Meeting with a Friend Closed

Harper nodded at him saying he heard it was a requirement to bring a date. "Yeah I heard that too!" She said and then listened to him when he began talking about what he was going to wear to the ball. She smiled as she thought it was cool he was doing that. "That's a cool idea! Very cool of you to show your culture through this unique way." She thought for a moment and shrugged when he asked her what she was wear to the ball. "I will honestly just send a letter to my parents and have them send me a dress from home." She told him. She looked at both the pictures he showed her and she nodded in agreement with him. "Yes, I agree I like the first one as well. Those colors look really nice together." She said smiling a little. "If you want I can show you pictures of the two dresses I am considering. I have pictures of them with me so I can try and come up with a decision about which to wear." She said looking at him with a smile. She wanted to have something semi-formal but not too formal as she didn't want to overdress.

"Sure, I wish to see what you want to wear." He would smile softly and he would wait for her to show it. It would be cool to have matching outfits or something like that. He wondered if the outfits would be similar colors or something cool! He did not know what the style she would want and he would smile sitting up. He would begin to sip the sweet liquid, it tasted good. He missed this taste, he remembered the last time he drank it was last year when his brother made him a home made version of butter beer. It was not bad at all and he wondered if there was a better way. He felt like his brother never added too much sugar in it. He would smile and he wondered what Harper's favorite drink was. "What is your favorite muggle drink? I really liked this soda called Ramune. It came in cray weird flavors like carbonated corn drink! It was actually good and sweet. It was sort of like drinking sweet corn." He smiled at her wondering if she would dare to drink something like that. "I drank the drink on a dare from a school friend."

Harper smiled and nodded as she pulled two pictures out of her bag and showed them to him. "I am not really sure but I like the color of the pink one better but the design of the yellow one plus if I wore the yellow one then it would be kind of matching my house colors since I am a Hufflepuff. I am very conflicted."

Harper was showing him the pictures and he asked what her favorite muggle drink was. "Well it's sort of a tie between rootbeer and orange juice. I love a good rootbeer but I also a fan of orange juice especially the stuff that has pulp in it. But I know a lot of people prefer pulpless... especially people I grew up with." She said laughing a little to herself as she said her weird preference aloud. She didn't really mind if people judged her for that kind of thing. She liked it and that's what mattered. They didn't really have a right to tell what she is supposed to like and dislike. At least that's what she grew up learning from her parents. "What about you Adohiro? What's your favorite muggle drink?" She asked smiling and anxious to know what he would say about her pulp in orange juice thing.

"I like the yellow dress but I think the pink dress is more pretty. The flowers are very lovely and it's over the top too so it is nicer." He would tell Harper and he would glance at them. The yellow dress did match the Huffle pup colors and it had a pretty color. He felt like it would sort of match his own outfit. He began to think of what his favorite drink was and he would begin to think. "I really liked this soda called Ramune. It came in cray weird flavors like carbonated corn drink! "I drank the drink on a dare from a school friend." He would tell her and he would lean back drinking the butter beer. he would say. "I also like root beer too. It is really tasty, I also like some lemon ramune and there is also a root beer ramune. It is very tasty and good! It tastes like the A&W root beet! It's awesome!" He grinned at her sipping more of his butter beer.

Harper nods at his feedback on the dress. "Yeah I liked the pink dress more too. I'll ask my parents to send that one then." She said. She didn't actually live very far from Hogwarts so her parents would be able to send it in time. Once she had her dress she had become even more excited. She had matching pink shoes she would have her parents send and then all she would have to do is figure out her hair. Since it was short she would likely just curl it or something.

When Adohiro starts to talk about his favorite drink Harper nods a little but squinches up her nose. "I've heard of this Ramune stuff and I tried it... I didn't like it very much." She said laughing a little. "I feel like it's an acquired taste."[/b She stated afterwards. "Wow! I didn't know they had different flavors of Ramune! The lemon one might be good but I am not quite sure about the rootbeer one. Have you tried both the lemon and the rootbeer Ramune flavors? If so which is your favorite of the two flavors?" She asks curiously. She was really enjoying getting to know Adohiro.

