his being. Eyes followed the boy as he came to stand near him and look down upon the ongoing festivities that blanketed the pitch below. Turning his frame to mimic the posture of the other, he once again settled as he had done before by resting his forearms along the railings of the stands and looked down onto the pitch as the boy spoke up once more. A smile crossed his features then as the other suggested that this evening wasn't going to live up to trivial expectations of the students below.

For some reason Zykeal didn't take this as a jab towards himself, as he was excited to meet the one he had invited here, he still was guarded upon his emotions to where he held a reservation of doubt. The upbringing he had endured didn't allow for such "hopes" to come true, not without working for such things at least. A shrug was offered then to the one's name he didn't know, "S'pose it might get busted soon enough by the teachers." he offered, wondering that was what the boy had meant by his suggestive statement that loomed for the moment.

As he stood there, mimicking the others' gaze down into the crowded pitch, he let the silence carry for the moment, not wanting to lead a conversation with a student who was clearly older than him. For one, with how cryptic the other was acting, he figured that he was a Slytherin. They always seemed to talk in dark riddles and never seemed to relax around the other houses students, he observed but didn't quite understand why there was such a stigma towards them. For one, he originally thought he'd fit in more with the green and silver.

The boys' voice broke the silence again though, leading into more what Zyk thought to be inner monologing or rambling. It was hard to hear the boys last sentence, he caught a few words but dismissed them as he didn't feel like pressing the issue with someone who was probably more magically enlightened than himself.

"Hopefully," he stated a little matter-of-factly, "there won't be any issues and people can enjoy themselves."

Turning himself slightly, to where only one forearm rested upon the railing and his opposite hand would come to grip upon the railing itself so he could peer over at the boy as he once again spoke up. This time his words seemed a little more relaxed to Zyk and maybe even a tad, not friendly, but at least a little bit more tolerable to his own presence.

"Bloody 'bout scared me off the railing you did though."

Ivy wasn't quite sure where Zykeal would be, in the main areas or the Quidditch stands. She eventually decided on the latter, thinking that if he wasn't there, she could still pick him out in the main area from the stands. She looked around for the redheaded boy - there was a lot of people here, and was just about to head back down when she spotted him talking to another boy she didn't recognize.

Relief flooded through her at the sight of him. Good, she hadn't just wasted a trip up to the stands alone. Ivy waved and called, "Zykeal!" as she made her way over to him, expertly navigating her way through the benches. The Gryffindor was surprisingly graceful even with the heels on - her ballet training and her many years of being forced to attend her family's balls had certainly helped with this matter.

Zyk's outfit choice was rather smart and neat, and Ivy cast an approving gaze over it before nodding at him, smiling. "Did I keep you waiting?" she asked, and turned to the other boy. "Hi! I'm Ivy." By the looks of it, he was a little older than Ivy and Zykeal. Ivy was sure she had probably passed him in the hallways at some point, but couldn't remember a time when she had ever talked to him.

"Brilliant to meet you." She held out a hand, smiling. It was clear that she was in a rather good mood, seeing that she was usually rather unfriendly and distant to everyone. But this was the Blossom Ball. Ivy was determined to have some fun that evening, and she would do her best to make sure of it.

Lamik couldn't help but grin at the mention of Solomon Lear's odd attire. Personally, he didn't find it all too strange- at least, not stranger then what wizards usually wore. Possibly because of his muggle heritage, the boy hadn't really managed to figure out what was normal attire and what was not in the wizarding world. Elena seemed to be implying that a full set of armor was not. Unfortunately, the subject quickly returned to its former gloominess when the girl pointed out how things tended to happen during large events. "I'm not entirely sure thats true." Lamik responded. "They could very well be happening all the time. Smaller disasters that only involve a few people. I mean... I know those happen occasionally. I was there during one of them."

