Naps and Forgotten Quills, Mind You open

Kevin laughed nervously as he watched the interaction at his table, he didn't know how it escalated to this. He didn't know at all. All he wanted to do was sleep, then do some homwork. Yet, he was once again caught in a group of people that had been interrupting his sleep. He didn't know what he was going to do. He also didn't know how this was going to work out seeing as there seemed to be tension growing among his peers that had been sitting at his table.

However, at the same time he was going to speak up, Willow was swooping in and coming to the rescue. Kevin was suddenly glad and he didn't know what he would do he was ever left alone with someone he didn't know. He didn't know what to think, and he really didn't know what to say when the girls had suddenly calmed down and apologized. Sure, he was a nice person and sure he didn't mind helping out with homework every once and a while but he didn't know how to work with people that are loud. Especially loud females.

Kevin rubbed the back of his head and said, "Right, well, uh, now that this, uh, tension is revolved, I haven't done my herbology homework either. I was actually going to do that after I finish my charms homework."

The Ravenclaw boy had been silent for a long time, and when he spoke up, Ivy nearly jumped out of her skin. She had almost forgotten he was there.

"Right, well, uh, now that this, uh, tension is revolved, I haven't done my herbology homework either. I was actually going to do that after I finish my charms homework."

Ivy smothered a smile at the way Kevin described the clash between her and Toni. It was a bit more than just tension. If it hadn't been for Willow, it would have most certainly escalated much more. Her ears pricked up at the the mention of charms.

"Charms?" she asked, just to clarify. "Is it that essay? Because I-" Ivy fished around for it in her pocket before pulling said essay out. "-finished it last night. I can help if you want," she offered, raising her eyebrows.

Ivy got up and moved to the other side of the table, sitting down next to Kevin. She unfolded the many pages of parchment before realizing that her calligraphic writing might be a little hard to decipher.

"Um, sorry. I don't know if you can't read this very well." She smiled sheepishly. Although it was neat, the writing took a fairly trained eye to read it properly. She was lucky that the professors here at Hogwarts had most likely encountered plenty other purebloods like her who would have had a similar way of writing, or her homework would have been handed back to her plenty of times.

Her mind wandered back to Lillian - she, too, wrote like Ivy. Their rebellious younger sister, Alison, was the only one who steadfast refused to write in the same fancy way, choosing to half-scrawl her letters instead. With a wistful smile, she straightened up in her seat and shook her head, as if trying to shake thoughts of her family away.

A sigh of relief escaped from Willow's lips as the tension between the two seemed to simmer down. She sent a small smile Kevin's way, with a look in her eyes that was a little angry that he didn't help her out. But, there was no time to stick in the past. She noticed that Ivy seemed to have something going on due to her general attitude, but she couldn't tell if that's just kind of the person she was or if something deeper was happening. Now wasn't exactly the time to ask her though because of the setting they were in, and the amount of people they were around. She took a note to ask about it later.

As Ivy moved to help Kevin with his Charms homework, Willow moved around to help Toni with hers. "There's a lot to memorize in herbology, I'm sure it can be quite a lot. My family really love plants and nature so I feel like I have a natural knack to pick the subject super easily. What exactly are you struggling with? That's as good a starting place as any for making sure you have the right information, since herbology is a pretty... wide topic to need help with." She smiled confidently at Toni, hoping she could she that she was ready and prepared to help. "You wouldn't happen to be good at transfiguration are you? Because that's where I'm struggling the most." Changing the shape of objects was not something she could wrap her head around, especially trying to explain the reason why people were able to transfigure blew her mind.
