Damien was finishing setting up his tent for this year summer camp as it was his first time at summer camp and he wanted everything to be perfect so being the somewhat perfectionist he was he figured he would have things organized before any of the other people got there, speaking of others he wrote down a list of everyone who was staying in his tent and he only knew two of them on that list. The two people he recognized was Elizabeth Hamilton which was the Ravenclaw girl he met when Gabrielle pranked him as well as Jules Pollux who he remembered meeting in the book store in Diagon alley so he was excited to see them both again and catch up but then there was these other names that he hadn’t heard of or met yet. Mamori Anezaki who seemed to be a hufflepuff second year so someone new who was in the same year as him then there was Claire Ducasse a girl from Beauxbatons which was the all wizard school in France so someone not from Hogwarts would be interesting to meet he may even learn some French.

But then there was the finally name longer than any of the other names he read and he was intrigued to say the least, Drago Thanatos-Kholodov who was from Koldovstoretz and was Russian. Damien wouldn’t be lying if he said Drago wasn’t the person he wanted to meet the most he didn’t know why he just felt like he’d enjoy a conversation with him. He set the list down before getting back to work as he decided to make the tent feel more spacious. He put his bed that he picked along with a black bed that he had a feeling Drago would most definitely pick in one corner of the tent along with a blue and teal bed on that same side and finally a blue and yellow bed on that same side of the room as the other four.

Once that was done he sat down on the tables the treats and snacks he baked for the others so that way they wouldn’t be hungry or anything. He baked two cakes his family’s famous lemon pound cake and then a chocolate cake along with some candies from his mother’s sweet shop that he took with him before leaving for the summer camp. He looked back on everything as it all seemed to look very organized as he waited for the others to arrive.

Drago was slightly terrified.
No wait, make that extremely terrified.
He had no idea what it would be like, especially alone. He was hoping that his cousin, Nyx, would be there but she hadn't shown her face since he saw her at the beginning of the summer. She just wasn't her usual gung-ho, snarky, black-hearted, dark, humoresque self. It was as if that part of her had curled up deep inside her and hid away in some dark corner.
And he was scared. He had never seen her like that before. So numb, so... Indifferent.
And his father wasn't much better. He didn't even bat an eyelash as Drago pleaded for something else. Just said that Drago had to learn how to deal with people.
But enough depressing thoughts, he had no more time for those as he was at the gate. He stepped through. As soon as he passed the threshold, it was chaos. Pure, undiluted chaos. People were running around everywhere, doing everything. Screaming, shrieking, bellowing. Everything. He watched as the chaos unfold, having a sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach. This was... A lot. He desperately wished that Nyx was ether but he would have to make do on his own. He tried to think Nyx'liek thoughts before he pushed through the crowd. He elbowed people out of his way discreetly, before he managed to get to his destination. Cirque Du Lune. He boldly stepped out, only to trip into the tent. But before he could fall to the floor, someone caught him. Wow. He thought as he stared into grey-blue eyes.

Mamori trudged through the crowd with a massive pack strapped to his back and two hefty bags hoisted over each shoulder, his turquoise specs giving a slightly spinning effect probably because he had never needed glasses before in his life and his brain was still figuring out how to handle this sudden influx of clear vision. The palm leaf print Hawaiian shirt he had chosen for summer was now decorated with a nice layer of dust. Not that it really was, but Mamori's brain had long ago decided that Floo travel automatically meant getting dirty. Hence his preference for literally any other mode of transportation that didn't involve fireplaces. But when both parents are too busy being responsible adults to properly see off their child at an ungodly six in the morning, one must make do.

Wearing flip-flops while hauling three bags through London Quid Stadium was proving to be one of his less brilliant life decisions: besides the weight on his shoulders, the never-ending walks in search of the right direction, the total lack of mirrors to check if his appearance was as shabby as the way he felt, there were also blisters that were starting to form, thus turning what should have been a simple walk into his personal hell. When he finally found his tent having completely missed the welcome feast, Mamori was ready to throw himself down on any bed that looked least cursed. Except there were two people obstructing the entrance — one had apparently decided the ground looked inviting, the other had caught them, and now they were having some sort of intense staring contest.

"Either of you need help or no?" Mamori's voice interrupted whatever moment they were having as gestured with his thumb and spare hand towards the side. "Because fascinating as this is, you're blocking the only entrance to what I'm desperately hoping is my tent. MOVE." the words were sharp and unfiltered, the rare instance of Mamori's inner asshole making its debut. After lying down for an hour or five and maybe getting some food, he'll come back to being a decent human being ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌again.

Elizabeth muttered angrily as she quickly pushed through the crowd. She was at summer camp and initially didn't want to go, but the argument with her father a few days ago motivated her to go. Luckily, she wasn't going alone. She was part of a tent group, and if she remembers correctly, there were at least six of them in the tent, including a Ravenclaw she had met. She looked around for the tent. She knew where it was, but with all the tents, it could be complicated. The girl had two bags on her back; she had to put all her things in them. Luckily, they were quite large, and she had been able to fit everything in. When Elizabeth arrived, there were already three boys there; two, including Damien, were staring at each other, and the third seemed a little annoyed. The young girl approached. They were blocking the entrance, and with her two rather heavy bags, she couldn't wait to put them down.

