Romeo And Juliet

Ivy had first stumbled across a copy of Shakespeare's Romeo And Juliet in the Library on a rainy day, two weeks ago. She had been studying when a heavy book above her fell out of its shelf and collided with her head with a loud bang!
With her eyes watering and her lips swearing fluenty (and quite loudly, as well), Ivy picked the book up and wondered why it had to land on her head.
At the time, she'd thought herself unlucky. Now, she was grateful, even though it had left her with a big bruise. Looking at the shelf the book had fallen out of, Ivy had realized it was a Muggle book, and out of curiosity, had begun to read it. A few hours later, she left with the book tucked under arm and a smile on her face.
One week later, she realized that just reading the book was not satisfying enough and wondered if she could create a play with the other Hogwarts students. Posters had gone up around the castle, asking people to audition for the play. Now, sitting on the edge of the stage, Ivy hugged the book to her chest and wondered if anyone would show up.

Romeo And Juliet

Leanne, like many of the other students in the school, had obviously noticed the new posters being put up in the school, about a student-initiated play of Romeo and Juliet. It came to her shock that morning, waking up groggily and tired, just to notice a new enormous poster partially covering the bathroom mirror! How it ended there was a surprise to her, maybe the person organising this is a Ravenclaw, she reasoned.
Throughout the day, there was talk about this new event, whether or not to attend. The poster was looked beautifully and professionally made, at first glance, it could pass off as a poster made by the professors for official events. Leanne had read the book before in her free time, and she knew its plot. Contemplating whether to go due to her poor acting skills (she had auditioned previously for a musical in her previous muggle school, and failed to get even the most basic part. Truly, it was a humiliating experience for her.), she ended up deciding to go. At least, she could have fun and make new friends even if she couldn't act well.
The audition was held at the Rehearsal Room immediately after classes ended that day, in a room Leanne never had heard of previously. Thankfully, the well-designed poster had instructions on where to go, and she went through twisting staircases and never seen-before corridors, before arriving at the room. Pushing open the wooden door, she looked in to realise that she was the only one there at that moment, save a small first-year clutching a copy of the book.
She must have organised it then, Leanne realised. The Gryffindor girl didn't notice when she entered, so she took the liberty of introducing herself. "Hi, I'm Leanne, and I'm here for the auditions!" Looking towards the small girl (Leanne would never admit that she was always small.). "So you're the one who organised this?"

Romeo And Juliet
When Dawn saw the audition posters her eyes immediately lit up, although at first with uncertainty. She had heard murmurs about the entire things in her classes and the halls but didn't think much of it, figuring it was some exclusive cool person gossip, but the chance to actually be in a play...!!!
Now, Dawn wasn't really actress material. Actually, she'd rather be a part of the backstage crew, but she didn't think this play was going to be that serious. She thought it was going to be something small and for fun but she didn't know exactly. Just in case, and also because she actually wanted to try out, Dawn had decided to audition for a minor role, something with just enough lines for her to get experience and have fun.
The modernized version of Romeo and Juliet downplayed a lot of things that Shakespeare had originally written so Dawn had spent a lot of her free time studying the scripts, especially to get an idea of what particular part she would be interested in. She'd never taken part in theatre arts nor watched Broadway shows so this was all relatively new to her. But the fun she had reading the scripys inspired her even more to audition, so being a complete newbie to acting didn't detur her.
Gripping her scripts tightly in her hand, she made her way quickly to the Rehearsal Room, hoping isn't wasn't going to be too full of other people trying out. She wandered who was going to try out for Juliet, Romeo, and Mercurtio. Dawn was going to audition for...Balthasar. It was a male character but he only had twelve lines, just enough for Dawn. She blushed a little, wondering how people would react seeing that a girl was playing a male role, even though it didn't really matter either way.
Dawn pushed through the Rehearsal Room doors and was astonished to fine merely two occupants. She had been sure that it'd be full of people, but she guessed that she'd overestimated people's interest. That or she was rather early.
She walked tentatively over to the two girls, recognizing one as her roommate, and stood there awkwardly for a moment before saying, a little bit too loudly for the just the three of them, “Hello, I'm Dawn. I'm auditioning for the minor role Balthasar...?”
