Book In The Day of Zombies Book

Thats me Dean, Dean Day ah no no thats a zombie I’m over there yep thats me the short and scruffy seventeen year old. I’m not a zombie well not yet at least. I hope I’m not the only living human that would be a bummer because I wouldn't get to see my best friend Jasper anymore. You see Jasper has been my friend since pre-school and I don’t know what I’d do without him. So my current problem is that I have no idea where Jas is or if he’s even ok. Well you may be wondering what in the world is going on and I’d love to tell you but I have no fucking clue but theres zombies and its been like this for three months. I still remember where I was when the outbreak happened. I was off in my dad’s old tree house reading comics like I always did on fridays. The zombies weren't a slow development like some may think but then again anything can happen in a few seconds like a car crash or asking your crush out. There were some things I found out about zombies after accidentally causing a rack in a gas-station to fall over trying to avoid one, zombies aren’t fast or remotely strong but loud sounds just attract more of them so yeah zombies are dumb.

 I’m only writing in this because it appears that I’m alone again and that I have no-one to talk to other than some mindless zombies that once were my crappy parents. Whatever I’m not writing this to vent about my parents I’m writing this to document what is obviously the end of the world. So yeah looks like the world has ended my best friend is nowhere to be found but then again I haven’t left my parents basement because why would I? I had my dad’s camp stove, the basement fridge and bathroom and my sleeping bag and the radio that only worked for half a month after the I don’t know went wrong. I‘m starting to wonder how I didn’t become a zombie. I’ll update again soon as long as I’m not a zombie. 

Yeah my mom is a zombie and I don’t really know what to do about that or the abundance of rotten food. At the beginning of the three months it was easy to keep and make food but now it was things like stale Pop tarts and Oreos. I was getting tired of tasteless cereal so at some point I had raided a gas-station for jerky where I learned like I said that zombies are dumb. Other than that your probably wondering what I’ve been doing during these three months well I’ve been looking to see if I couldn't find any living thing and living out of my late dad’s tree house because I couldn't handle my only parent being a rotting smelling zombie and it was easier to be alone then knowing I may be the only person around because I had been out looking for Jasper without any success much to my dismay. I missed my friend. I've been looking everywhere for him. I even cased his house to find nothing. I’ve started to look for him in the zombies to only not have him turn up. The loneliness is starting to get to me. I’ve started talking to my german sheppard plushie that I’ve had forever.

The only reason I have had power these past three months was because my step dad was a complete nut job because he thought that the end of the world was soon so he stocked up on gas for the generator. Well I guess he was right about something for once. So the generator was running the fridge in the basement and some of the lights. I'm grateful that the fridge was stocked with frozen stuff I could make on the camp stove and that I don't have to dig into the MREs yet because I had no clue what was in them.

It's not my fault for once that something happened. Even if it was my virus that spread. I mean I and the other scientists had the quote on quote cure for it but we’re three months in. I think it’s a bit too late to administer the vaccine considering that the majority of the human population are zombies. Oh I should introduce myself I’m Brynn Sidereal, Doctor Brynn Sidereal that is. I’m a scientist at Cloud Bay International or CBI for short. We were working on a weapon for uhhh reasons not that it matters. I still don't know how the virus got out but I think that someone might have grabbed the one I was working on and took it for testing thinking it was theirs.

I embarrassingly spent most of my night talking to my plushie. I mean I'm a seventeen year old guy. But it's whatever you know? It's the apocalypse so I think that's fine.


I went out today again to look for Jasper and I saw some of the zombies and they weren't looking any better than they did when they got infected. Well actually they were looking a lot worse like they were starting to ooze or something I didn't get close enough to see though. I think they're starting to decompose but I'm not sure how long it takes for a body to decompose. I probably should go to the library to read up on that.
