Landon prepared to cheer for Sage again, excited to root for his teammate, but when he opened his mouth, his voice just wasn't there. He must have been cheering too hard the last time, because no noise came out. He flushed, a bit embarrassed, but tried to shake it off, instead focusing on the match at hand. He wanted to watch every moment. Quidditch was always so exciting. He barely noticed how miserable the weather was now, too focused on the match.

Jada flew onto the pitch, having been subbed on. They were down by thirty points. Not a huge amount but still slightly demoralising. The Hufflepuff beaters seemed especially vicious today, having hit many of the Slytherin players. Jada wasn't able to help all of them, but it was the least she could do to help Oliver.

He had been glared at. Him. The man currently serving a penalty lap he did not deserve — well, arguably did not deserve — had just been glared at by someone (@Milica Vranekova) who looked like a first year and had apparently decided goth aesthetic extended to battlefield intimidation. Lea was a non-playing captain, which meant the closest thing to democracy on the Hufflepuff side was Mamori himself, and glaring at the sole authority issuing orders with that level of intent was a bold strategic choice that he was more than happy to honour. Midway through his lap, he swung alongside @Sage Willows and unleashed a frantic sequence of hand signals accompanied by very deliberate lip-syncing — the full message being, roughly translated, omg that goth just looked at me with her scary Slytherin eyes I am shaking please remove her from my field of view. And Sage, to her credit, delivered. Mamori took a moment to fully appreciate the resulting descent, then banked away to finish his lap.

This was going rather well, in Sage's opinion. They'd taken the lead in points and in players not currently on their way to the hospital wing, those bludgers left a nasty bruise. Her teammate and captain, Mamori, caught her eye, making some exaggerated motions with his hands. Why was reading lips so hard when you were midair?

Things took a turn for the better for the Hufflepuff team. They scored thirty points in the lead, so far, and hopefully that was just the beginning. However, Gabriele was still on the bench, booing the shit out of any Slytherin in his line of sight. “BOOO!” he screamed for probably the thousandth time in the last minutes. He coughed. Ugh, at this rate he'd lose his voice before half-time. Worth it.

Pam winced as she smacked into the girl, Violeta, and pain quickly flared across her arm. Not that that was anything new, she glanced around at the girl, and called, "Sorry! I'm sorry!" She was rather sorry. Getting elbowed couldn't have been a very happy feeling, even if it was a decently common thing in the game. But she couldn't escape unscathed, getting caught and being sent off to a penalty lap.

On the bright side, they were doing decently well, so maybe they'd be alright.

Avery doesn't let up, branching off on her own this time to chase one of the bludgers across the field. She pulls up in the path of it, angling her broom and winding back her arm. The bat makes contact and she redirects it back the way it came, her eye on two of the Slytherin players. Another well placed hit and two more players off their broom. She takes the brief moment to look around the pitch before she darts forward once more.

Yet again Oliver fell, but this wasn't his fault. The person that had caught him fell, and in that chaos Oliver again plummeted to the ground. He braced for impact, ready for grass and dirt, but found himself caught once more. He couldn't get a break it seamed, damn this match. He didn't know the girl that caught him well, he hadn't been paying attention but he was fairly sure she was a second string... something. Who cared. Not when all the people in the stands had seen him floating like a dunce, hit behind the back, caught, then falling again, and caught again. With this much shame he would be better off making a useless attempt at dueling.
