It was their final year at Hogwarts. Seven years went by so fast. As quick as snitches move, its nothing compared to the rapid passage of time. Soon Jorah would graduate and have to get a job. Yuck! Jorah would mal
ke the best of his last year. Perhaps he could destroy a few more brooms and add to his souvenir necklace of broken broom shards. Jorah made his way to the pitch to the first of his last Quidditch game at howgarts. He returned Aly's wave with a thumb ups. We got this, he thought.

In the role of Beater, if you hit an opponent with a bludger the bludger will then ricochet off that user and target a second opponent of choice (must be declared, if not declared the target will be random and can be an ally but not yourself).
In the role of Beater, if an ALLY dodges a bludger during the round, there is a 20% chance that you catch that bludger with your bat and you send it at a RANDOM enemy target.

Note: For the rules lawyers out there: you are not considered your own ally.
In the role of Beater, if you critically hit with a bludger, instead of doing double-damage you do 2.5x damage. If you critically fail with your bludger attempt to hit, rather than having your bludger randomly target another user (including yourself or an ally) the bludger cannot target you on a critical fail (but it can still target your allies). On a re-target, there is a random roll for target and then a fresh accuracy roll.

Doing as strategized

Okay, first game of this season, we got this. Aston thought as he arrived to the pitch, slightly more nervous then usual. It was his first game as captain and honestly he was nervous due to it. It will be good though, quidditch is always good, pity he has to just sit on the bench for now.

The cheers and jeers emanating from the crowd seemed to be even more irritating than usual. They echoed through her ears, ringing tiresomely. Perhaps it was the wind. Nonetheless, she reminded herself it was the first game of the year — the most exciting! She should be pumped and ready to go. With newfound excitement, She gripped her broom with her slightly clammy hands and launched into the air.

DEBUFF FOULS

It was a stand still Lea hadn't seen before, eagles circling the sky yet seeming to have no sense of direction or coordinated effort. Something was off, perhaps they hadn't heard the whistle blown, but Slytherin would waste no moment granted as Rafal rushed towards the seventh year, the young Chaser intent on roughing Jorah up a bit before he could return the favor. A bit overeager, the jabs immediately grabbed the moderator's attention before any could properly connect with their target. The sharp whistle broke any illusion of secrecy- "Rafal Devereux! Already?! Go take a lap!"

SECOND STRING

It would certainly be a strange sight to behold from the benches. Milica's shouts rang through the air, the verbal jabs striking more so than the physical as the Ravenclaw beater ended up the benches' focus. A wrong glance towards Ebony silenced Nabi from the conversation with Ava, left confused as their discussions over the next move hushed. Clearly there was no way to prepare for the damage the Ravenclaw beaters could bring. Amidst the shouts, discussions, and cheers from the crowd above, Aamon took the moment to snack, satisfying a need for salt and sweets instead of keeping track of the game.

Karina found no trouble snatching the quaffle in the air, rushing around the pitch as she volleyed the ball between the center and the Ravenclaw hoops. The first shot bounced strangely, a ricochet that let the quaffle pass through the hoops twice. "I didn't know you could do that- 20 points for Slytherin!" The points continued raking up, only one fumble as the ball clanged against the bar before freefalling. The Slytherin rushed to pick it up, continuing her streak until her team had 50 points on the board.

The cloud cover hid the snitch, no reflective light catching the corner of anyone's eye. The only one catching someone's eye was Aly, the other seeker, as Violeta seemed to watch her for guidance rather than spot anything.

It was clear Jorah was a scary figure to Slytherin, especially so when the two beaters who seemed fearless teamed up to take him out. A bit tricky to maneuver, but the two managed with ease as the bats connected simultaneously to the rubber. The clash reverberated across the piste. It would only be after the hit that the moderator recovered, the combined strength sending both Jorah and pieces of his broom tumbling towards the earth below, the world already dark for the Ravenclaw. As though that wasn't enough, Percival managed some spin on the shared bludger, a strike against the distracting seeker. Stunned from the complete obliteration of her teammate and not prepared for the course of destruction to continue, the bludger crashed into the side of Aly with little resistance. Not enough leftover energy, the Ravenclaw kept her balance with some struggle.
