Hide and Seek Finished

Alan was walking alongside the younger Gryffindor, a second year he had met a few days before at a Tea Party and the kid seemed nice. It might be a bit questionable that he refused to wear shoes, but who was Alan to judge him, at least he was wearing multiple pairs of socks, mismatched of course- so he would not catch a cold or freeze. Or so the older and slightly taller boy thought.

There appeared to be a flyer on the pin board as they headed through the Small Hall and towards the Great Hall to go and grab some food. The classes for this Monday were over and Ruka had been free, so Alan had taken the opportunity to go and drag the younger lion towards the place, where they could fill their stomach with all kinds of food. Alan could not even understand why Ruka did not go there on his own anymore, he knew that Ruka was sad and Ruka pretty much has told him enough about the why... so maybe Ruka wanted to avoid eating because it is where he usually met the kid he was talking about. The fedora boy. Then again, Alan could probably not call him that anymore, after all Ruka had the fedora now and has been wearing it every single day since.

The lion shook his head, his eyes narrowing and focusing on the flyer on the board, as he nudge Ruka into the side ever so gently, "H-Hey look, they arranged a hide and seek game for all over Hogwarts and its g-grounds! W-wanna go ahead and sign up?", we would just have to go and sign our names.

He stepped closer to the poster pinned against the bulletin board, before glancing back at Ruka, who did not look convinced. "Come on... I'm sure it will be fun! I just don't really k-know anyone who joined this so far... so it would not be as fun-", he murmured as he tapped against the list of sign ups. A few students have listed their names of which a few names did sound familiar. Still, Alan did not really know any of them well, so it might be awkward for him to just join. "Please...?".

Time was such an odd thing, sometimes lasting only seconds and other times sorrowful decades. Today, it seemed, had been a century of wasteful classes and little to no socialization, but this was a lifestyle Persephone found rather attractive. With all the events of her first year so far, rare moments where class was the only thing plaguing her mind were beautiful, a much needed break from the abundance of burdens she’d carried. The Slytherin trudged into the hall, her legs aching with the desire to rest after having had such an active day. Not only were her classes exhausting, Persy had finally found the time to begin participating in her own hobbies again. It was too cold to swim, beside it being a ticket to detention, but nothing had stopped her from running a good length before her evening feast.

This weariness was blinding, so much so that she hardly noticed those around her clouding to a spot on the doorway, where a single piece of parchment was taped in clear view. Although her curiosity was quickly piqued, the small crowd was an immediate red-flag. It seemed as though Persy’s relationship with people was one that couldn’t be described as pleasant. Occasionally, disdainful looks were shot at her as if they thought it would cause real damage, piercing her like a dull blade. No, all it did was further the points the blonde had believed her entire life. The world was full of sheep, and the safety of Hogwarts was no exception. Those who weren’t sheep were wolves wearing their coats. Persephone, however, was simply a wolf.

Persy watched closely as the crowd read her mind, thinning out as the students retreated to the Great Hall, or to an otherwise unimportant destination. Approaching the parchment, adorned with names of pointless faces, a very limited few recognizable, her emerald eyes scanned over as a faint smirk made itself known.

Hide and Seek they called it, referring to the majority. In Persy’s head, it was better referred to as Another Method of Torture Designed Specifically to Ruin Your First Year. It was ideal, the blonde supposed, to not ponder her reasoning for continuing to participate in these torture sessions, as if the fact that she always ended up angry was not reason enough to avoid them. Errand after errand, and now a silly game, but there was something undeniably appealing about the anarchy that accompanied her wherever she went.

Her teeth clenched, even her body informing her of the stupidity of this decision, Persephone pulled out her quill and signed her name in scratchy, rushed handwriting.

[font=Bradley Hand ITC]As she was walking down the small hall she spotted a flyer. It was for hide and seek. Man, that brought back so many memories, and her childhood flashed before her eyes. Playing hide and seek with Abby. In the light, in the dark even. Those had been good times. She decided to sign up, maybe even interact with new people. She vaguely remembered Rafa mentioning that he was doing this too, so this gave her a chance to see him too.[/font]

[font=Bradley Hand ITC]She had done it. Reading the poster she realized it was already Saturday. It was too late and she would have to wait for the next round. That was fine with her. This also gave her a chance to get some more chocolate frogs. She had gotten one in her life. On the train to Hogwarts, she had opened her chocolate frog and had gotten Albus Dumbledore. At the time she had no idea who that was. Now she did. [/font]

[font=Bradley Hand ITC]He was the famous Headmaster of Hogwarts during the second great war. She was glad she had not gone through that but she wished she would've gotten to meet him.[/font]
