Transfiguration Creation - Year One
Welcome to the First Ever First Year Transfiguration Creation!
“Hello, everyone! Today we have a special assignment!” Good way to start (or startle) the students right. Kasem showed up out of nowhere almost, clapping his hands together. Those around looked a mixture of bored, if they hated this subject, or excited, if they found it fascinating. Once all eyes were on him he continued, “Courtesy of the previous professor, we have a new way of doing transfiguration spells! A slightly more useful way at that too, hopefully at least.”
Kasem moved a bit towards the board using his wand to point towards what was written on there. The spells they had been working on for the last year were jotted down, alongside the equivalent of their new usages.
“For more information on how to use these spells please consult the Transfiguration Spell Book.” Professor Kasem continued. He gestured to the students sitting in their seats. “The goal for today, should you be so bold, is to come up to the front of class and perform whichever spell you’d like on whichever item you’d like.” He showed to the desk where a series of items were lined up - a beat up old shoe, a bowl of pasta, a bowl with salad, a whistle, a watch, matchbox, needles, a stack of books, and two cages, one with a mouse and one with a turtle.Whistle to Watch - Object to Jewelry
Snail to Teapot - Animate object to Table setting
Glass to Sand - Object to Sand
Sauce Making Spell - Sauce Summoning Spell
Matchbox Transformation Spell - Object to Trunk
Matchstick to Needle - Object to Weapon
Reparifarge - Untransfiguration
“If you are successful here as a class, I will make sure to prepare more interesting and incredible challenges in the future!

Lauren adjusts the strap of her bag as she climbs the moving staircases toward the upper towers of Hogwarts. The stone steps shift beneath her feet with their usual stubborn logic, and she pauses once to let a portrait finish loudly debating medieval wand wood before slipping past.
She likes leaving a few minutes early. Transfiguration isn’t a class you rush into.
The corridors grow quieter the higher she climbs. Sunlight spills through narrow windows, catching dust motes in the air and turning them gold. Somewhere in the distance, a suit of armor clanks as she passes, and she absently straightens her sleeves, already reviewing incantations in her head.
When she reaches the circular classroom door, she takes a small breath before entering. Inside, desks are arranged neatly beneath tall windows, and the faint scent of parchment and polished wood lingers in the air.
Lauren slips into her usual seat near the window. She sets down her textbook carefully, smoothing the cover once before opening it. Around her, classmates murmur, some whispering nervously about today’s spell. She doesn’t join in. She watches. She listens. She prepares.
As the door closes and the room falls into attentive silence, Lauren sits a little straighter. Whatever they’re transforming today, she’s ready to understand it — not just change.
Sigh… I hope today’s lesson is not as boring as yesterday’s… Lauren opened her textbook, reading her slightly messy notes.
At last, Professor Kāne arrives. “Hello, class! Today we have a special assignment!” he announced, clapping his hands together. “As you might have seen previously, we have a new way of doing our spells! A way that makes them far more versatile than before!” he continued. Professor Kāne motioned to the board.
Lauren read it, looking around at the other students. They seemed to look slightly interested in what he has got to say. She continued reading the board.
“For more information on how to use these spells please consult our new Transfiguration Spell Book. Your goal today, should you be so bold, is to come up to the front of class and perform whichever spell you’d like on whichever item you’d like.”
A test? No… it’s a… demonstration. Should I volunteer? Yea I should. But… what if I make a mistake in front of the class? She looked at the table. Now there was some ordinary objects: an old shoe, a bowl of pasta, a bowl with salad, a whistle, a watch, matchbox, needles, a stack of books, and two cages, one with a mouse and one with a turtle. She finally decided to volunteer.
Hmm… a whistle…I could cast the whistle to watch spell. The incarnation was… Tunc Sibilus, right?
Lauren stepped to the front of the class, holding her treasured 26,5 cm cherry wood and unicorn hair wand.
She pointed her wand at the whistle. "Tunc Sibilis!"Lauren cried, holding her breath.
She smiled, seeing that the whistle had turned into a watch. She heard some scattered applauding and returned to her seat.