"I like the lemon flavor better than the root beer. The root beer was tasty too but the original flavor is better." He smiled. "They also have a straw berry flavor too which I think is the best flavor. The melon flavor is good too and is great when you put ice cream in it." He grinned softly and he would sit up better. He would finish his butter beer which he wished there was some cold sodas in this place. When the waiter came, he ordered a cold sprite drink. "Do you want any drinks?" He asked Harper. If she aid yes, he would get her the same drink, but if she said no he still would buy it for her. He would pay for the drinks and wait, he wondered what food they had here. He sort of forgot what food they had here but he assumed it was the greasy fried British food. Some thing he was not a big fan in so he would prefer less oily food or some Korean and Japanese food which were a tad bit less oily unless it was some delicous meat. That was loaded with it! "Do you have any favorite foods?"

Harper listened carefully to him talking about the different flavors of Ramune. She nodded. "I don't understand how you like those... they don't taste very good to me. But I suppose everyone has different taste buds and likes and dislikes different foods." She said smiling a little bit. There was nothing wrong with that, people were all different for a reason. If everyone liked the same things then the world would be pretty boring.

When Adohiro offered to pay for her drink she shook her head. "No you really don't need to get me anything..." She said trailing off when he ordered her a drink anyways. Since he had ordered her another drink she drinks the last few sips of her Butterbeer slowly careful not to be impolite by drinking it too fast. When she finished drinking it she sets the glass down and plays with the glass by rubbing her finger on it while she was still listening and paying attention to Adohiro. She had a nervous habit to play with things around her. Sometimes she even did it when she wasn't nervous. When Adohiro asked about her favorite food she stopped playing with the glass for a moment and thought of a reply. "I don't really have a particular kind of favorite food but I love meat, especially chicken. What about you?" She asks him.

"Chicken meat is good too. I also like black bean noodles. Too bad it had Monosodium glutamate or known as MSG. My brother barely ever let me have black bean noodles so I had to eat it at a friend's house or on a special event." He would sigh. "Monosodium glutamate is supposed to be bad or some thing like that, I highly doubt it is even true. I hate having a strict sibling." He grumbled and he would drink the nice bubble carbonated Sprite drink. It tasted sugary, something his brother would not allow in the house at all. Of course, he would sneak sodas and sugary and salty snacks and drinks to eat and drink but he was always caught. "I always tried to sneak snacks, were your parents strict on sugary fatty foods, or was that just my brother?" He asked her. He did like the food and all, but he hated having restrictions on food. It certainly made him more skilled at lying and deception he would say, maybe his brother was just training him to be like that? What would he know though, his brother never told him anything about his parents or anything about his family history.

Harper heard him mention black bean noodles. "Black bean noodles? I've never heard of those." She said a little confused. Harper shook her head at his comment about the MSG. "Your brother was right it is bad for you. I won't get into the science of it but him completely banning you from eating it I think is overboard. That and sugary and salty foods are ok in moderation as long as they aren't eaten all the time. But that's just my opinion." She explained to him.

Harper laughed a little when he mentioned he always tried to sneak snacks. "I never really had to sneak snacks or anything like that. My parents were pretty lenient on things like that. As long as I don't eat foods like that every day they don't really care too much about it. I can't imagine what it would be like to never have foods like that. Although it must make moments like this enjoyable since you never have sugary foods like pop, it must make them more tasty and enjoyable when you can have them. She brought up. "Although my parents weren't strict on the foods I ate they were strict on a lot of other things." She said laughing a little. "Looking back it was honestly kind of stupid some of the things I have gotten in trouble for in the past."

"You are lucky, I wish I was your sibling. I would like to eat any snacks I would want! Hope fully I would not gain any weight when I did so. The rules at my house were strict. No running, no complaining, eating all your meals at least, and no misbehavior, or childish pranks. If I did I would get scolded or punished more harshly. It was never fun ever! I hated it!" he giggled softly. "What did you get in trouble for the most? I probably got in trouble for talking back the most. I always got smacked when ever I did talk back to my brother or misbehave. I also use to lie about doing my home work but I was playing a game!" He smiled at the odd memories. "But I did use to do fun things with my brother. We went to Disney World and Lotto World, it is sort of like a Disney world. Lotto World has fun roller coasters and it's so much fun!" He smiled. "Have you been to any fun amusement parks or Disney World? I like water parks too, those were the fun days! My school always went to fun places once a year!"
