Private interaction with @Lilith Darcy
It was impossible not to notice Lilith's hand remaining in his for a moment longer than an introduction called for. The contact left him feeling a way that he had never felt before. Sure, he had chatted with a pretty girl before and maybe even had flirted once or twice before. Those situations left him feeling good as the attention was nice and it pleased him that he was able to make the pretty girls giggle or smile, but this moment with Lilith was quite different. As her soft hand slowly slid out of his it left a warmth spreading through his belly that felt completely unfamiliar. It was not the adrenaline that came with casting magic or the excitement that came from nailing an exam. What was this? Where did it come from? Regardless, he wanted more.
Harvey had often rolled his eyes at his lovesick peers as they went on and on about this girl or boy. What a waste of time! There were spells to master and potion recipes to memorize, yet here they were with minds consumed by crushes and infatuations. However, with his eyes locked on Lilith's there was a draw that was yanking him in fast. In just a moment she had embedded herself in his mind and he knew then and there that she was going to be a part of his life. The feeling was exciting, but it also left him nervous. In every relationship whether it be friend or merely acquaintance Harvey looked for a way to maintain a sense of control. How was he supposed to do that when she affected him in such a way? A slight part of him was tempted to cut and run, but then she smiled...
"A tradition of Slytherin, lovely." Harvey didn't hold house affiliation in such a high regard as many people did. It was mostly just a color to wave in an attempt to give students a reason to bond, but he did appreciate the personality traits that usually went hand in hand. "The outcast Ravens, eh?" Harvey matched her sarcastic tone. As much as he was often envious of pureblood houses with their wealth and influence, he was glad not to have family pressure on him for such things. "Perhaps you will break the mold as well?" He asked in unison as she took her jab at house Slytherin.
Harvey smirked at the comment. House pride was only something he faked when the situation called for it. A star quidditch player enters the conversation? Oh yes, go Slytherin go! The fact that she was eager to break from family tradition showed him that her mind and personality was strong. Harvey couldn't stand those weak of will. He also appreciated her willingness to throw a jab his way. It made her all the more interesting as she hinted at a sense of playfulness, but just enough of an edge not to be too cutesy. "Too sneaky? I'd say expertly calculated." He finished with a wink. "Something about you tells me you might like that, but maybe you're better off with those oh so humble Hufflepuffs." It was out of character for him to poke fun, but he'd do anything to catch another smile from the beauty.
As another firework soared overhead, Harvey took a moment to let it pass by. "So, Lilith. Regardless of which house you are sorted, may I call on you after you get settled in? I could show you around the school. Help you get your bearings straight. Make sure the rest of those sneaky snakes know you're keeping good company." It was a bit bold and perhaps too forward for some people, but maybe she would appreciate such things?

────────────────────────────────Siobhan's eyes widened as he opened his hand for her. She took it with less reluctance than the last couple times that she had been offered his hand. She gave it a soft squeeze, just to confirm that if there hands were intertwined, then he was going to actually hold her hand and not just limply lay it out for her to hold on her own.
Prat then started to try and guide her head to the fireworks rather than letting her figure it out in the moment, which was really nice of him in her mind. When the fireworks went off, she wasn't so nervous now as the fireworks continued to go off. She squeezed her teddybear excitedly as her face broke out in more of a smile than it had been originally.
"I really like the bear. I've never gotten such a nice gift from anyone that's not my family. Thank you for him-" Siobhan smiled, squeezing Prat's hand sweetly in a thankful gesture.
This night was so beautiful. She didn't know if she had ever experienced anything quite like the night at hand. It was really nice of Prat to bring her here even if he had been late again but the gift of the bear, offer of ice cream and holding her hand so that she could watch the fireworks like everyone else made her feel super normal. Just like everyone else who was with their friends and dates watching the fireworks.
Prat's voice broke through with the agreement of ice-cream and followed up with a question about what flavors she wanted. She thought about it for a moment. Most ice cream she had was homemade. Strawberry, or some sort of fruit flavor from the orchard. Vanilla if they had the ingredients or heaven help her, chocolate. But strawberry seemed good so thats what she told him.
"I doubt wizarding ice-cream will ever beat homemade muggle ice cream. It's one of my favorite summer activities with my siblings. Siobhan giggled as she thought about she and her siblings making the delicious treat together. "We have this ice cream shaker, that you kick around like a football- which is kind of like a quaffle I think? But it's covered on all sides so there isn't any dirt or mess in the dessert. But it shakes the cream, milk, sugar, and mix-ins together perfectly." Siobhan explained as she thought about her older brothers throwing the darned thing around, way out of reach of she and her sister's grip.