Transfiguration Creation - Year One

Skylar walks into the Transfiguration Classroom, the smell of parchment and ink filling the air. Skylar likes the Transfiguration classroom because of its purposeful atmosphere. So much knowledge is hidden in this classroom. So many opportunities to learn. She turns her head and notices the board was filled with several spells written on it, all from the Year One lessons. She settles down in her seat as Professor Kāne begins the class.
“Hello, class! Today we have a special assignment!” The large professor said, clapping his hands together. “As you might have seen previously, we have a new way of doing our spells! A way that makes them far more versatile than before!”
“Your goal today, should you be so bold, is to come up to the front of class and perform whichever spell you’d like on whichever item you’d like.” With a flourish of his wand, the Professor revealed on his desk a series of items - a beat up old shoe, a bowl of pasta, a bowl with salad, a whistle, a watch, matchbox, needles, a stack of books, and two cages, one with a mouse and one with a turtle.
Skylar chews the inside of her cheek as she thinks over the spell and object she is going to use. She has only learned one spell so far, which was the Whistle to Watch. She eyes the small whistle, which looks like every standard whistle with a cylindrical chamber and a mouthpiece at one end. Her dad has a vintage one, which was just a cylindrical tube, but it makes sense for the professor to get a more modern looking one in the big twenty-first century.
She stands from her seat and makes her way forward to the front of the class. Several pairs of eyes were tracking her movements, but she paid no mind. She gives Professor Kāne a nod and pulls out her wand. She focuses on the silver whistle and imagines it as a watch. She imagines it as her mother’s watch, with a black watch face and little roman numerals for the time. It had this silver encasing around it and the band was this glossy metal with a butterfly clasp.
“Tunc Sibilus!” Skylar states clearly. In an instant, the whistle begins to blur as if it were twirling incredibly fast, becoming a whirlwind of colors. Finally, it settles down into the very form of her mother’s watch. The small watch arms tick with time, and the glossy metal band shines in the light. Skylar gives another nod to Professor Kāne before heading back to her seat.

Transfiguration Creation - Year One
Carina made sure to arrive early to her first lesson of Transfiguration in the third week. How could she not? She has dreamt of being an animagus ever since she knew about them, and loved talking to the animagus her dad worked with. So when she got to class, she rushed to get to the front seats, as it was the happiest day of her life. She also made use of such an early arrival to watch everyone enter and settle in.
“Hello, class! Today we have a special assignment!” The large professor said, clapping his hands together. Those around looked a mixture of bored, if they hated this subject, or excited, if they found it fascinating. Once all eyes were on him, he continued, “As you might have seen previously, we have a new way of doing our spells! A way that makes them far more versatile than before!”

“If you are successful here as a class, I will make sure to prepare more interesting and incredible challenges in the future!"
My gaze immediately settles on the matchbox, remembering the Conmutocus incantation.
My thoughts race.
Could I do it? I mean, we barely had seen it in class- BUT I believe I can perform it. But maybe it is not wisest to do it for the first time in front of the class.
Despite my thoughts, I instinctively raise my hand as I stand up, lowering it as I walk over to the professor's desk.
The match really was simple: wood stick with the red tip that every match has. I pull out my 21,0 cm Holly wood and white river monster spine wand with a snicker that could even come out as arrogant, though I was merely relaxing and thinking that it wouldn't hurt to try.
I barely got the wand in position when the words escaped my mouth, as if some outer force pulled them out of my tongue: "Conmutocus." In that moment, the match turns into a long, slightly thick silver needle, glinting under the light of the classroom. I blink once in astonishment before recovering my composure, giving Professor Kāne a bow of my head before turning to head back to my seat, barely suppressing a satisfied grin.

Transfiguration Creation - Year One
In marked distinction from the other Muggle-born students whom he had struck upon an acquaintance, and indeed unlike many born to the wizard kin, Roland, for some reason or other, possessed a rather unyielding fascination with Transfiguration. He'd heard his fill of the younglings whispering in the corridors, murmuring 'Why would I ever need to turn glass into sand?' or 'Atoms and proton are literally zero fun.' But Roland? Guided by a pride of mind and a secret yearning to shine before the eyes of the world, the boy was utterly moved by this subtle discipline. He took immense pleasure in the practical application; turning one random object into another, or conjuring matter from sheer nothingness held his heart spellbound, as much as a flawlessly executed Shakespeare play. Mind you, dear reader, as an eleven-year-old, he could not possibly grasp the theory in depth. Yet, he was a boy who gave his love to the mysteries he could not conquer, for in his tiny heart, like a true child, he believed he'd mastered all else.
It was for this very reason that he stepped into the classroom with a leaping heart, and great was his gladness to realise that the day's trial would ask him of a bolder craft and freer hand than before. Terribly eager to join the experimentation, he fixed his gaze upon the matchsticks strewn across the desk, somehow confident in his ability to transfigure them. However, casting the spell in its strictly orthodox manner proved uninspiring. Roland craved for a little extra drama, a bit of glamour. Thus, he conceptualised a dagger you'd see in a movie about medieval Persia, straight out of some Aladdin-style desert kingdom. It had to possess a keen edge, a slight curve, a brilliant metallic sheen. Pointing his wand made of cypres tree right at the matchsticks waiting for his move, he confidently pronunced the incantation, "Conmutocus!" In the silence followed, the Marin boy waited. Would he be cast down in shame, or rise crowned in victory? He had to wait and see.
I'd love to have my spell rolled! Thanks! WC: 342