"Um, excuse me, I don't want to spoil the atmosphere, but my bags are heavy, and I'd really like to put them down, if you don't mind."

Elizabeth spoke in a kind, almost joking tone. She was only afraid of the three boys responding to her in a nasty way.

“It’s not fair.”

Jules was a mixture of bad feelings that morning: he was just dropped by his parents that waved him goodbye and went immediately home after telling him the usual. And here he was, standing not too far from the tent he was assigned to with a small bag on his shoulder and another one in his hand, alone.

“I don’t want to go anymore.”

He was devastated. He and his twin were so eager to go to the summer camp, spend wonderful days in the nature and playing fantastic and fun games. They were already making plans on what to do, where to spend more time, what activities were the most interesting and which ones were skippable, but everything shattered just two days before leaving.

“I should have stayed at home.”

Agnes woke up with a bad fever, and even though she swore she was fine and could have attended the camp with no issues, their parents decided to let her stay at home and rest, so that she could have healed completely before leaving for Hogwarts. What about Jules? Jules was completely fine, and his parents thought it would have been a good idea to make him spend some time without his sister, as they were inseparable. No matter how much Jules protested, he had to go.

“These will be the worst days of my life.”

He kept thinking and thinking and thinking as he walked towards the tent he was assigned to, and was clearly overwhelmed by the amount of people already present there and the chaos that was rapidly forming. It was just as a little fox had appeared in the area, small and frightened by the voices of all those unknown people. There was something undeniably cute about his delicate face and those teal eyes looking at the ground and trying to blend in. Unfortunately for him, his natural part-Veela charisma and aura weren’t something he could simply turn off as he pleased, and as much as he tried to stay silent he wasn’t going to be ignored for much longer.

@Too lazy to mention everyone. I hope you are subscribed.
REALLY sorry I am late!
Claire was in a simple knee length cotton sky blue dress, and pink heart earrings. She now nervously twisted the left one of those earrings. She didn't usually get nervous, but sharing a tent with four to six strangers was something to get nervous about. Don't get Claire wrong, she liked meeting new people. But, she also liked the opportunity to walk away if she didn't like the person. And there could potentially be the whole tent that she didn't get along with! That was unlikely, but still a possibility.
She had just said good-bye to her father, and now she was carrying her bags and her owl cage. It was a lot to hold, so she hoped to get inside quick. But, it looked like everyone was in some kind of hold-up in front of the door. "Merde," Shit. she mumbled in French, so less people knew what she had said. She always wanted to seem well-parented. Whisper, seeing people in the way of her misteress started loudly announcing Claire's arrival at the top of her lungs. "HOO! HOO!" she said, trumpeting to all to realize that they were in the way.
Great, Claire thought. What an arrival! But she knew Whisper ment well. It was a little cute after all. "Sorrry!" Claire said in an effort to be friendly, even though she was a little irritated right now. "Unlike you, I want to get inside and sit everything down," she said slightly rudely with a statement hair flip.

Don't be fooled by my looks, blood, and riches; I am actually really nice.

As Damien was walking out of the tent wanting to wait and be there to greet all the others who would be joining him in the tent when suddenly a boy standing at a height of 5,3 the same height as Damien was about to enter the tent before suddenly loosing his footing and falling, Damien quickly rushed outwards to catch him to soften his fall as he held him in his arms his greyish blue eyes meeting beautiful pitch black ones. As Damien held him he noticed a few things about this boy like how he had long silky black hair that flowed down to his shoulders. Damien gave a small but charming smile before looking at him. “Are you alright ?” He asked softy his tone being soft and gentle with a layer of concern.

They seemed to just stare into each others eyes before his eyes widen as he looked up noticing that the other tent guest had just arrived as soon as he had caught this boy. His face heated up as he felt embarrassed as this wasn’t how he wanted to introduce himself to these people. He looked down at the boy before helping him stand back up on his feet. “I’m Damien..it’s nice to meet you come on we’ll head inside” He quickly said before taking the boys hand and helping him inside.

Once they made it inside he quickly stepped in front of the group as he figured he should try and redo his first impression now. He slowly cleared his throat before looking forward towards everyone. “Hello everyone I’m so glad that you all could accompany me in my tent! For some of you who haven’t met me yet I am Damien Dragonclaw it’s a pleasure to meet you!” As he spoke they would hear his excitement he slowly looked at the beds and snack as that he had prepared before looking back at them and continuing.

“ I have baked a few snacks so please do help yourself as there should be plenty for everyone! And I took the liberty of preparing beds for you all so there’s two blue bed a yellow and teal bed and then a black bed so please make yourselves at home!” He said pointing at the others who was near his blue bed before smiling and walking off to see the rest of his stuff down on the bed as he started to get lost in his thoughts.