Of course whenever Kaitlyn would start crying because she didn't get to play with them as much, Eoghan would step in to stop Declan and Cillian from continuing to play keep-away. It was one of her favorite things to do with her family over the summer.
She gave the bear another squeeze as it hugged her in return. Her smile had faded from a present smile to one of a rememberance type. But she remembered quickly that she was still sitting next to Prat and courtesy dictated that she needed to keep him in the loop of her focus.
So she turned to look at him with a more present state of mind.
"Do you have any end-of-summer traditions that you do with your family?" She asked softly as she scooted a bit closer to him so that she could hear his voice over the roar of the crowds and the crack of every fireworks explosion. It was a little hard to hear him, and she hoped it wasn't uncomfortable that their arms were touching more-so then normal.
Hopefully he didn't pull away as though her touch bothered him. But it was a risk considerin they hadn't been in such close proximity like this since the last ball. He'd held her hand there too but it had been more so out of etiquette. This moment seemed like it was because he wanted to be nice and not the arrogant insufferable bother that she knew him to be.

─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────Prat had extended his hand towards Siobhan without much expectations from her. He was half-testing the waters, half-curious if she would take or if she'd brush it away. To not much of a surprise, her smaller hand slipped into his with less reluctance that he'd grown used to, and when she gave it a soft squeeze, he blinked in surprise. The squeeze was gentler than he thought her capable of. A squeeze, symbolizing their personal growth, and Prat, in a while did not feel it within him to lace the sweet moment with dry or snarky remarks that often marked his presence and instead chose to simply guide themselves to their seat, letting their intertwined hands remain.
When she told him she really liked the bear "I've never gotten such a nice gift from anyone that's not my family. Thank you for him" Prat felt his throat tighten in an unfamiliar way. He hadn't believed she'd make a fuss over it, or even consider it something big. He had only bought it to lighten up her mood upon noticing her gloomy exterior in the previous school year following the tragedy that had befallen the poor girl. Still, the way her face lit up, paired with the squeeze of gratitude in his hand, silenced his usual urge to add something cocky. The boy only nodded as a small smile twitched at the edge of his mouth before he finally managed, "I'm glad you're enjoying its company. I really hoped you'd like it."
The fireworks painted the sky above them in bursts of vibrant colors. She flinched each time the explosions cracked, but with their hands intertwined, the jolts seemed to be lessening with each passing second. He leaned closer, murmuring subtle cues before each firework went off, giving her time to brace or follow the glittering streaks of light across the sky. Her grip on the bear tightened with every flare, her smile growing wider with each colorful cascade. He caught himself watching her instead of the fireworks, which was almost embarrassing to admit, even to himself.
When the talk shifted to ice cream he hadn't expected a full scale story about her family. "I doubt wizarding ice-cream will ever beat homemade muggle ice cream," she claimed with giggled tucked into her words, and he resisted the temptation to scoff at her bold claim. That was a strong statement to make, but there was a certain warmth in the way she had said it, as though the taste was more memory than flavour. He kept his silence as he nodded along, deciding not to challenge it. It wasn't about proving her wrong or right, but more about letting her talk and watching how her face softened at the memory of her home.
What really threw him off, thought was mention of the ridiculous contraption she described; "an ice cream shaker you kick around like a football." Prat furrowed his brow. What in Merlin's name was that? Kick your dessert around until it froze? Wouldn't the heat make it melt faster? He nearly laughed out loud at the absurdity of her words, but instead, he tilted his head and smoothly remarked, "Fascination, I've seen machines that make ice cream, but I've never heard of making it by kicking them like a football. You should that to me sometime in the summer." His tone was light, teasing, but also tinged with genuine curiosity. He wasn't sure if it was because he cared about how it worked or if it was just as an excuse to see her again beyond the walls of the castle. Perhaps both.
Her next question caught him slightly off guard: "Do you have any end of summer traditions with your family?" She scooted closer, her shoulder brushing against his, clearly struggling to hear him over the fireworks and crowd. He glanced down at the minimal distance between them before leaning in, close enough for his breath to brush her as he's speak.
