Damien walked into the astronomy tower as he had an important assignment to do today giving to him by Professor McCorie himself. He was to be in charge of two students and be the intern that the two would rely on for there years at Hogwarts. Which to most would be a lot of responsibility and pressure but Damien didn’t see it that way as that meant that the professor trusted him enough to give him this assignment but it also meant a chance to prove himself as if he made a good impression on these two students maybe Professor McCorie will assign him other students to be a mentor of sorts to. As he made his way up the stairs his thoughts ran wild with what he could do to make a good impression on these two students whoever they were. Speaking of the two students Damien didn’t really know who they were as he hadn’t seen the list yet but in a few minutes he would find out just who he was assigned to. He had to think about activities and things they could do to help further there study’s while also having fun as that was the thing Damien found important was that learning should be fun because if it was boring who would want to learn anything if they didn’t feel engaged or even excited about it. As he finally made it to the top of the tower he walked over towards Professor McCorie desk and looked down to see a clipboard with the list of students and who they were assigned to. He slowly picked it up and scanned it as he tried to find his name. As he scanned it his eyes widen as he found his name and who he was in charge of and the two names immediately stood out to him. Lorenzo Vincenti a younger Ravenclaw that Damien had met twice before who despite his pureblood background deep down Damien could tell he had a kind soul and would grow up to be something great one day, and then there was Camille De Varenne who was another younger Ravenclaw Damien had met in the library who had a very snobby attitude and was kinda rude but noting Damien couldn’t handle as he figured past that attitude and snobby exterior Camille had the talent to be someone absolutely exceptional he just would have to get past his stubborn ways. Damien immediately realized the whole test here if there was one, it was due to the fact of how Camille and Lorenzo personality’s were so incredibly different that they would most definitely clash with each other, well Damien was ready for whatever challenge was thrown his way so he could handle this. He set his bag down at a desk and pulled out a few astronomy books he had before waiting for the other boys to arrive. |

| CV | If you asked Camille De Varenne what his favorite subject in school was, or if he had any, the answer would have been no and none of them. None of his classes he looked forward to based on subject alone, finding them all a waste of time with exceptions made for his class partners. None of the subjects would contribute to his future that was already laid out for him. Classes shared with the rest of his classmates sparked dread in him, in fact. The other houses weren’t the problem, except a few select, waste of space, Slytherins. The little budding Casanova could be found beside a new girl in each class. In classes shared with Gryffindors, it was Rosaline Everhart. A pretty brunette with the heart of gold associated with Gryffindor, based on what he’d heard about the house. They had met on the Hogwarts Express and then later, after being personally victimized by moving stairs, stumbled in late together in Potions on the first class of the year. With such fabulous company, he hadn’t minded in the slightest. From Hufflepuff, it was Maisie, the bubbly, sociable daughter to one of his father’s business partners. And finally, in all classes shared with Slytherin, it was Esme Hestridge. Her aura of sophistication worthy of someone like him, exceptional beauty and platinum blonde hair had caught his eye immediately. With a partner in every class, he spared his own housemates no mind. Avoided them entirely, in fact. The first impression had been horrible, and the problem could be boiled down to one single source of frustration. Lorenzo. Last name was insignificant, he hadn’t even bothered to ask. But one thing was as clear as day: Camille couldn’t stand him. His utter dislike for the boy had tainted their whole house, including all the participants, old and young alike. If pressed to choose a favorite subject, Camille might have carelessly muttered Astronomy. It wasn’t that he liked it, of course — he liked nothing about this school — but compared to brewing foul-smelling potions or trekking through mud for Herbology, gazing at stars was clean, civilized, and required little more than sitting still. Unfortunately, someone must have taken his offhand remark far too seriously, because the next thing he knew, his name had been added to some blasted mentorship program. Astronomy, of all things. Worse still, he was assigned to Damien Dragonclaw, the booklover and self-proclaimed artist. As if Camille De Varenne needed guidance. The whole arrangement was insulting. He had better things to do than stare at constellations with a chaperone. Alas, here he was, climbing the stairs to the Astronomy tower with nothing to do but endure and bite the bullet. Reaching the assigned meeting spot, the first thing he noticed was, apart from the older Ravenclaw, the lack of presence. Merde, it was private tutoring? For the life of him, he hoped the others were simply late, and that at least one of them would be one of the girls he had made aquaintance. Being alone with Damien and his starry delusions was not something he was yearning for, though the reality would turn out to be far, far worse. “Is this all?” Camille asked, not bothering with introductions, subtle panic creeping into his voice. “Where are the others?” |

