Well, there's one flashback when Avery watched her muggle friend die right before her eyes and before then she hadn't spent much time with her, there's one about Avery finding out her mother doesn't actually love her and just wanted a child in order to uphold bloodlines, and one about Avery's grandfather nearly dying in front of Avery. Here is the thread where her friend died. Basically some tips I'd give is to set the scene. Weather can be a huge factor in a story. Rain can symbolize grief and anguish while sunshine represents hope or joy. Another thing I would say is write the emotions your character is feeling. Oh also, I got my INPC!! But she is only allowed to RP in Ilvermorny after July since that is when she starts her first year.