He paused, considering. The truth about his family traditions, much so to an muggle born weren't exactly shareable. They weren't exactly as cozy and sentimental family traditions as her family seemed to be. No, rather their traditions were rigid, formal, and most often transactional when involving other families. Not the kind of thing you'd tell a girl who was unaware of how the other side of world worked.
So, he did what he did best. He crafted something else, half-true, half-embellished story. "We have a lot of traditions," he began weaving a story with his steady voice, "though my favourite one is the gift sigils. Each person gets a sealed sigil with a riddle that describes their present and it's location. They have until midnight to solve it and figure out where it's hidden in the manor. If they fail, the gifts remain with the giver." He chuckled faintly, "Leads to all sorts of sabotage. Riddles with enchantments, clues that are inside jokes."
It wasn't a complete lie. There did exist such a game in his household, though the "fun" part was left up for debate, one it was unlikely to win. He dressed up the description for her, maybe because she looked at him as if she expected an answer that would match her sincerity and he did not want to disappoint.
He leaned back slightly, close enough to still hear any responses she might give him, waiting to see if she would laugh at the absurdity of his so-called tradition, or worse, ask for details about this game he'd invented on the fly. For now, however, the fireworks above seemed to demand their attention and he was content in letting the girl enjoy them.

He didn't seem to mind the fact that she was mocking Slytherin. In fact, he seemed to actually find that funny. It was like his smile was saying "good one, but I have some in store for you too". And he did. Even Hufflepuff took a blow. Well, to be honest, Lilith thought it was kind of funny, but she rolled her eyes like it was the less amusing thing she'd ever heard. She raised her chin proudly when he suggested she would be the one to break the mold. It was exactly what she intended to do. She was finally free, away from the cold manor in which she had spent her childhood, and she was determined to surprise everyone. If she could piss off some people too, it was even better.
After a instant of silence during which a particularly beautiful firework bloomed against the sky, he spoke again, proposing to help her settle once she'd be at Hogwarts. Like the rest of the conversation, his proposition was tinged with an intensity she couldn't quite name, but that she loved. When she nodded, she felt like she was signing a pact without reading it. "Well, what a galant proposition", she smirked. "I accept with pleasure, though I find difficult to believe that you would do that by pure generosity. Surely someone like you expects something in return ?"
A challenge. Again. It was always the case with Lilith. Most people found that exhausting, but he didn't seem to.

As the last leaf of the oak faded from view above, the next student band was encouraged to take the stage. Drums, flutes, and strings blended together harmoniously, picking up motifs from many traditions, an indicator for the next theme: Patchwork Culture.
Above the students chatting and flirting (or what counted as such these days) in the stadium, square bursts of different colours opened the show in reds, blues, golds, and greens, shimmering and overlapping. They formed a sky full of glowing squares, almost like fabric, and stitched by a trail of silver sparks - a patchwork quilt, tying them all together.
Only once the quilt dissolved, the sky lit up with flags, one after the other in quick succession but no discernible order - representing all the nationalities and cultures present at this international camp. Each flag seemed to sway in an unseen breeze, its edges lighting up in colour, before disappearing to be replaced by the next one. Each student watching would, after a while, find their own flag lighting up the sky.
In the end, a circle of light lit up the sky - a ring of fireworks, encircling the stadium, which connected everything in a glowing chain.

♕- Firework Spectacular, August 31st, 2025 | London Quidditch Stadium -♕
All good things had to come to an end—ever the lowly and loathsome thought now that Summer Camp was finally growing enjoyable.
It was on this particular night that all the Summer Camp attendees gathered around for one last final performance—a firework spectacular. Behind the spectacle of color and explosives, the night marked the cessation of summertime and the eve of yet another school year—a cruel realization that plagued Alphonse's cerebal cortex for weeks prior. Despite the warring apprehension and excitement tumulting within the pubescent boy, the former Wampus couldn't have picked better company to share the evening with.
At his side was Geneviève, the Beaubaxtons' girl who'd enraptured, puzzled, and infuriated the Haitian teen beyond comprehension. Despite the irony of falling in love with her once through some cruel Headmaster's Amortentia prank last February, the former Wampus couldn't get Geneviève off his mind in sobriety, nor did he want for that. Their meeting felt fated—like two stars reuniting after billions of years of separation, yet the boy was unprepared at the mere thought of enduring yet another bittersweet moment with the Beaubaxtons' girl, knowing that tonight was their last.
Her excitement for the fireworks was palpable and infectious; her smile sat on perfectly sculpted features, and Alphonse longed to never see it astray again.
