Tears Have Been Shed Finished

Breana chuckled as Ruby agreed to hanging out with her. "It'd be nice to have someone the way around here, since you're a Second Year and all." She smiled. She made a mental note to herself to tell her mother about the new Slytherin senior she met in her monthly letters (though of course she would avoid mentioning the fact that she accidentally insulted the entire Slytherin table to get to that point.)

"Oh, y-you don't have to cover for us like that... but it'd be nice to chat along with you while we get there. I-if you want, of course." She offered. Even though she hadn't thought about it when she offered the walk back in, it would give the Ravenclaw some bonus popular points if she's seen by her peers with a senior, and a prefect at that. As Ivy mentioned their next class, her eyes lit up with delight. "History of Magic!!" She rummaged in her robe's pocket, taking out a neatly folded piece of paper. "It's... only a couple of minutes left before class time." Breana looked up, trying to do the clock math in her head. "If we head off now, we can make it in time to get to our seats." She smiled, tucking the paper back in her robe. She would prefer to be punctual of course, but another reason why she wants to head to class on time is because History of Magic would greatly help her a lot with her situation. Despite having a mother who had the Hogwarts experience herself, they never thought Breana would've gotten the magic gene, so her knowledge of the wizarding world is severely lacking then she would've cared to admit.

She glanced over at Ruby as she whispered to her. Breana nodded, and whispered back to her. "Very much so... T-thanks, Ruby." She said before nodding over to the way back to the Hogwarts interior. "We best be heading off, yeah?" She said as she walked ahead, mostly with a tinged of fear of being late.

The trio headed up the castle together - although you couldn't really call it a trio, exactly, as it was more like Ruby and Breana walking together and Ivy standing awkwardly to the side. She wasn't quite sure of how to talk to them and kept her gaze focused stubbornly on the path ahead of her, trying to ignore the whispers coming from the other two girls' direction. Ivy was wondering if they were talking about her when Breana spoke up loudly.

"We'd best be heading off, yeah?"

The Ravenclaw pushed past Ivy without looking at her, walking rather quickly as if hoping that Ivy wouldn't catch up. The Gryffindor brushed the sudden hurt off. What did she expect? A smile? Ivy shook her head at her own stupidity and glanced back at the Slytherin prefect.

She contemplated whether to let her catch up before deciding against it. Ruby would probably have nothing but harsh words for her anyway, and Ivy's pride had taken enough battering that morning.

"Um, well, I guess I'll see you 'round?" Ivy offered, rather awkwardly. Dammit, Ivy! Social tact, 0. She didn't wait for an answer, too scared to see the prefect's face, and turned on her heel to walk back up to the castle quickly - though, not as so quickly to catch up to Breana. Ivy thought the Ravenclaw had heard enough from her already, and she couldn't help but agree. Honestly, what had gone through her mind that morning?