For some reason, Elena decided to quickly change the subject to something less scary. "I really don't know how it works." The Gryffindor said. "It just does. And it's not the only thing I can do either." With a hint of pride in his voice, Lamik continued. "Have you ever heard of a Binding Mark?" Deciding to also respond to the odd phrase that she muttered before mentioning the music, he asked one last jokey question. "And... by "He's pretty all right", are you confirming that I am pretty, or are you saying that I'm rather all right? Either way, I agree."

Dmitri chuckled quietly as the younger boy expressed his fright at his previous sudden quip. The boy's tone and accent reminded Dmitri of his own humble upbringing back in the Philippines. It spoke of an unconventional way of life that involved a lot of maturing early on in life. The Slytherin could respect that, but he, himself did try to elevate his attitude a bit from his past. To be frank, if he could, he would want to forget any and all things about his life before Hogwarts. "You must have quite been deep in thought to not have noticed me." He turned and smirked mischievously at the other boy. "Were they, perchance, thoughts of your... date?" His tone was in a teasing manner at this.

It seemed like it was fate that he mentioned the other boy's date's arrival, though, as not even a few moments later, a well-dressed girl approached their quiet corner in the stand railings. As the younger girl called out the boy's name, Dmitri realized he totally neglected to introduce himself. Shaking his head, he raised an eyebrow at the boy. "Zykeal, huh? Well met!" At that, he'll aim a boyish smile at the newcomer. "Well met to you too, Ivy. My name's Dmitri. Dmitri Jones." Bowing his head to the both of them, he added. "I guess this is my cue to leave... Good evening to you both."

Hefting his bag higher up his shoulders, Dmitri moved deeper into the quiet part of the stands to be alone once more. He wouldn't have ever thought at that point that he has been talking to a Gryffindor--there wasn't any jumping from windows 30 feet in the air!

The spot he chose was relatively darker than the previous corner he huddled in, prompting him to take out his light and mumble a small Lumos to illuminate the space. It was at this light that he cracked open his book and perused its pages once more to pass the time.

Relinquishing his current position, Zykeal would stand straight and allow himself to raise a hand to straighten the tie he was currently adorning. The smirk that the other was giving him as he suggested where Zyks mind could have been at the time of his arrival was returned in kind. "S'pose you're right on that one. First ball, first date." he offered, giving more details than what was asked. This didn't matter to him though, he wasn't embarrassed by such things, it would only cause him grief if she had decided to bail on him.

That wouldn't be the case though as Zyk adjusted his tie, he heard the call of his name from behind him. The smirk that was played across his face from before grew into a full smile as he offered a nod to the boy before slowly turning to see the Ivy making her way towards the two boys. "...Wow," he said as she approached, muttered to where it was hard to hear. Golden hues couldn't help but drift over the girl's appearance and he couldn't help his cheeks to become slightly flushed on the sight of her. "Ivy, you're..." he said, a slight shake of his head as the 11-year-old tried to process everything, "lovely," he concluded.

Looking back over his shoulder after hearing his name once more, he looked at the boy with the smile still upon his face and turned to stand with his back against the railing once more. "Forgot we hadn't exchanged names. Dmitri Jones." he nodded as the boy introduced himself, "Bloody good to meet you, officially, I'm Zykeal Lane." was politely noted as his eyes strayed back to look at Ivy once more. After a moment, he heard Dmitri speak up once more and noted that he was probably just staring at Ivy and might have made things a little awkward.

Snapping his look back to Dmitri, "Ah, cheers mate. See you in the halls. Have a good ball and all..." he said in kind as he nodded once more to the other. After watching for a moment as Dmitri left, he turned once more and looked towards Ivy. "Shoulda' asked what color your dress would be..." was said as he slowly withdrew what was hanging from the back pocket of his trousers. Having strapped the corsages band to the button on his pocket so not to harm the flowers that were resting on it, unless he sat down of course. A triple red rose corsage was offered to Ivy then, a slight smile resting upon his features, "hope you like it." he said in a light voice, lids slightly softened as he peered towards her.

