Gryffindor VS Slytherin: Match 3

Alright, it turned out the Gryffs did in fact know how to cast spells, and pretty well at that - Mahlioz would almost be proud of them, if it didn't mean Draven was lacking a wand and Pyxis was looking rather hurt from the slurry of spells. Though luck was hopefully still in their favour, if they kept their focus. Even if they weren't necessarily going to be done for lunch. But wasn't that part of the fun, the challenge of it? Maybe Mahlioz was too used to being up against seventh-year opponents to be demotivated by much anymore.

Day 2 morning slot
This round seemed to be less intense than the previous ones, both sides opting to go for more defensive options rather than flashy offensive ones. Except for the two cracker jinxes and a Flipendo that launched through the air in search of their targets.
The previous seriously injured Siobhan was looking a lot better and stable on her feet as both her and Vladislav healed her, so much so in fact that even the Flipendo that Pyxis had aimed at her which hit her square in the chest, and would've knocked her out had they not been able to get the healing off in time, didn't knock her out.
With Draven's wand still at his feet it seemed like he had decided that it wasn't worth it to try anything risky and to just watch out in case he became a target, a choice that worked well in his favour as Sere had indeed chosen him as her primary target for the Crackers Jinx she had decided to launch at the opposing team. Although it seemed like even if he hadn't chosen to dodge the exploding crackers he still would've managed to avoid the damage, Pyxis however wasn't that lucky as he got caught by a few stray crackers which had made their way over to him.
Mahlioz seemed to have had the same idea as Sere as she cast her own Cracker Jinx towards the Gryffindors, however as much as the fog they had cast earlier on had definitely helped them it only seemed to hinder her as her spell missed all three of it's possible targets. It was a shame really because even without it doing any damage Mylo could see that it had been a perfect cast, and would've done some serious damage had it hit it's mark.
It would seem like the tides might be changing, although these things were never certain until the last moment in duels like this.

He cast reparifors on his teammate, hoping that it was enough to keep her well again in the midst of this destructive duel that seemed determined on tearing her down. While healing Siobhan, he heard the incantation of the cracker jinx and dodged out of the way before it could hit him and cause his teammates to suffer any further.

They were a couple rounds in already, and it seemed Pyxis was bearing the brunt of the attacks. Both he and Mahl had gotten away unscathed. Though explosions resounded around the snakes, the rubble didn't as much as nick them. Swooping down, Draven's fingers wrapped around his wand. It slid back in its place, warming under his touch.

────────────────────────────────Thankfully her last working brain cells fired rapidly enough that she was able to cast a healing spell on herself, and along with Vlad’s spell, she was feeling slightly less dizzy as she managed to get up and assure their moderator she was still in the game. It would have been worse if Mylo came and tried to drag her off the piste only for her to be conscious. She figured it wouldn’t have boded well.
Eitherway, she was happy her spell had done something good for her head. She was already “that blind girl” she didn’t also need to be “that girl who puked on the dueling floor.” as well

He watched his Knockback Jinx hit his target dead on and he was sure she would go down. But she was bathed in the glow of a familiar healing spell and Pyxis had to release a sound of discontentment. And he’d been caught up by some crackers too. Things hadn’t been going terribly for his team - Draven and Mahlioz were unharmed - but there was always room for things to be better.

Sere herself chose to give some balance with an offensive action. She thought she was best at this.

Hohhhhh my gods. Really? Their nebulus had to turn on them like that? That had been their best cast yet, perhaps ever, and it had been completely useless. Maybe their earlier over-optimism was a little misplaced. At least Hellebore was still on his feet. Though Siobhan was as well. Was it cruel to be disappointed about that? Okay, maybe, but this was duelling, it was the whole point- she was getting distracted, she had to pay attention. Draven had his wand back, thank the stars. They were still in the lead for now.

Day 2 morning slot
It seemed like the Gryffindors were slowly but surely chipping away at the Slytherins, if it would be enough was something they could only conclude at the end.
The Gryffindors seemed to have decided to try and finish this in one go though as all three of them unleashed an onslaught of spells at their opponents, creating pure chaos that left even Mylo with a bit of trouble trying making out exactly what had just transpired. Everyone seemed to still be standing so that was quite impressive by all measures, they hadn't all walked away unscathed however.
As Mahlioz aimed a Ventus at the lions it seemed like the spell took on a life of its own, apparently having a grudge against Vladislav for some reason as all of the 3 gusts of wind aimed themselves at him. Managing to dodge two of the three it seemed like the fog surrounding him had obscured the third gust just enough to clip him and knock him of balance ever so slightly, not as much as if it had hit him head on though.
His duelling partner wasn't so lucky however as Draven's cracker jinx managed to catch Siobhan in it's radius, exploding slightly too close for comfort. However the rest of the explosions were easily dodged, maybe more wasn't always better. Draven got caught in his own spell as well as a few rogue crackers found their way back to their original caster, probably catching the snake off guard.
Pyxis's own spells seemed to have not been obscured enough by the fog as to reach Vladislav, as much as it had seemed a good idea at the beginning Mylo wasn't sure if it had done more harm than good for the Slytherins. Siobhan also seemed to easily sense the oncoming spell and dodge it without any problem.
It looked like the Gryffindors had decided to stick to their previous strategy of getting Siobhan healed up, a strategy that seemed to be working very well for them as she was looking a lot better than she had been. Vladislavs own spell unfortunately only just having been dodged by Pyxis, had he been slightly off though Mylo knew it would've hit him.
It seemed like the Gryffindors were actually healing more than they were taking damage, maybe this would turn the tide in their favour?

Gryffindor VS Slytherin: Match 3
Of course. What in the ding dang diggity dang was this luck? Why was he being subjected with the luck of the cursed irish or whatever that saying was? Why? He was so close to landing a shot of his flipendo. So.. close.
And of course he missed. A sharp cutting breeze hit his face and he felt like he wanted to stand in front of a leaf blower with a smile wide on his face to feel the flapping. That weird sensation.
But that wasn't the annoying part. The most annoying part was being a sore loser. He couldn't lose. No, he wasn't allowed to lose!