Damien sighed a breath of relief as he heard foot’s step coming up the tower, he assumed it was a either Lorenzo or Camille coming up, and in a way he was right it was Camille who had entered the astronomy tower first. In some way he was excited but also dissapointed as he would have had it rather be Lorenzo who he saw first to catch up with him before speaking to Camille but he would just catch up with Lorenzo afterwards. He put on his charming smile while getting ready to greet Camille. Hello Camille it’s a pleasure to meet you again, please take a seat” He said smiling before he noticed how he seemed alarmed or worried the he’d be by himself with Damien….This made him frown almost as he was almost irritated at Camille attitude, he could handle his attitude but he had a feeling that he would lose his temper by the end of the night. “No don’t worry the next student will be here soon so there is no need to worry.” He managed to hide his irritation in his voice pretty well as he needed to stay calm and collective as if he failed to handle both of them together it means he would have failed professor McCorie and the trust he put in him and he was not about to lose that ever. He set his bag to the side as he put his notebook and astronomy book down as he waited for Lorenzo to make it so they could get started. As he waited a few moments he heard more footsteps approach as he figured it was Lorenzo approaching. As he waited for him to enter when he saw him he didn’t look too happy if Damien was honest especially once he saw Camille it looked like it sullen his mood even more. Damien made a mental note to talk to Lorenzo before he left to see if he was okay and to ask if something was bothering but first he needed to start the task at hand. “Hello Lorenzo it is delightful to see you again please take a seat” He gave him a small but genuine smile before gesturing for him to come have a seat like he did with Camille. Damien had opted to sit in the middle of the two of them putting some distance between them as well as incase anyone tried anything he could stop it from happening before it got worse. “Now I’m sure your both wondering why you are here well…” He took a deep breath before continuing “Professor McCorie assigns a group of students an intern for there years at Hogwarts to be like there designated person to help with question they may have or anything they need help with.” He stopped for a moment to pause and look at there face as he could already bet Camille was either taken back but this idea or absolutely infuriated about it. “So he assigned me to two of you so I will be your main intern for the rest of your years at Hogwarts and more students may be added to this group in the later future” He said smiling as he could Immediately tell there would probably be an uproar in a few moments about this decision. If Damien was honest while he didn’t really mind being with Camille his first and for most pick for who he wanted to be an intern for was Lorenzo as ever since that night in the astronomy tower he felt closer to him and had more of a connection than he had with Camille. |

| CV | The welcome was anything but warm. The flicker of disappointment, whether real or imagined, in Damiens face when he laid eyes on Camille was unmistakable. As if he could erease what just had happened, the older Ravenclaw quickly flashed him a smile. By then it was too late. His mood, if possible, soured even more. If their last meeting hadn’t been less than positive, he would have been astounded to be greeted with anything but enthusiasm. No one, save for the deep look of hate on Lorenzos face that he was starting to fear would permanently get stuck that way, any time he walked into a room, Camille had never experienced anyone unhappy to see him. It was still annoying, even if it was Damien. Damien should count himself lucky to be able to share a room with him alone, but for once, he decided to see the positives, by reading between the lines. Disappointment in this case, meant that he must have been expecting someone else. That, in return, eased his worries that it would be a private lesson, though it could still be an ogre for all he knew. Camille mentally rolled his eyes at his overly polite greeting, though outwardly, his eyes only narrowed slightly. “Mhm, I can see that.” He said, returning his smile that did not meet his eyes. He was not in the mood for fake pleasantries. While they waited for the other person– only one more student– he offered him to take a seat. Camille glanced with disinterest between the avaliable chairs and remained standing. Wanting to wait to see who his unfortunate partner would be before he finalized his decision