Wanna Have a Look?
Five days before the spring royalty activity, Cassie is running campaigns for her own performance. She assumes that she herself is well-prepared. She has designed a lovely booklet for her dance, featuring well-designed pages for each of her acts. She is bold in using colours, and the final booklet exceeds her expectations. Thus, she feels that it is the right time to give out booklets to students-- the more who are interested in her performance, the more chances she might win.
She packs a deck of booklets in different covers-- she has specially designed covers for students from each house, according to the colours of their houses, and she heads to the corridors. It is the noon break, and many students are walking by the corridors, she hopes that some might be interested in her booklets.
She soon realizes that it is more difficult to give out booklets than she thought. Students are usually walking by in groups, chatting and laughing, not even leaving a single look at Cassie. I should have set a stall in the courtyard or somewhere else instead. Cassie thinks sadly, when on earth would I be able to give out a booklet?
She looks at the booklets on her hands and waits.

XXXSundays were good. They were a time to catch up on leftover homework, a time to chatter with friends, and of course, a time to wander the halls with nothing better to do. Sunlight streamed through the windows as Eonaria meandered over the cobbled stones. The Wonderland Waltz was less than a week away now, and with it, came the Spring Royalty election.
XXXShe had thought it was a wonderful idea, something akin to the student councils that popped up elsewhere. Hogwarts didn't have much of that. It had authority in the prefects and whatnot, but the castle was not run by the students. Mostly. Her thoughts flashed momentarily to the clubs and community spaces all over the castle.
XXXThe problem was that Eonaria was not very familiar with many of the candidates running, other than some of her classmates and acquaintances like Avery Gray and Emiline Hunter. But were they close enough to be considered friends? She wasn't sure of this, nor of whether it was enough to warrant a vote made solely on bias. She would just have to attend the Pageant on Friday to be more informed, then. Surely it would be interesting to watch, at the very least. Eonaria had never voted for something official like this before, how exciting!
XXXEonaria was about to turn the corner and head to the Great Hall to grab something for a midday snack when she spotted a Ravenclaw girl standing by the wall, looking worried. In her hands, she held colourful booklets. She didn't recognise her at all. With her interest piqued and a bit of pity, Eonaria approached her instead with a smile. "Good morning!" she greeted sweetly. Is it still morning? "What might these be?"

Just as Cassie is wondering if she should stop a few students and give them some booklets, a young, good-looking girl stops her. She greets Cassie warmly. Surprised for a second, Cassie greets her as well. 'Good Morning!' from the girl's school robe, Cassie can tell that she is a Gryffindor, probably a first or second year.
'Oh you mean these.' hearing the girl ask her what she is doing, Cassie holds out the booklets. 'Here, take a look and I will explain it for you.' she says as she gives the girl a red covered booklet, since red matches the girl's uniform. 'I am Cassie Jiang, a third year Ravenclaw' Cassie starts to introduce herself. 'And I am campaigning for the Spring Royalty Pageant!'
'I will be doing a 15 minute or so dance, Ballet to be precise. And it will be divided into six acts. Unlike most of the other competitors, I suppose, you are welcomed to interact while I am dancing. Thus, I decided to make this booklet to sort of advertise my performance and give a trailer for what I will be doing and how you can interact with me.' She smiles as she looks at the girl. The young Gryffindor seems interested.
'You can read it if you'd like. I also put some copies in the library, except these are specially designed to match your house! If you have any questions, please ask me.'

XXXThe girl introduced herself as Cassie Jiang, handing her one of the booklets, which had a red coloured cover. Eonaria glanced at the others, which had covers of the colours of the other houses. Ooh, that's pretty nice. "Oh, wow!" she answered, beginning to flip curiously through the pages as she listened to the older Ravenclaw explain her pageant performance. "That sounds like a lovely plan. What kind of interactions will there be?" Eonaria didn't know much about ballet, but knew it required quite a lot of strength, balance, and endurance.
XXXThe booklet featured one page for each act, each page bright and colourful-- except for the Black Swan, of course. It all looked so interesting, and Eonaria wondered how each of these concepts could be represented in a dance form. It was hard to imagine. She was just skimming the booklet for now, but would make sure to read every word when she found a quiet moment.
XXX"Of course! I'll make sure to attend," she added shyly, slightly cowed by the knowledge of this girl's physical prowress. Performing in front of the student body in competition with other students was scary! Eonaria couldn't imagine performing her operas in front of her classmates.
XXXWell, at least now she had something specific to look forward to at the Pageant! Standing around feeling lost was not at all a good plan. Eonaria tried to commit Cassie's face to mind, nodding with a smile. If this girl was performing ballet, what would other people be doing? She had imagined it to be, like... giving persuasive speeches, or something, but now she knew that it would be much more interesting than anticipated.

Cassie feels more excited as the young Gryffindor girl shows interest in her performance and her booklets. 'If you don't mind, I'd love to introduce the interactions of the acts one by one to you!' she smiles. 'As you can see, my performance consists of six acts. For the first act, I'll be dancing the blue bird variation. I will generate some butterflies as I dance and set free two real blue birds, you can hold out your wand and cast some blue sparks to attract them! Then the second act, if you happen to know Nix Facitur, the weather modifying charm, you can make the snowfall I generate stronger to add to the tragic feeling of this act.' Cassie pauses to see if the girl is following her words.
'For the third act, I prepared a pile of black feathers, you can levitate them and make them swirl around like a storm as I perform the variation of odile. Then we've got the variation of cupid, when I will generate some pink and red bubbles, you can play with them or set some colourful sparks to match the lively music.' she pauses again, two variations left to go. She is worrying if her talking pace is too fast for the girl to understand.
'Have I explained the first four acts clearly?' she asks. 'And I would love to have you at my performance! In my fifth act, you can accio red flags to wave and have fun with, and I'd be giving out all kinds of candies in my final act-- the variation of sugar plum fairy!'

XXX"Oh, okay, sure." Eonaria listened as Cassie spoke, fascinated, flipping along in the booklet. "Oh yes, I know those spells!" She lit up slightly. She was so glad that they had very recently learned the Blue Sparks Charm in Astronomy class in addition to the Red Sparks Charm from last year. It seemed she would be able to participate in all the interactions except for summoning the flags. She was quite confident in her ability to summon snowfall using Nix Facitur, as well, due to her practise and snowball fight last year.
XXX"I'll do my best to participate in all other them-- it's amazing how you've allowed the audience to engage with your performance!" Eonaria didn't know anything about what the other candidates were doing, but this would surely be impressive. Not only did each of the acts have their own unique theme, but it showcased multiple magical and artistic feats throughout the performance.
XXXThe Sugar Plum Fairy-? Sugar plums? Crystallised sugar on plums? She didn't think it sounded very good, but it likely wouldn't be as strange as she was visualising. After all, it was a ballet dance, not a food tasting event. And she enjoyed most candies, often adding it to her ever growing midnight snack collection. You never know when you might get the munchies, no matter how silly of a term it was. "Yes, I think that was a really good explanation!" Eonaria closed the booklet, stowing it away in her satchel. "Thank you for letting me know. I'm sure many other people would love to come see your performace as well. Have a good day!" She bowed and rejoined the crowd of students moving through the corridors, giving Cassie a farewell wave and a smile.
