London Quidditch Stadium
Where it's covered in all the colored lights
Where the runaways are runnin' the night
Impossible comes true, intoxicatin' you
Oh, this is the greatest show

Once the last glow of the dragons had faded from the sky and the last roars had echoed out, it was time for the student band to change as well: The first group packed up, hopping down from the stage to the cheers of their friends, and the next musician was invited up. It was a soloist, this time, taking the stage with her violin: @Devon Wallen would provide the music for the Verdant Hollow segment of the night.

As she played, dandelion sparklers started spouting up from the grass all around the picnic blankets, golden-white bursts forming delicate puffballs that scattered tiny glowing seeds. At the same time, spirals of green and silver that twisted like vines climbed skyward, branching outwards and curling across the night sky, before falling down slowly like a weeping willo's branches. Fireworks shot up into the sky, bursting into dozens of tiny butterflies in blues and greens that flitted down towards the spectators before winking out. Moments later, multi-layered fireworks started unfolding in slow-motion, petals unfurling in red, pink, and violet, turning the sky above the stadium into an exquisite bouquet of flowers.

There was a moment of silence after the flowers faded from view, just enough for the chattering to start up again - at least by those not entranced by the music. Then, a thick golden trunk started upwards from an area kept empty at the center of the pitch, growing before spreading into a canopy of emerald sparks, smaller bursts forming acorns. These acorns would start to fall as the oak began to fade, magically materialising and remaining to be picked up by any who wanted a keepsake from the night.

We light it up, we won't come down
And the sun can't stop us now

Lilith felt his eyes on her and she liked it more than she should. The feeling of being looked at, the fact that he had seen something in her that he wanted to keep, frozen in a picture. The girl always enjoyed being admirated, but there was something more. Something that made him stand out. And whatever this was, Lilith wanted to discover it.

Still smiling confidently, she followed his instructions, taking the pose he had imagined, feeling beautiful. The fireworks illuminated again her as she looked at him once the picture was taken. After lowering his camera, he introduced himself, asking if she was going to Hogwarts. He said his name et Lilith had a feeling she wouldn't forget it.
"I'm Lilith Darcy. Yeah, I'm starting my first year in September." She said, wondering in what year he could be. "Nice to meet you", she added.

He had extended a hand, in a gesture of formal greeting. Lilith was used, by her education, to this kind of salutations, but she didn't expect anyone to willingly introduce themselves in such a outdated way. What was weird is that she found even more intriguing. Offering him the confident smile she always hid behind, she took his hand.

Ewan’s smile grew and was accompanied by a thrill of laughter as the other boy practically screamed with excitement at the prospect of attending Hogwarts come September.

Just then, Nick seemed to grow a bit introspective at the mention of both his parents attending Hogwarts, the houses they had been sorted into during their time at the magical school, and the inevitable expectations that came with it. The shadow that had befallen his companion seemed to disappear, though, as he asked Ewan whether he’d attend Hogwarts as well.

“Aye, I’ll also be going there: sounds like we both already know a schoolmate, then!” The young MacLeod replied, wiggling his eyebrows for the fun of it (and hopefully to cheer Nick up somewhat). He finished eating his ice cream, grabbed a bite of his own cauldron cake, and spoke again.
“Only my mum attended Hogwarts… My da’s a Muggle.” Ewan said, perhaps in an effort to divert Nick’s attention. Just then, the second part of the pyrotechnic show set in motion.

Dandelion sparklers began to crop up from the ground all around the picnic blankets, accompanied by a masterful violin solo. Ewan’s eyes twinkled with awe as he observed, as the night sky was filled by weeping willows and butterflies and flowers. The young boy managed to catch an acorn that had originated from the glowing oak trunk and its emerald green foliage.

When the teddy bear shifted from Prat's hand into her, he caught the faint smile that broke across her face. She attempted to find his eyes and without much thought, Prat instinctually aligned his gaze with hers, even if her sight seemed to struggle with it. It wasn't an act he usually did, matching smiles or gazes with those he was in conversation with, but the corner of his mouth curved; restrained but curved nonetheless, unwilling to leave her hanging entirely in the moment.

