Well The songs that I have yet heard sounds good not a big Taylor fan so maybe thats why no other opinions

I like the album, for the first time I actually like every single song, but there's no song that really stands out to me like with other albums
either I like and relate to the lyrics but the music doesn't stand out, or I like the beat but can't really relate to the lyrics
and it's a really short album
fate of ophelia and elizabeth taylor are my favs
least fav probably wish list

As for me, I was not expecting a combination of Lover and 1989. I liked the retro vibe of both The Fate of Ophelia and Wood, other than that, the rest now sound generic to me. The brilliance of the lyrics had been hit or miss for me too, unlike TTPD. It was my fault - I actually expected another TTPD and Midnights in the making. She is so in love in this album, though.

Yeah I get that, perhaps that's why none stood out to me. I usually love her songwriting but some of the lyrics seemed too 'modern' to me, using words like 'savage' or talking about 'trolling and memes'. Not that it's a problem, but her music has been timeless up to now, and this makes it a little less timeless and I sort of expect better from her. Also, coming from TTPD, it's hard to surpass that brilliance to the lyrics.

You're right! TTPD is really up there, and it will be difficult to surpass that standard. TLOAS is good though, but something I would get tired of in a week.
