DEBUFF FOULS

After the success of last round and still too far away from the snitch to grasp it, Violeta set out to rough up another eagle. The next target was Winnie after her aid in Aly's speedy catch attempt. Pretending to be following in order to get a better sight of the snitch, the Slytherin shoved her elbow into the side of Winnie, the jab and successive pain a temporary stun leaving her disoriented and unable to call out what had just transpired. Violeta went unnoticed a second time.

SECOND STRING

Continuing the streak, everyone cheered- a chain of positivity for Violeta and Oliver as they skated around the sky with their searches for snitches and targets. How anticipation grew excitement, everyone focused on their own and that last needed push. The Ravenclaw bench remained rather silent this time around, although it seemed the entire team had taken a sudden mid-game break, perhaps regaining some needed strength.

Hoping to keep Violeta's opportunity open, Percival moved to keep Aly away, acting as a general nuisance in flying in front of her vision. It appeared similarly to two indecisive people trying to cross paths, a constant side-stepping battle that Percival seemed almost proficient in, the moderator wondering if it could be considered a foul or if it was just strange luck. They'd hesitate, whistle prepared yet silent.

BEATERS

The Slytherin Beaters had a tag-team strategy going on- Percival attack, Oliver strike while the Seeker was distracted. This hand off required a bit more coordination that normal, Oliver hoping to perfectly time his swing to catch Percival's 'side-step' and find the next closest target of Aly. The Slytherin would rush off to find the bludger, swiveling around to put as much momentum and swing into the ball and hurtle it towards the two- yet in over-excitement, the bludger would rush squarely to Percival instead. With a shout, Percival received enough warning to shuffle out of the way, yet their attack against Aly was lost as the Ravenclaw regained her focus for the next round.

Percival felt the wind rush his hair, as he flew through the air towards Aly. Focusing on his goal he would not notice what his teammate was doing until he heard a loud shout. Percival's gaze snapped to his left as he looked up just in time to see a bludger headed towards him. With an angry curse the boy dodged quickly to the side. Feeling the rush of air as the bludger sailed past him. Percival would quickly sit straight up to glare at Oliver with an annoyed look. "Watch where you're hitting!" he would yell at his teammate. With a sneer the boy would dip his broom down to fly away from the other.

1. In the role of Beater, if you hit an opponent with a bludger the bludger will then ricochet off that user and target a second opponent of choice (must be declared, if not declared the target will be random and can be an ally but not yourself).

2. In the role of Beater, if an ALLY dodges a bludger during the round, there is a 20% chance that you catch that bludger with your bat and you send it at a RANDOM enemy target.

3. In the role of Beater, if you critically hit with a bludger, instead of doing double-damage you do 2.5x damage. If you critically fail with your bludger attempt to hit, rather than having your bludger randomly target another user (including yourself or an ally) the bludger cannot target you on a critical fail (but it can still target your allies). On a re-target, there is a random roll for target and then a fresh accuracy roll.

Expectations blur with morality, the way the cheers blurred together. Her team's morale seemed to have strengthened with each opponent they took down; however, they were still some points behind.

But that was the thing with hope.

A spark, when given a fresh puff of air, could light a whole forest.

But also taints morality if the flame is not controlled. Smothered like the silence Nabi sought, yet was expected to ignore as she continued to cheer calmly from her seat.

What a funny thing. Lottie was bored.

The game zoomed by in front of her eyes, yelps and shouts carrying over the wind and dying out before they could reach Lottie's ears. She sat on her broom, right in front of the hoops, waiting for someone to swoop in and attempt to score. Waiting, and waiting, and waiting. She could not for the life of her understand how Slytherin was still at the disadvantage here, what with Ravenclaw's apparent streak of spending entire blocks of time in dormancy.

Lottie huffed out a sigh and swung her legs. She was ready, in fact she had been ready for quite a while now, but still she was forced to wait until someone took another shot at the hoops. The least her team could do was attempt a few points.

The unnoticed fouling and clear illegal plays were getting on Avis' nerves as she watched her teammates get blatched and cobbed left and right. It seemed as though the ref had been in fact apart of Slytherin house because this was absolutely ridiculous. Of course, the young Ravenclaw herself had already served a penalty lap earlier for similar behavior but the Slytherins' fouls were going by quite unnoticed. Dirty snakes.

The more frustrating factor was the fact that all she could do was stand by and watch for fear of getting ejected... although technically no one was ever opposed to a healthy fight during a Quidditch match. Avis grinned, tempted for a moment, but managed to maintain the last of her self control. Another penalty lap was not what the birds needed at the moment.