"You traded your tickets for me? That's so kind...Thank you," she said, the cheer in her tone was quite disarming and soft the viper.

Prat's reply was equally smooth, his words steady and trimmed of excess. "It's not much, I told you to not worry about it. I'm just a generous man is all." He didn't need thanks, and in truth, the boy preferred silence over gratitude. Yet, letting her enjoy the joy linger unchallenged felt less grating than cutting it down.

He led the way into the stadium, weaving through the growing crowd with practiced ease. His intent was simply; secure a seat with proper view for the two of them. Even if she couldn't see it clearly, he could at least describe it. The human mind filled it's own gaps, and he expected Siobhan's imagination to be quite active as he had witnessed.

Her voice tugged at him again, this time with light scolding. "You walk too fast for your blind companion. Didn't your parents teach you not to walk off in front of your friends?"

Prat glanced back as he realized his pace had indeed outstripped her and left the poor girl behind. He took her hand, guiding it back onto his arm where it clung previously. "Don't leave my hand like that," he said, half a joke and half an order. "You'll get trampled in this crowd." He slowed, adjusting his gait to her until the two reached near sync in their steps with two seats along a clear vantage point.

They sat. For a moment, only the murmurs of the crowd and faint crackle filled the temporary silence offered by zoning our the constant chatter from those around them. Then came her question. "Do you like fireworks?"

"No." he answered flatly, before the corner of his lip quirked again. "But I like beautiful things. Fireworks make the night sky look pretty for a little while." His eyes turned towards her. "Do you like them?" He wasn't really expecting an answer, perhaps only a way to see how she'd respond.

As the conversation continued, her face lit again as she hugged the teddy close. "I think I'll name this bear...Beehive. Like a honey-bear!"

"Honey-bear? Like Winnie the Pooh?" he asked, deadpan but with the faintest of smiled playing at the edge of his expression. Above them, the first fireworks cracked, scattering light across the blackened sky.

Her voice broke the moment once again. "Really, Prat, thank you for this. Can I give you some money to repay you? I'm afraid I don't have a lot right now but I can always get you next year."

He exhaled through his nose, amused more than annoyed. She had to ruin the moment with repayment talk. The bear was nothing, a trivial exchange of tickets at best. But if she wished to act like it mattered, he could indulge her for the matter. His laugh was low, private as he laughed into his hands. "I don't know, Can you?"

He let the tease settle before shaking his head lightly. "Keep your coins, I'll make you buy me something later."

Another volley of fireworks erupted, their light spilling across her features. He tilted his head towards the girl, voice level but carrying a thread of invitation. "Do you want to get something to eat after this? I'm quite famished."

Nick opened his mouth, ready to reply. He had never truly met a half blood before, but to be completely fair, he hasn't met many people in general.

But the bright spectacle took a new shape, and Nick flinched all over again when the noise restarted, a bit of a jumpy kid he was, but that didn't meant he wasn't having a lot of fun.

"I never met a half blood before!" He finally said, raising a little bit his voice again so the boy could hear him. "I always wanted to see more of the muggle world, my Godmother is a muggle born, she taught me some stuff but it's always so fascinating to me!"

"But, hey! That means we get to eat lunch together! I was worried I wouldn't meet anyone, I haven't made any friends so far and was already preparing for quiet lonely lunches." He grimaced at the thought alone, he already spent far too many years alone, he was not happy about the idea of continuing.

He chuckled, leaning back on his arms as he watched it, the beautiful colors shining in his big bright eyes, it was truly something to behold. "This is the first time I ever saw fireworks! Can you believe that?" Nick shook his head, smiling a bit more when he saw a flower shape in the sky, he did really love flowers. "I mean... I've read about fireworks before... But this is something else..."

When they eventually found their seats and the show started, they had found themselves with some simple conversations between them led to slight bit of banter as it usually happened between the two of them. However, Siobhan was having such a marvelous time, she couldn't even find it in herself to be snide when he joked about what she wanted to name the snuggly-friend that was sitting in her lap. The bear gave her another affectionate squeeze which only fueled her happiness.