Arrived in the Quidditch Pitch in his Ball attire
-Open for Interaction-

Another year, another ball it seemed. Why did they even bother? He did not know. Would there be any trouble? He was pretty sure there would be. But it would not be his problem now, would it? Arc was Prefect no more.

The young Ravenclaw came into the Quidditch Pitch with a Victorian getup. He wore a dark vest, black trousers, and a short grey cape. The chain of his pocket watch was dangling from his vest’s third button to one of its pockets. His white shirt was high-collared and a black bow was tied neatly on his neck, almost perpetually choking him. The boy held his top hat in his left hand. And with a clunk, he walked through the stadium with a matching dark cane in his right.

After taking a look around, Arc chose to go to the stands. He found a quiet and vacant space in one of the sides where he could just enjoy the breeze and the warm glow of the floating candles. Sure, it was a bit eerie and dimly lit, which would make his already strange disposition -or aura, as one of his close friends called it- even worse, but it would do. The boy was just here to take a breather of all the reading. A shocking thing coming from the bookworm.

But he needed it. The Eagle had lost count of how many books he had read in the past one year. It was too many, that was for sure. He had cut out every extracurricular activity that would eat his time to read. The dark-haired boy barely met anyone. It had cost him his Prefect position. And he apparently even missed a couple of his class, much to his chagrin. Arc Perscivious had practically lived in the library.

It was not for nothing, though. The lithe teenager had pretty much covered all his basics, the low hanging fruit, so to speak. Now he could concentrate on subjects he was truly interested in and well, took his time. Before that, though, he needed, nay, he deserved a break. So, here he was.

And Arc knew it. He just knew it. The boy could feel it in his guts. Tonight was the night he could finally get a proper time off. A worry-free night, devoid of any trouble. He would meet up with his one best friend, say hi to a couple other people, and end the night without any rumpus. Was that so hard to ask for?

It was, wasn't it? For fate was a fickle mistress.

For a place that was a bit off from the main attraction and meant to serve as a place of peace and quiet for those individuals who perhaps did not want to partake in the main attractions for any suffcient reasons, perhaps from prior experiences or they lacked the will to do so, it was living up to it's name in a very poor manner. The stands were becoming increasingly occupied and Elena wasn't sure if she liked that or not. Granted, nothing crazy had happened yet thought that was an adjective that could change very quickly in a matter of seconds. The chatter began to pick up here as well though the side converstations were barely audible over the main festivites taking place on the pitch which seemed to be going rather well. A bit of food, some music, it had all the makings of a good ball. The nagging feeling in the back of her head though yet refused to believe everything was going to go to plan. It just couldnt't, it never did so why was this time any different?

"I..uh..well." She sputterd out noting in horror that Lamik had indeed heard her mutterings. Well, he did look pretty dashing in the suit, tie or no tie. Just tell him already for Merlin's sake! She attempted to recover her blunder by formulating some sort of words that could be put together in a sentence. "Well, uh maybe handsome works better?" She said shooting him a thin smile. That smile that spelled nervousness. Internally, she was screaming. Why had she said that? Why? What was she doing? "Can't say I know many guys who decided to abandon rule number one of suits. Maybe daring is a better adjective." Well, that came out alright, I suppose." She almost wanted to breathe a sigh of relief as the attention shifted away from her blunder, hopefully she had remedied that little situation smoothly enough. You can't keep him in the dark forever.

She raised an eyebrow giving him a sort of curious look. "Binding Mark? Is this another one of your million magical superpowers?" Seriously, able to see things blindfolded, an particular affinity for the Smokescreen Spell though she doubted if she could call that a talent. "What is it?" She was half expecting Lamik to inform her that he was a really famed Seer or something. Now, wouldn't that be something. Perhaps the Divination professor could predict what the end result of her interactions with the boy turned out to be but then again..the subject never really appealed to her even if it did boast some some sort of validity.
