Books and Bonding PV Damien Dragonclaw Finished

Landon grinned as Damien seemed so excited about Quidditch. He really loved Quidditch himself, and it was nice to have found a kindred spirit who liked history and Quidditch too. "I mean, I don't get to play much, but I'm happy to be included," he said with a smile. He was only second-string, so he only played when something happened to the first-string Keeper, but he loved being on the team nonetheless. "I hope you'd make it as a chaser, but I wouldn't cheer for you if you were against us," he said honestly with a laugh. "Obviously I have to support my Hufflepuffs."

Landon smiled as the younger boy seemed to talk quite a bit and get excited by things. "You are very excited," he observed with a laugh. He wasn't making fun of Damien, but it was a humorous moment either way. "You definitely fit in as a Ravenclaw, most people don't like History of Magic that much," he said with a shrug.

Landon nodded as Damien asked if he was a pureblood. "Yes, I am, but I don't discriminate," he said with a hum. He didn't want to come across as a pureblood who only accepted other purebloods. Even his twin, with her Slytherin house sorting, wasn't the judgmental stereotype of a Slytherin. She was many of the other Slytherin traits, but not obsessed with blood status.

Landon tried to start reading when Damien asked him questions instead. "That's a common misunderstanding. We don't have access to the kitchens, but we are close to them," he said. "Sadly we just get to smell the food, we don't get to make it," he added. He turned back to the book and began to read, his voice calm and even, but not too loud that it would disturb anyone in the library.

Damien smiled softly as he looked at Landon happy to hear that he played qudditch.“Thats epic! And hey I’m postive you’ll get your moment to shine your awesome!” He smiled brightly as he wanted to help encourage Landon and show how incredible he is.“Thank you! I hope I make chaser too! And aww well I’ll still come support all my friends on other teams!” He smiled as he looked up at Landon.

He looked a little shocked when Landon said he fit Ravenclaw, he had never really thought of it before but he guess it made sense as he did read alot of books even before going to Hogwarts and he knew quite alright about certain subjects. “Okay now that I’m thinking about it you may actually be right huh I never thought I be in Ravenclaw but now that I am I can’t see myself in any other house!” He chuckled as he looked at Landon, he chuckled as he heard him mention he was a pureblood but he wasn’t prejudice. “That’s good to know! And I’m not prejudice either my father though…he is a bit but I don’t agree with him!”

Damien had to admit his fathers belief were kinda stupid if you asked him but he didn’t really care about them much as the main goal he wanted to do was just to please his father and make him happy.

Landon smiled softly as Damien seemed so optimistic about Landon playing Quidditch. "Who knows, maybe one day we will play against each other," he observed with a grin. "Obviously Hufflepuff is going to win, but..." he teased, not really being serious. He loved Quidditch, but he wasn't very competitive generally. He nodded as Damien said that he would come support his friends on other teams. "I do the same, but I definitely really focus on Hufflepuff things," he admitted. "I have to support my house, after all."

"What house did you think you would have ended up in?" he asked curiously. "I thought I would be a Ravenclaw for sure, but Hufflepuff just fits, but we already talked about me almost being Ravenclaw," he said with a shrug. "My parents, despite one of them being a Slytherin, never really judged other people for being different," he said. "Or at least as far as I know. I don't know what they were like as kids." He loved his parents and couldn't see them ever being hateful people, but some people were way different when they were younger. Landon hoped that he himself wouldn't change too much. He liked who he was, even if he was anxious at times.

He looked back at the book they had been reading and smiled. "Do you want to read more or are we done for now?" he asked. He was open to whichever Damien wanted but he needed to know if they were going to continue. Eventually they would have to leave the library, but for now, Landon was happy to share the book.

Landon grinned as Damien said that he needed to be ready to lose. "Hey, just give it another year and I'll be first-string Keeper, and I'll be the one blocking all of your shots," he joked. He wasn't super confident in his ability, but he did know that he loved being a Keeper and that he would always do his best. He looked forward to maybe one day playing against Damien.

"I have a good friend in Ravenclaw who I support for things, but if he's up against us Hufflepuffs, I can't actively root for him, no matter how good he is," he said with a laugh. He knew that to root for the other team would be something that Hufflepuffs would not stand for. They were very loyal to their house after all.

Landon nodded as he listened to Damien talk about having felt like he was supposed to be a Gryffindor. "Yeah I somewhat get it, my family always thought I'd be a Ravenclaw too. We come from a long line of Slytherins and Ravenclaws... but the hat thought I suited Hufflepuff best, and I have to agree. I can still be a scholarly Hufflepuff," he observed. He frowned as Damien talked about his father. "I take it you aren't on the best of terms?" he observed quietly.

Landon nodded and looked at Damien. "Go ahead and check it out, see if you want to read ahead, it's okay," he said. He smiled. "We can meet up again to read more, or you can read all of it and then just let me know when you have returned the book to the library," he offered.

Landon chuckled as Damien said he would score all over the Hufflepuff team. "Well then, bring it on," he said with a laugh. He wasn't really the most competitive person, but he could pretend to be one in this sort of conversation. He was so excited for when he would finally get to play in a Quidditch match, but he also somewhat dreaded it. How could he live up to Atlas' skills? She had years of experience over him. But he would do his best!

Landon hummed softly. "His name is Zach. He's kind of close to my Hufflepuff friend, Alyssea, and we are starting to get closer now that we know each other more," he said with a smile. "He's a third year, like me, though I suppose we are almost fourth years now," he explained. "I get along well with Ravenclaws, apparently," he observed. He liked Ravenclaws. His dad was a former Ravenclaw after all. Landon really needed to get to know more Slytherins too, but he was a little afraid of them.

Landon frowned deeply as Damien started to cry. "Oh no, I didn't mean to make you cry!" he said, his blue eyes genuinely concerned. "I'm sorry you and your dad aren't close. He sounds like a rough person to know," he observed. "I wish everyone had a good relationship with their parents like I do," he said with a sigh. He reached toward Damien and patted his back awkwardly. Landon was a caring person, but still could be a little awkward when people cried.

Landon noticed the subject change but didn't comment on it. "We can definitely read together again," he said. "We can send an owl to figure out a time to meet up?" he suggested. He didn't have any idea what his schedule looked like at the moment; the end of the term was coming, so things were busier than usual. He stood and held out a hand to help Damien to his feet too. "But yes, take the book for now and we can meet up again soon."