Prat mentioned something about sharing a snack together and she eagerly accepted. A sweet treat sounded fantastic after a magical fireworks moment. Speaking of fireworks, she couldn't help but lightly jump everytime the fireworks cascaded into the sky. Her hand flinched around Prat's arm as she tried to time when they would explode. It wasn't because she was scared really, just thta without full use of her eyes she couldn't predict exactly when each explosion was set to go off.

However, the colors in her sight were still... unbelievably vivid and bright to her. She felt a slight twinge of excitement as her eyes were able to still capture some of the movement and shine of the fireworks. It brought a slight tear to her eyes as she tried to wipe it discreetly before Prat could find a way to mock her for it.

She was still going to lose her sight but being able to see the remnants of a world she once knew in the sky was just... goregeous.... She couldn't believe Prat had mentioned that he didn't like them. Why had he chosen to go with her then? Why had he even invited her? Prat was confusing and almost unable to understand aside from the light lore drops he occassionally gave her if it compelled and swayed him to do so.

At least he hadn't told her to give him the money for the bear upfront. Currently she had less than 10 sickles on her person and that was supposed to be for a snack and then she needed to save it for the Train Ride to Hogwarts tomorrow. But she found herself wanting something cool and sweet to beat the summer heat.

"What snack where you thinking we should get? I was hoping maybe there was an ice cream stall somewhere." Siobhan murmured as her fingers covered her mouth just lightly looking towards the sky. She wondered if perhaps there was a reflection somewhere that would showcase how she looked when each firework exploded above them.

It was warm, and soft but also daring and beautiful.

"I don't know why you brought me here. But thanks." Siobhan said giving Prat's arm a slight squeeze to express her gratitude.

I know you, I walked with you once upon a dream- Sleeping Beauty

2025 Summer Camp Fireworks Spectacular Open
Private interaction with @Lilith Darcy
Harvey had a very careful eye. While most his age were easily distracted he had always been more reserved and observant. The boy was methodical in his approach. He took in the scene, processed it for a moment and was rarely ever quick to reaction. This eye of his was now locked on Lilith and even in this brief interaction he felt like he was getting to know someone that might make an impact on his life. The girl held his gaze with a confidence that many did not possess and she wasn't shy about being looked over by Harvey's critical gaze. In fact, it seemed like she was rather enjoying it.

When Lilith took to his instruction it only made him feel more connected to her. The bond between artist and muse was a road that could have many pathways, but that connection was often deep and emotional, if not sometimes troubled. While Harvey was usually lacking with affection and sentiment, he could not deny the spark that had ignited within. Was it a crush? No, that wouldn't be the word that he would use for it. Though he was still young that term just seemed too juvenile. Harvey was unlike many others his age and that often led to a life of solitude. Perhaps what he was feeling was simply the joy of meeting a kindred spirit? Someone who was not afraid to be their true selfs unapologetically.

"The pleasure is all mine, Lilith." She accepted his hand with the ease of someone used to such a formal introduction. Perhaps a pure-blood or someone whose family still appreciated the traditions of old? Either way, it only added to the intrigue and he wanted to know more. Now, to craft a question that might ease some personal information out of her. "Are you looking forward to the start of your education? Any thoughts on which house you might be sorted into or perhaps a certain house runs in the family? My guess would be Slytherin like me." Harvey flashed his own charming smile as he began to dig in. He wanted to know this girl, to see what made her tick and how he might influence her. Harvey could be rather possessive of the things that he wanted, so he would need to be careful not to give into his impulses. For now anyways...

Lilith left her hand in his a bit too long for it not to be calculated. She was still feeling the adrenaline that coursed through her body when she felt his eyes on her. It was like he saw her, not only her appearance, but also something else. Like his camera captured a part of her that she never showed to anyone. Maybe even a part of her she didn't know about.

Lilith was too proud to admit that she was attracted by him, even to herself. She kept telling herself that she found him intriguing, and nothing else. But she couldn't deny she felt like something pulled her towards him. In such case, Lilith usually stayed away. She couldn't afford to be attracted to someone. Because if she was, she lost the upper hand, and that was not an option. Lilith had to be the one calling the shots in her relationships. Call it controlling, she called it self-preservation. But Lilith didn't walk away. Maybe she should have now, before anything could start, but she didn't. It was too late anyway.