God I hope that went well…oh did I bake enough snacks…? God I feel like that was such a shitty introduction.

Drago was left dazed. This guy was like a prince in shining armor. He was, in Drago's mind, ultra cute and extremely handsome. You know, like that drop-dead gorgeous type? This had to either be a dream come true or a nightmare. Definitely a nightmare when their peaceful moment was disrupted by lots of angry rumbling outside and people shouting about getting into their tent. Then stepped away, Drago blushing terribly. He desperately wished that he wasn't so clumsy.

The drop-dead gorgeous teenage dream, went on to explain that he was the tent organizer, and his name was Damien Dragonclaw. Hell, even his name sounded cute. Drago listened avidly to everything that Damien explained and nodded along. He immediately chose the black bed for himself since it was the one bed that the others were ignoring or avoiding. He smiled.
He didn't mind, and it reminded him of his bed at home.
He silently thanked his father for forcing him to come to this camp.
For once, he actually felt like his father had done something to help him.

He kept stealing glances at Damien and wondered how on Earth he was supposed to get his attention. He blushed at having such thoughts. That certainly wasn't like him. Then again, it wasn't like him to go to a camp filled his the possibilities of getting bullied and pushed around. So maybe a new Drago was arising.

As the variety of complaints behind him grew increasingly diverse, the two participants in their impromptu staring contest finally moved. Not feeling thankful at all, Mamori sarcastically said "thanks for the cooperation," before walking into the tent without bothering to take a look at the forming queue behind him. Two girls and what sounded like a bird, if his ears were not deceiving him.

The moment he enters, the music fadied to unsettling silence and temperature dropped several degrees free of charge. Whoever put this place together was very much into the idea of a "haunted circus" and wanted to convey it through the dim lighting, dark color scheme, and questionable wall decorations. Heavy bed curtains hung around each bed apparently their attempt at privacy in a wall-less space. While this setup would send anyone with functioning survival instincts running, to Mamori's exhausted brain it looked like heaven incarnate; three seconds to unconsciousness sounded perfect right about now.

Something about one of the boys from the staring contest immediately rubbed him the wrong way. The kid had positioned himself in front of everyone like a human roadblock, delivering what sounded like a host's welcome speech with all that "accompany me in MY tent" nonsense as if anybody actually owned these temporary cloth boxes they'd been assigned through a random signup sheet. Probably some pureblood brat who'd watched daddy play lord of the manor at family dinners, or whatever it is that rich people do for entertainment. The surname Dragonclaw did ring a bell with Mamori but now is definitely not the time for that rabbit hole.

Quick scan of the room showed quite a few mirrors which led to an immediate "Oh perfect" from Mamori as he moved to unload his bag on one of the beds...until he saw the suspiciously Hogwarts-esque color scheme of the yellow and blue bedding, with the yellow one being offensively bright against the tent's gloomy aesthetic. Combined with the Dragonclaw kid's earlier speech, Mamori could safely assume someone had done their homework on the tent occupants. The bedding colors practically screamed "please read between the lines and pick your symbolic match" without actually saying it out loud.

Magical micromanagement however, was something the pink haired badger absolutely did not appreciate. This whole setup crossed lines he didn't even know existed — violation of freedom of choice, breach of privacy expectations, unauthorized background investigation without consent, etc. etc. But he understands though, no point in starting a tent fight over democratic principles when democracy wasn't exactly wizarding society's strong suit.

So Mamori, in a silent act of protest against both assigned beds & self-appointed tent lords and as a continued exercise of his today-only dickish persona, bypassed the yellow bed and deliberately headed for the black one — dark, practical since stains wouldn't show, and perfect for sleeping — only to find its already been claimed. With another mental tally added to his growing list of irritants, he settled for the teal bed instead. At least it was still reasonably far from both the stage and the entrance. If anyone had a problem with it, he could just shrug and say that Damien never bothered to explain what the colors were supposed to mean so he just went with his favorite. Or make up another bullshit excuse on the spot. Or just throw a tantrum and say that his bags are already there so deal with it.

The mirrors on the walls were, to his great disappointment, all funhouse types either lengthening him into a beanpole or swelling him like a balloon, not a normal reflection anywhere — just his luck. Rolling his eyes at a glimpse of some creepy clown reflection flickering in the corner, Mamori settled for the least offensive vertically concave mirror to check his dust situation. Surprisingly clean. Probably thanks to the wind's impromptu cleaning service. His neck however, was another story entirely, pink hair plastered to skin with midday sweat in a decidedly unglamorous fashion that made him look like he'd been wrestling with humidity and lost badly.

After wiping his neck with one handkerchief, Mamori went back to the bed he had chosen, dropped his specs on the nightstand with a little more force than was necessary, and in one quick move, pulled the curtains closed around himself, managing a brief "Sorry, but I'm dead on my feet and need sleep. Wake me before dinner by making an unholy amount of noise near my bed, thanks. Oh, and tell Damien to save me some snacks." to the nearest blondie (@Elizabeth Hamilton) before burrowing under the covers and blacking out.
