───PARTICIPATION───Practices will be hosted from time to time as an optional IC means of mingling and preparing. While these aren't required, they're highly encouraged. Introduce yourself and get to know fellow choristers! We will perform on some special occasions, such as holidays and events. These aren't obligatory either, but if you choose to skip out on several, I may reach out to see what sort of scenes would entice you. If you haven't been active in choir and you don't log on for several months, you may be removed. Our Discord is optional but highly encouraged, as that's where we'll do most of our planning, with lots of votes held to determine the directions we take.
───ON AMPHIBIANS───Your character doesn't have to have one to join! If they have a toad as a pet, they may bring it. If not, they'll be allowed to pick one to sing with, however: this isn't to be treated as a "free pet". This animal would be an NPC only available to your character during choir-related scenes. Otherwise, we would be subverting the rule in which pets must be purchased.Toads are among the least-loved pets permitted at Hogwarts. Several students who have made this realization were quick to return their mucusy friends to Magical Menagerie, where many an amphibian has gone unpurchased, unloved, left waiting on a shelf. In an effort to provide them with a wholesome home and ample stimulation, the Frog Choir of Hogwarts has adopted some instead, giving these lonesome creatures a newfound purpose."I'll get yer animal. Voice Type (Alto/Soprano/etc): mezzo-soprano (Ranges between Alto and Soprano but can fill the role of both. Santario would tend to sound slightly better on the Alto scale, however.)
Why are you interested in Frog Choir?
OOC: I think this is a neat way to bring people together with something from the lore. IC: Santario loves to sing and she is used to taking care of frogs.

Why are you interested in Frog Choir?
In another life, Pericles' mother is a High Priestess, so it felt natural enough for him to become invested in learning Gregorian chant. It's a beautiful but eerie singing style that played well into his strangeness. This carried over easily enough when his story was translated into the Wizarding World- I like to think she still encouraged a clear singing voice throughout his homeschooling. He would be glad to get involved in something like this to keep up on his practice, meet other choir-style singers, look after a really cool frog, and perform for the entertainment of his schoolmates.
OOC I just think the concept is charming as all get-out, I love this choir in the movies.

Why are you interested in Frog Choir? 'I've always been interested in caring for animals, and I adore singing and theatre. I've sung small parts of my favourite songs for years, and I was in choir during primary school. This sounds like a fun opportunity to flex both interests.

Why are you interested in Frog Choir?
OOC, I want Thora to join a few clubs and get out there. It's a good opportunity for Thora the little hermit to meet a few people.
IC, Thora's not incredibly keen on singing and doesn't exactly do it much, but she's more excited by the frogs and taking care of them, even if they are a little... slimy. Although she isn't used to the little amphibians, she has no problem with caring for animals.

One of Dymphs earliest interests on site was singing and piano but I didn’t explore those much. Frog Choir seems to be the perfect way to get back into it! Her Veela abilities don’t apply here (unless I were to OOC activate them which I’m not doing lol).

At home, I usually sang when my parents were out. Every moment that I could be alone, I would sing softly or louder depending on how I felt. I want to do something with it and... a choir would be the perfect opportunity.

Why are you interested in Frog Choir?
Even though Persephone is not particularly keen on singing, she figures it's time to do something with her time as Hogwarts, make it a little more interesting! Picking up a new hobby doesn't seem like a bad idea, especially if it can take her mind of things. Besides, she appreciates music and is pretty sure she would eventually enjoy making it!