He asked her if she was impatient to start at Hogwarts, and where she thought she would be storted. When he suggested Slytherin, she smiled. She heard that often, that she would fit right in if the Hat sent her in the house of pride and ambition. But as tempting as Slytherin was, the yound witch didn't feel like she could belong there. Or maybe she just wanted to be something other that what her family expected from her, just once.
"Yeah, my family has a tradition with Slytherin," she answered, taking a detached tone, like she didn't care. "We had a few Ravenclaws, but let's just say they were a bit frowned upon."
Her tone was sarcastic. She enjoyed making fun of her family's pure blood expectations, maybe because it made her forget she was trying to live up to them since she was born.
"Though I don't really feel like I could belong in Slytherin," she added, her lips curling in a smirk. "Too sneaky for me."
Let's see how he would react to that little jab.

Dylan didn't know what to expect at the firework celebration that signified the end of summer camp. Avery and Mikey had gone off somewhere on their own for what he guessed was to watch the celebration together, leaving Dylan unsure of where to go and watch. He hadn't seen much of Val at camp, so she probably wasn't even at the celebration. Then he saw her. A girl he would probably call his best friend after all their adventures together the year before. Summer. She was alone, and that's why Dylan made the last minute decision to approach her.

"Hey. You waiting for anyone? If not, I can sit with you. If you are, I'll happily give you your space." Dylan said with a smile to his friend. He hadn't seen her much over the summer. Just fleeting glances and a possible wave to each other from across crowds, but they hadn't actually spoken since they left Ilvermony and went their separate ways for the summer.

Dylan felt bad for not writing to her. He could have at least sent her one letter. Just to make sure she was doing well. Instead, he invested himself in trying to stay away from the family drama he knew would ignite if even the smallest spark lit the room.

Prat leaned back in his seat, one arm casually draped along the back as he watched the enchanted bear squeeze sio with another overly affectionate hug. Ridiculous little thing, really. He'd picked it because it seemed amusing at the time, but the way her whole face lit up at every squeeze, he mused if perhaps this had been a smarter purchase than his original idea of balloons. He had seriously considered buying out a bundle and handing them out to every pretty girl in sight at the carnival. However, seeing the girl somewhat glow while holding a picking of his choice felt infinitely better.

His smugness was only mildly interrupted when he noticed her flinching every time fireworks crackled above them. The small jump of her hand against his arm didn't escape the boy. Prat frowned slightly, shifting his weight, then stretching his hand across the space between them. "Here" he muttered, offering his hand to her, low enough that his words came out as orders than an offer. His hand opened, palm steady. If she took it, maybe it'd ground her enough to prevent little jolts.

The next firework bloomed overhead, and before long, Prat decided to call out their locations, adding "Up, right side, left above your head" and so on. His voice had its usual commanding tone, yet measured, an attempt to give her a second's warning, something that'd anchor her.

"Do you like the bear so far?" he asked after a pause, eyes narrowing slightly as if the answers wasn't already painted all over her smile. Ofcourse she liked it. She was practically cuddling the thing. He didn't even need her reply, but he wanted it. Just a confirmation that this hadn't been a wasted effort on his side.

The conversation shifted easily, as it often did between them, to food. When he asked her about snacks and she murmured about ice cream, Prat's brows arched. Finally something to look forward to.

"Yeah, sure," he said smoothly, glancing away at the distant glow of fireworks. "We can get some after this is done. Or- do you want me to go find one right now?" He turned his head halfway towards her, studying her for a second longer than necessary. "Not that I mind, but I'm not leaving you alone to get stranded."

He spoke like someone making a series of decisions rather than stating a preference. "The day's been fun enough, Ice cream would be the right ending for it." His gaze shifted towards her again, sharp and curious as ever. "What about you? What flavour should I get you? or flavours?" His emphasis suggested he expected her to list more than one, and he was already cataloguing her answer in his mind. He liked knowing details, filing them away about others' preferences.