to stay. Like he had a choice. With his back turned towards the entrance he could only hear Damien greet the next arrival. The French boy froze in place. When he heard the name Lorenzo, Camille couldn’t believe his ears. What are the odds? Turning to face the boy he loathed, he simply couldn’t believe how unlucky he was instead. Very well, there he was, glaring daggers at him as if Camille hadn’t essentially been forced to join this mentorship. If he would have known prior that he would be sharing the room with his bunkmate, Camille would have refused to set his foot inside the astronomy tower. He could rest assured that he would not have been here, had he known. At the very least, it was nothing personal. This time. Compared to his own arrival, Damien was thrilled to see his personal demon materalized. It was disgusting. Likewise, Lorenzo greeted them but reserved all the greatness for their mentor alone. With crossed arms, Camille rolled his eyes, convincing himself he didn’t care, nor did he want, any of Lorenzos greetings. He could shove it up somewhere the sun didn’t shine for all he fucking cared. “Lorenzo…” He acknowledged cooly, making it clear that he was not pleased to see him. With Damien in the middle to keep them from jumping down each others throats, which was absolutely necessary, they sat down and began introductions. Camille did a funny face at his comment that they must be wondering what they were doing here. Of course he knew what he was doing here, it was extra tutoring for astronomy fanatics, was it not? However, he didn’t interrupt. It was Damien who paused first to glance between them, clearly waiting for a reaction. Camille stayed unbothered. Annoyed, yes, but he knew what he’d been forced into. Only one detail truly shocked him. “The whole year?!” Camille barked in disbelief, toppling forward in his seat. Merlin, he had been dreading a month. How did they expect him to survive a whole year of tutoring together with Lorenzo? “What do you plan to teach us in that amount of time? How to map the heavens themselves?” |

Damien let out a silent sigh as whatever hatred or rivalry the two of them had for each other seemed to run deeper than a petty dispute so that meant Damien was going to have to try and defuse it so that way they would be able to work together in projects. He slowly turned to look at Camille before calmly correcting him. “um it isn’t just for this one year it’s for all of your years at Hogwarts from now till your 7th year. He calmly said as he had a feeling that this would cause an outburst between the two of them but he currently didn’t want to hear the argument break up so he tried to shift the conversation to something else. “Now for what I’ll be teaching you I’ll be teaching you about things that are not included in your lessons so like basically lessons that will help put you somewhat ahead of your peers” He quickly said as he pulled out of his astronomy book sitting it on the table before he continued. “While also helping insure your studies go smoothly and any questions that you have about anything can be answered as best as I can answer them.” As he spoke his energetic tone was radiating off the walls as he hopped these two could find a way to get along and not try to one up or argue with each other. He turned to look at the two of them before speaking again. “Now seeing as you both have already met each other I won’t have to worry about introductions, so now we can move onto discussing any assignments or anything that y'all may need help on” As he spoke a small part of his brain was nagging at him as he realized they both would think he was seeing them as helpless or incapable of doing their own work so he quickly decided to add one more thing to what he was saying. “Also I am not doing this because I see y’all as incapable of doing your own work or anything like that as you both are super intelligent and more than capable of doing things yourself professor McCorie just thought it be a good idea for us to try and work together.” Once he said all he needed too he kept his smile up while silent praying to himself that this would be the right decision and way to handle this. |

| CV | Any fool with ears could tell Camille was being ironic when he suggested the tutoring would cart them off to the stars. And if they couldn’t tell by his tone, however that would be possible, anyone with a shred of intelligence would know that it was impossible; No one had mapped out the heavens, or the galaxy beyond. If the world’s finest minds, who actually devoted their lives to studying the universe, had yet to uncover all its secrets, then three clueless kids were certainly not going to be the ones to revolutionize it. His dormmate, bless him, was apparently stupid enough to take his word for it. Excited about the prospect of learning the impossible, Lorenzo begged Damien to make it a reality. Camille couldn’t decide if he should laugh or roll his eyes. Rolling his eyes was a given, considering the stupidity. But he didn’t laugh as he leaned forward towards his enemy, past Damien to remind him in a condescending tone: “That, dear Lorenzo,” the word ‘dear’ came out acidic, “was a joke. Ever heard of it?” It didn’t seem like it, that was