Hufflepuff vs Ravenclaw: Match 2
Anastasia was Scottish, born and raised in the north of Scotland. Her late father had been basically already dead, being a vampire and all. So to say she didn’t mind the cold was just a random fact about her. But being cold because she was drenched in water? This she absolutely hated, always had, always will. She gets shivery, her movements are slowed down, the feeling of wet clothes on her skin is simply awful. And she was already feeling dizzy because of the previous hits.
She tried dodging, she really did. But Jake's knockback jinx still managed to hit her in the shoulder.

Hufflepuff vs Ravenclaw: Match 2
Haven spluttered as she was hit in the face with her own water. "What in the donkeys in wrong today?!" She hit the bottom of her wand a few times like a remote with dying batteries. "Excuse me, I kind of need you today. Please work. Please work. Thank you." Haven would rather not bleed out in front of her classmates today, on Valentine's Day, of all days.
"You're going to get zero stars on Yelp if you don't work," she whisper-threatened.

This was getting out of hand. Never before had Lea experienced so much difficulty in a duel before, not even when she had just started to believe magic might actually be a fact of this place. At least Jake had gotten a hit but Haven accidentally hitting herself instead made it truly seem like there was a curse placed upon the entire Hufflepuff team. Perhaps the Tempest Jinx was a bit too advanced for right now or maybe she needed another go at it... Regardless, hopefully next cast would find some more success.

Ravenclaw had a strategy and it was clearly working for them. Just as they had done at the start of the duel, Cassius and Damion teamed up to incapacitate the badgers with their fog and mist combo. The gold mist was finally fading again, returning the Hufflepuffs to their proper senses. However, Lea and Jake immediately returned to that state of hanging as Cassius waved his wand. Damion produced more fog, blanketing the badger duo and hiding them from the audience and the referee.
Before the eagles’ spells could take full effect however, Lea and Haven’s spells both crossed the piste - an improvement over their last attempts perhaps due to Haven’s threat of a scathing review. Twin Knockback Jinxes sought different targets. Damion’s movements were progressively slowing down, allowing Lea to hit him cleanly. In contrast, Anastasia was as speedy as ever, avoiding the cast of Haven who still felt off when it came to her endurance. Jake was the only one who hadn’t taken a shot from the Huffepuff side, unmoving as the fog and mist surrounded him.

Hufflepuff vs Ravenclaw: Match 2
Jake cursed himself for freezing, just when his team needed him the most. The fog, the limbo mist, it was getting to him, making it hard to aim. Hard to think. Though he hadn’t been hit yet by many spells, he was taken out of things anyway. He had to give his props to the other team. They knew how to use their spells that made dueling near impossible. It was smart and Jake knew it. It still didn’t make it any easier to bear though.

Ow.
Again Cassius leaned upon one of his favorite new spells which created a golden mist around their opponents. Despite the success of the cast -- and that of Damion's fog -- it still felt like they were not doing enough damage to the other team. That would need to change. It was nearing the end of the duel and decisive action would be needed.
Cassius leveled his wand at his opponents and prepared for what was to come.

WANDMAKER (ROUGAROU HAIR)Reducio• 10% of the damage done by a "dark" spell is done to a target that was successfully hit by a dark spell every round for the duration of the thread. This is considered to be "bleeding" and can be countered with the bandaging charm.
• In Duelling: This bleeding effect is limited to 4 rounds. If hit by another dark spell in the meantime, the bleeding effect is replaced with the new one.
• On a critical success with a "dark" spell, a second target (only if defined by the caster before this has been rolled) can be targeted, if no secondary target is declared then nothing happens.
• -10% damage done with non-dark spells.

Anastasia knew there wasn’t that much time left is the duel. If she could continue dodging the Hufflepuffs' spells for a little longer, she might stay awake. And that was her main objective. Winning was equally important but if she could be conscious when they won — because of course they would win, right? — it would be even better.
And yeah, she dodged the Hufflepuff girl's jinx.

Hufflepuff vs Ravenclaw: Match 2
Just as Haven finally got her spells working again (she thinks the threat was effective), the other team had the audacity to dodge it. Like they personally were trying to not let them win or something, almost like this was a competition. She narrowed her eyes at the other team.
"Lock in lock in lock in," she whispered to herself, rolling her wrist a few dozen times to limber it. They could still do this.

Finally Lea had succeeded, the spell not fizzling and her mind no longer blanking as the spell rocketed to the other side. And not only had the spell succeeded, but it hit- an impact she only saw for a moment before her world was cast once again in gray and turned upside down. These eagles had a habit, one that was very much getting on her nerves- at least there wasn't much longer that she would have to deal with them, the time ticking down both faster and slower than she would have liked.

Damion was not sure what he should be doing. Getting hit by a spell had his head turned around. He was trying his best to stay focussed. He had to survive two more rounds and needed to do it in a manner he didn't get hurt or his teammates getting hurt.