Without complaint, Alphonse wordlessly hauled a dufflebag stuffed with pillows and a blanket for the firework show while his free hand was tightly and deliberately intertwined with hers. Geneviève was ironically skipping at his side, yet his long legs easily matched the pace with an unhurried, confident gait due to the comical height difference.
Hand in hand, the former Wampus guided the newly established couple through eager throngs of students with surefooted, proud steps until settling near a patch of grass that wasn't compiled of loitering busybodies. A perfect view, for a perfect night.
"Here looks like a good spot," he said with an easygoing smile, reluctantly pulling his hand free from Geneviève's grasp to establish a cozy nook before the firelight show started. Alphonse took her hand once more with the lightest of his touches once the blankets and pillows were neatly arranged, waited for her to situate herself first, then cozied up beside Geneviève with a protective arm around her.
Above them, the first of the long-awaited fireworks exploded into the darkened sky; first was a fiery phoenix, then a succession of more creatures followed. As beautiful as the displays were, Alphonse couldn't resist feeling pangs of defeat at the notion of being separated from his now official girlfriend, but wouldn't speak his sentiments outloud and risk marring the firework display for her.
With a soft grip around Geneviève, Alphonse offered a gentle squeeze and glanced in her direction with a faint but natural smile. The colorful firelight played across the Duellist's features, lulling the Haitian boy to reminisce the first kiss between them beneath the stars of Stella Cascadia. Although there had been plenty kisses shared between the couple the days following, none were as special as that evening in his mother's dormant tent. It took much willpower to tear his oak-brown gaze from Geneviève's face and return it to the illuminated sky above, but Alphonse managed the feat with a soundless sigh that escaped through his thinly parted lips.
With a subtle shift of his body across the soft blanket, the Haitian leaned in and gave her soft hand yet another gentle squeeze while reluctantly locking his brown eyes skywards.
"Thank you for everything," Alphonse began with a quiet but steady voice, mindful of his volume over the excited chatter and exploding firelight above, "For making this summer one worth remembering."

Geneviève looked at her boyfriend as he spoke to her in the kind way she had come to adore whenever they where around each other. It was moments like these, and words like the ones moving through his lips that grounde her and reminded her that what she had with him was real. All she needed was a little trust in both herself, and him.
Alphonse was clever enough to bring a blanket and a few pillows. It sure beat sitting in the stadium itself and rather allowed them to follow some of their fellow classmates into a more easily visible area. Alphonse was always so thoughtful by coming up with ways for everyone to be included. It was a virtue that she herself had known was something she could do to work on her own behavior.
This was why opposites attract after all. Alphonse was rugged, charming, and surprisingly cool under the hell that she had presented to him. Geneviève on the other hand was far more unpredicatble and found that she was prone to big emotions and a personality that could be classified as larger than life. Her emotions stemmmed from wanting to ensure that anyone and everyone had a seat at table rather than remain on the side.
Geneviève snuggled closer to him against the light summer chill as the fireworks painted the sky above them. The blanket was incredibly fuzzy and most certainly had the smell by which she was unfortunatley farmiliar with . Alphonse knew it bothered her but she was not the person to argue with, when she started to get cold.
The colors of the fireworks themselves where also so bright and vivid. She "ooh'ed" and "ah'ed" as they exploded above her face and pointed out the shapes and colors to Alphonse excitedly. The fact that they where together was all that mattered to her and it was important that they both enjoyd themselves before the inevitable separation until whenever it was they could see each other.
The unfortunate reality that they both lived in as a long distance couple now.
Geneviève settled down a bit as the generalized excitement of the fireworks wore off and she was able to look at Alphonse clearly. The colors of the explosions did wonders to his complexion and made him all the more handsome. Just as he had looked the day that they had met. Though she was still green in the time of love, she knew that something between the two of them was so effortlessly growing. It had potential and she felt her heart pounding with every moment spent in his company.
"Alphonse, I must thank you. I truly needed the assurance and company you provided this summer. I wouldn't change but a single thing about it. Geneviève spoke in her gentle yet lofty tone that she knew he had become accustomed to listening to. With her upbringing, she knew that her diction bordered on pretentious but it was just a natural part of who she was.