for certain. Flicking him off, Camille leaned back in his chair again, letting Damien continue. To Damien’s credit, he didn’t seem under the assumption that he had the knowledge to discover the universe, but the next news was still worse than the last. If a whole year had sounded like a death sentence waiting to happen, hearing that the mentorship would stretch over seven years was the final execution. Camille couldn’t believe his ears, whipping his head to the side, mouth half-ajar and staring at the older boy as if he had just personally insulted him. Though having to sit here in the first place, listening to the other two’s delusions was an insult to his precious time and intelligence in itself. That the fellow first year had questionable tastes was no news to him, with that horrendous pink stuffed goose that he shared a bed with willingly, yet he was baffled how he could seem so unbothered by the arrangement. The human mind in some special individuals, was truly a mystery. Astronomy must be one of his passions… apparently, otherwise he could not see how anyone would subject themselves to this. The only reason that Camille was here was because he’d essentially been forced. Seeing this was only meant to advance their knowledge and grades with the help of Damien, Camille failed to see how his participation was mandatory. What really were the consequences if he, say, just stood up and fled the room? It would be impolite while the older Ravenclaw had dedicated his time to tutor them, but politeness be damned. He’d stopped caring at some point between being assigned a top-bunk bed and a personal spy to report to his father on his every move. His time here at Hogwarts was already doomed, no matter if he abandoned the ship. The only thing stopping him from leaving was that he did not know for certain what refusal of service would entail. “You’ve got to be kidding me,” the French diva said under his breath, albeit not making any grand attempts at hiding his dismay, if anyone shall pay enough attention. At the sugar-coated flattery of their intelligence, Camille forced an ill-convincing smile. He didn’t need anyone to tell him about his capabilities, his confidence(arrogance) was enough on his own. Feigning interest, Camille clasped his hands together in his lap and regarded the group with a considering tilt of his head. “How often did you plan for us to do these meetings? Is participation mandatory, or are you just available when called upon?” The less time he had to assign to group tutoring, the better. |

Damien was physically screaming inside as he just wanted to leave and forget about this whole night but he knew that he couldn’t do that as he had a duty to his professor and he wasn’t going to fail him. He could feel the tension between the two of them but wouldn’t say noting for now as he figured it wasn’t his place. He turned to Lorenzo first so he could answer his question before getting to Camille questions. “Their you go Lorenzo! That’s the excitement and enthusiasm I was looking for! As for if you’re allowed to use the telescope yes as long as we are careful and respect everything we use in the classroom! I would also like one of you if that’s alright with you after our sessions to stay behind and help me clean the equipment I’ll make sure to ask Professor McCorie if he could write excuses for when that happens to give our head of house so that way yall won’t get written up or anything.” As he spoke he continued to give off his calm but warming and friendly smile that many students knew him for as he refused to crack under pressure as the last time he did that it wasn’t a pretty sight he was honestly embarrassed just even thinking about it. But right now he wasn’t thinking about that he was focused on Lorenzo and Camille and trying to find a way for them to not rip each other bloody throats out. He turned to Camille so he could address his question next, As to how often I want us to meet I feel like it depends on the two or y’all schedules but I would like to try and at least meet twice a week or if not that then once every two weeks, but I personally feel twice a week would be better as I could help teach yall more.” After he answered both their questions he moved his personal book between the two of them as he would allow them to look inside it. “Yall at free to look inside my book just be careful please! As for why it looks different I get all of my books customized as well as add side notes and extra information on some stuff so if anything interest you do share I’ll be happy to go over it with the two of you!” So far this was going well he had one student who was excited to learn and seemed eager at using the telescope which he couldn’t blame him as it is quite awesome but then he has the other student who thinks he’s better than everyone and doesn't need help, to Damien shock both of them reminds him of himself as Lorenzo is the nerdy but expressive side of him eagred to learn and expressive his emotions while Camille is his prideful side unwilling to admit when he needs help or doesn’t know something. He honestly think he could get through to both of them and help them get over whatever their disagreement is he just has to figure out how he will do that. |