Transfiguration Creation - Year One

created by brookline quinn!
Transfiguration (as well as several other classes Pyce didn't want to think about right now) was not Pyce's strong suit. At least- not as far as they had observed. They shivered, thinking about the mess of sand they had to clean in the library one time. No one had come after them looking for the missing glass case, so Pyce assumed they had gotten away with that without anyone noticing.
Either way, Pyce had little faith in themself and their wand. Which was perhaps a bit unfair. They understood Transfiguration just fine, it was when they tried their hand at the actual magic where they tended to stumble.
But Pyce had been doing somewhat better as the year went on. Maybe- Maybe they could try this. The Gryffindor sucked in a small breath and walked to the front of the classroom. It was a short walk, considering Pyce liked sitting closer to the front anyway.
On the desk were several items, but Pyce was most interested in the matchbox. Not for the box itself, but its contents. They acquired one of the matches inside. It was just a normal match, red phosphorus head on a spindly stick body. And Pyce was going to make it... Not that.
Something simple, a knife, maybe? A serrated knife sounded too hard, or, at least somewhat awkward for the magic. So- a paring knife? That would work. Hopefully. Pyce thought briefly of turning the match into a pretty dagger, and then promptly banished the thought. They were going to be lucky if they could get a knife out of this. So, paring knife. Hopefully not too hard?
Pyce stared at the match, wand firmly in their left hand. Then, deciding they had already been up front long enough, an embarrassed blush starting to dust their cheeks, they went for it.
"Conmutocus!" Pyce held their breath. This had to work
I would like my spell rolled, please! Thank you!!

Selina climbed up the stairs in a hurry. She was late. Not that it was her first time being so. As she climbed up the stairs, she thought that Transfiguration, might just be one of the classes shes gonna enjoy. The thought of turning something useless into something useful, was suprisingly nice. It was raining outside, and that got her in a slight better mood over her exhaustion.WC: 528
When she finally reached the door to the Transfiguration, she took a deep breath before reaching for the doorknob. She didnt wanna look like som idiot walking in late to class and hoped that she would as quiet an entrance as possible. She opened the door and it creaked slightly, like almost every other door in this old castle. As she went in she saw te many desks set neatly up beside eachother and saw how the students were already seated. A few glanced at her, but she just ignored and took a seat at the window, to admire the rain. Luckily the class had just begun, meaning she didnt miss anyting important.
“Hello, class! Today we have a special assignment!” The large professor said, clapping his hands together. That woke her slightly up.
“As you might have seen previously, we have a new way of doing our spells! A way that makes them far more versatile than before!” That woke her and most other students in the class slightly more up, with fascination. Proffessor Kāne continued talking as he pointed at the words on the board.
“For more information on how to use these spells please consult our new Transfiguration Spell Book.” Professor Kāne continued. “Your goal today, should you be so bold, is to come up to the front of class and perform whichever spell you’d like on whichever item you’d like.” With a flourish of his wand, the Professor revealed on his desk a series of items. "This was certanly interestin", She thought to herself. Maybe she should volunteer, perhaps win a few house points or win some respect as she succeeds. But there was also the possibilty of failing and making a fool of herself, but it was time she took a risk, right?
On the table there were some objects which was meant to be turned into something new: an old shoe, a bowl of pasta, a bowl with salad, a whistle, a watch, matchbox, needles, a stack of books, and two cages, one with a mouse and one with a turtle.
And for the first time without hesitation she, shot her hand up in the air and said:
"I would like to try proffessor" Proffesor Kaine nodded and Selina proceeded to the table with objects. She had chosen the matchstick to needle spell. There was something about, the abolity to turn anything into a weapon, that almost felt comforting? As she stood there, she got her wand and prepared to cast the spell. She targeted the matchstick and yelled:
" Conmutocus!" To her suprise, the matchstick had become a silver needle. She smiled satisfied as the class clapped softly. She returned to her seat happily, looking out the window once more
She adores pretty things and witty words
Transfiguration Creation - Year One
Madeline sits at the front of the class, like she does in all of her classes, with her quill, ink, parchment, and wand sitting on the table ready for use. The Professor walks to the front of the class and begins...
After two students go to the front and do their test, Madeline realizes what she needs to do. She will do the whistle to watch, but it is not going to be a normal watch. She is going to take this whistle and turn it into a silver pocket watch with the Ravenclaw symbol on the top, and her father's initials JH on the back in a flowing script. She takes the next two students' turns to visualize the watch in her mind.