Geneviève leaned in slowly and placed a sweetly timed kiss across the apple of his cheek. It was fleeting and yet she lingered for a moment too long just to show him that her words had evidence to back them up. For how horrific her last visit to Scotland had been, this had truly opened her eyes to the Hogwarts educational insitution and allowed her to overcome some of her biggest worries about her relationship with Alphonse. Clearly it had worked because here they lay against the pillows and blanket, hand in hand and with the very prominent label of "boyfriend" and "girlfriend."
Too bad that their night would end when the moon drew its final breath and receeded beyond the horizon. For now though, the sky had seemingly paused its nightly cycle to grant the students one final emergence of Summer before the calling of responsibility broke through.
Geneviève sighed dreamily as she looked at Alphonse with a sweet note in her eyes. The cobalt color would look darker to those who were paying attention, but not in a way that seemed angry. No- this was in a way that showed how deep the emotions swirled within her. A fuege of hope, and need to be cared for, to love and be love was sung through the look in her eyes as she viewed Alphonse rather than the fireworks. She supposed, that if she where anyone else, this might have felt silly but for some reason she wanted to envision him this way.
Geneviève didn't often forget things but the possibility of this moment between them slipping through her fingers and into the crevices of her memory where far too big a burden to bear. She wanted nothing more than to remember Alphonse in a way that kept him alive like the colors of the fireworks above them.
"When I have left... will you think of me? Write to me more? I want to hear your stories. About how you are. I will worry you know." Geneviève explained as she finally turned her eyes back towards the starry sky as the lights aboved twinkled in a familiar comfortng promenade.
"I know it's silly. I feel as though that I am missing a piece of myself whenever it is that we sepatate. I don't wish to come across as clinging or too much for you but I do mean it Alphonse. Geneviève explained as she gently twirled a coiffed lock of her whipped cream colored hair. She wondered if anyone else ever had the notions she had come up with regarding love and affection towartds others.
"Promise me something? When I return, you will deliver on the dnce that we so desperately where incapacittated to dance for longer than a few moments." Geneviève asked with the biggest puppy dog eyes that she could muster for such a short French girl.
A shower of blue crackled above them as she waited for the answer that Alphonse would hopefully provide to her in a meaningful way.

Once the glowing chain that had signalled the end of the Patchwork Culture chapter had faded from view, the time of the dream circus began: Oddly, the fireworks didn't start up again in the sharp bursts that the viewers might have expected. Instead, they slowly shimmered into view, dreamlike and a little surreal. Strings of light began on the ground and traced a great circus arch overhead, flickering on and off like static until they met at the center. Next, a row of carousel horses began circling the sky, in muted golds and amethyst, midnight blue and smoky silver.
Once they had completed a circle, streams of purple lights fell like a curtain, fading the carousel from view - then drawing back to reveal bursts that seemed to form the outlines of dancers and trapeze artists, outlines that shimmered into view only to fade again after mere moments.
The next round of fireworks came in quick, sharp bursts - spinning wheels, pins and juggling balls as if thrown by invisible hands. Was the scent of popcorn in the air part of the show, or mere imagination? It was hard to tell, and when the crackling faded, the stadium descended into darkness, for just a moment. The music took a pause at the same time, fading to silence. Then, from the still darkness, bursts started shooting upwards, in reds and yellows, orange and white, massive firework bursts that rose far above the stadium, marking the finale of the circus of dreams.
There was only one chapter left to the night - a spectacular end, to a spectacular camp.

Although Ginyami knew Sara wasn't fond of bright colors and the circus theme was reminiscent of the atrocious tent the Mahoutokoro students all stayed in a previous year for summer camp, a fireworks show was still a fireworks show. It was also reminiscent of the festivals they had in Japan in the summer, so the navy-robed Japanese student had decided to take a chance and ask his peer if he would accompany him to watch said show. Fortunately for him, Sara had agreed.
He was delighted that he could have the opportunity to watch the fireworks with Sara, but he hoped the other young man hadn't felt pressured to say yes to watch with him simply because he tended to do his best to please people any way he could. Especially not after the fiasco that had caused them to break up. That occasion, at least, had given him hope that Sara had learned to develop and listen to his own will rather than simply going with what others wanted all the time. Hopefully he hadn't forgotten that lesson even if Ginyami hadn't been under the impression Sara could have changed who he was overnight. Baby steps.
"Are these bright colors too bright for you to enjoy?" he asked, turning to his peer with a wry smile. "The colors and theme are much like that circus tent from that summer a while back, aren't they? Perhaps this was a bad idea."
