A bit of a strange question… the things I buy in different shops here, does Max HAVE to own them IC?

I don't think so. Maybe he owns them but you don't need to mention it.

Let’s say that I am saving for a broom. When I buy one, I know that I can RP that Max owns it. But does he have to? If in a family where money is tight, there would be little left over for expensive brooms xD So could I for example say that Max «borrows» the broom form an unnamed friend?
