schools here are banned from having phones and all in the classroom as of March 28th 2025. We cannot have personal devices in classes other than the school issued chromebook provided to us. Even then, there's been a push (not that it's effective) to make everything pencils and papers but chromebooks are used a lot more for easier grading, the ability to keep your homework in one place, and for easy monitoring.Laasya Manjunath wrote: 25 Feb 2026, 14:03Oh wow! I love not having the stuff taken away, though I always put my phone face down and turned off during the professor's lecture in front of me so he can see I'm paying attention

oh I always used my phone and complained when it was taken away. funnily enough, now that I have the freedom to use my phone whenever I want, I always pay attention.