Madeline sits there as other students raise their hand and go up to the front turning one object into another using the skills that they have learned this year. She thinks about what she would like to do. Should she just go with the basic whistle to watch, maybe make it something more difficult? Or should she try to take the turtle and make it into an inanimate object - although, animals really aren't her forte. He motioned to the board that had the spells they had been working on for the last year and the equivalent of it’s new usages.

The long silver chain with flat links, and a 3 cm long T-bar. The end without the watch will have a flat medallion on it, with her mother's initials IH on it in the same flowing script as her father's initials.
Next, she focuses on the watch itself. The bow and crown of the watch connected to the chain are the only parts that have a golden sheen to them. The case of the watch is the same metallic silver as the chain, and back of the watch. The crystal has a slight reddish hue to it - but not enough for it to affect the clarity of the watch. She envisions Roman Numerals for the numbers, and two small wand style hands that move around the dial.
Once the student at the front is complete with their transfiguration, Madeline raises her hand, saying, "I would like to go next." Once she is recognized to come to the front, she grabs her wand, and continues to focus on the exact image that she wants for this watch. She steps to the front of the class, picks up the whistle from the table and places it on the demonstration table. With her mind focused on the image she has created about the silver pocket watch, and chain, she takes her wand, and with a strong purposeful voice says the incantation, "Tunc Sibilus" and flourished her wand just as the professor had shown her all year. Before her eyes, the metallic whistle began to reshape itself, slowly at first, then quicker as the spell took hold, into the very image that Madeline held so firmly in her mind.

Transfiguration Creation - Year One
Gracie walks into the Transfiguration class chatting to her friend, Madi Jackson, and they take a seat in the second row. She unpacks her quill and her wand and sits them in front of her. The bell rings, signaling that you should be in class by now, and if not you need to hurry. Professor Kāne stands up from his desk and says:
“Hello, class! Today we have a special assignment! As you might have seen previously, we have a new way of doing our spells! A way that makes them far more versatile than before! For more information on how to use these spells please consult our new Transfiguration Spell Book. If you are successful here as a class, I will make sure to prepare more interesting and incredible challenges in the future!
As Professor invites up the first student to perform a spell, Gracie thinks about which spell she wants to do. "I could do the Whistle to Watch spell? But most people would be doing that one" she thought. "I think I'll do the Sauce-Making Spell" she concludes. The student finishes, successfully turning glass into sand. Professor Kāne claps his hands together.
"Who's next?" She raises her hand and he invites her up. Gracie walks to the front of the class and browses everything to transfigure. A beat up old shoe, a bowl of pasta, a bowl with salad, a whistle, a watch, matchbox, needles, a stack of books, and two cages, one with a mouse and one with a turtle. She picks up the bowl of pasta and places it on the front of Professor Kāne's desk. "Doing the Sauce-Making Spell are we?" Gracie nods, "Yes sir"
She closes her eyes and takes a deep breath, Gracie pictures the bowl of pasta, now covered in red, tomato sauce. Gracie opens her eyes and stares straight at the bowl. She takes another deep breath and she says in a unwavering voice the incantation that Professor Kāne taught them a few weeks back. "Condimentum!"
Gracie watches as sauce slowly spreads across the pasta bowl, until it covers the entire bowl. "Great job, Miss Taylor!" Professor Kāne says and I go back to my seat.
